I thought it was a little donut shop, but it was actually a full restaurant/bar. The restaurant didn't really seem to be open yet, but the donuts at back were fresh and coming out for the morning. There were so many options it was very hard to choose what to get. These donuts were special, in that they are brioche and very large and fluffy. We got an apple pie and strawberry cheesecake donut. We definitely didn't need two, but "when in Delaware" I guess? Haha! The woman at the counter was really helpful in our difficult decision and was very friendly and patient with us while we drooled over the donut menu haha!

We immediately felt like we were an inconvenience. After we were seated, the waitress brought out our drinks. 1 1/2 hours later, she comes back with the promise our food would be out soon, then, one minute, then oh yeah they are plating the food. Then we spotted our waitress and a few other servers vaping as the kitchen door opened. The manager was checked out as we were speaking with him. Needless to say the service was awful, so we left. As I said promising, but their staff and customer service is a complete turn off. Eat well folks! Ps. My daughter did a Yelp review right after we left but somehow it's been removed...

The menu changes every two weeks but the website did not say where they were in that cycle so I was disappointed that the toffee cream filled donut that I saw on the menu the day before was not available on the next open day. I bought one of each of the remaining donuts as some varieties were sold out. The shop advertises that some of the donuts are made with brioche dough. While eggy like a brioche, I found the dough not sweet enough. The Love Me Nots is a good example, composed of donut holes fried together and glazed and topped with jimmies, it tasted like glazed bread. The rocky road donut was a cake donut that was also composed of a not sweet enough and overly dense chocolate donut with a chocolate glaze and barely taste-able marshmallow drizzle. The chocolate raspberry was just ok One of the two donuts we did like were the Neapolitan because it was topped generously with a vanilla cream, a chocolate drizzle and a strawberry glaze. The toppings were prominent enough to sweeten the bite. The best of the was the mint chocolate chip filled donut which was filled fully and satisfied our sweet tooth. Overall, I would rate the at 3.5 as I would come back for their filled donuts

The coconut cream pie was incredible, so fluffy and had a nice coconut flavor that wasn't too overpowering. The Boston cream was probably my least favorite, as the filling was a little bit of a weird texture. It was loaded with the filling though which I definitely appreciate!

Unfortunately, the boston cream donut tasted like the chemical smell you smell from a nail salon. It felt like I was eating that smell. The sour cream donut, also great looking, had the perfect texture and the right amount of powdered sugar dusted on top. That one tasted like old fryer oil. I'm super disappointed. I wanted to love this place, but I didn't take more than 2 bites of either donut and I don't know that I'll rush back.

The brown butter biscoff is my personal favorite, but my office goes nuts for all the flavors (including lemon raspberry, crumb cake, dark chocolate sea salt, and ganache) when I bring a box into work to share. On top of it all, they have gluten free doughnuts that are truly delicious! My husband typically cannot enjoy doughnuts, so it's a real treat for him to get to enjoy them here. "We are never going to Dunkin Donuts again!" My favorite donuts in the Philly area in recent years have been Beiler's in Reading Terminal. These are right there with them. I'm calling it a tie overall. But the glazed donuts might be better than anything Beiler's has if that makes sense. They make Krispy Kreme look like a two day old Wawa donut. Lawd have mercy! Get there early and don't expect them to have everything you want. They're small and they get sold out fast. But get whatever you can when you're there and just love it. As I was writing this I also took a bite of the Boston Cream donut. My wife and I agree. It's not too sweet which is actually perfect. They seem to know just how much sweetness works here.
