This is a nice bar, well laid out if a little spartan - after all it is Nordic, right? Spartan is their middle name! Went here with a group for a small celebration.
Nice big benches of blonde wood with stools that weigh a ton (huge metal plates under them!) and some interesting touches such as the bottle hanging on the wooden walls with a sprig of various plants in them - nice touch. We all sat around one big wooden table, very comfy. The metal ladders with meathooks for hanging jackets and bags on are quite useful.
Good looking cocktail menu, and the staff are ready to please, but honestly the food is a joke. The 'smorgasbord platter'for $28 was three small cheese servings, two little tins of herring, four crackers and one slice of bread cut in half. I also ordered some sliders and meatballs. When the sliders came out, one per plate at $9 each, i thought they were joking - seriously, a single slider for nine bucks? You are having a larf mate. Then the meatballs - three tiny meatballs per bowl on a pie of mash - meat ball-ettes I think. Very disappointing, although tasty, Likewise a salmon dish was lovely but sooooo small we ordered several, and very pricey.
Sorry guys, need to lift your game on the food front, cost you one if not two stars. read more
