I am a single woman, busy, prone to anxiety, & Minnesota nice. A car mechanic might think of working with me as "Taking candy from a baby."
I was very disappointed to find a $850 bill, $100 of which was very simple routine work, and when I asked why he kept the $95 diagnostic fee on the bill he said he was "required to."

I believe if the work is done there, especially if it is costly, knocking off the diagnostic is the right thing to do. Because they did this, I suspect there was padding in other parts of the bill.
When I told people about it, a friend said "I used to be in the industry, and we called it "Done Wrong."
I don't think it was worth it for Dunrite to do this. I have a 117K milage car. They had so much potential business from me, and from people in my neighborhood, including my neighbor friend who drove me to the shop.
