Mass-produced ingredients tend to show their colors after they've cooled off - at some point Pizza A tastes a lot like Pizza B or Pizza Z for that matter. Those pizzas that are meant to look like the million dollar tv ads: stringy cheese, bubbling red sauce, jellybeans in the crust, tend to turn into glop after reaching room temperature. Roma's is different. Different in a way that it's almost like a combination of pizza and something else - bagel? croissant? German pretzel? Bottom line is that if you pick up a square of Roma's (either hot or cold) expecting conventional pizza taste and texture, you'll be surprised. And if you're surprised there's a good chance that you'll feel angry, disappointed or betrayed. If you just open your mind, close your eyes and take a bite, you might find that there's more than one way to make wonderful, delicious cheese redsauce bread.
