As for the icing, I'm a chocoholic too. I can roll with almost any chocolate except that nasty Palmer cheap crap. The icing was plentiful. The cream was abundant. The flavor of the yeast dough doughnut..... pretty darn good. The white cream here was lighter and not as creamy thick. Not a bad thing, just different. They were moist and had just the right amount of sweet; not overly sweet at all! I have heard rave reviews about most everything she creates, from her infamous cinnamon rolls to her delectable cookies, fudge and candies. All is 100% home made and fresh! I know she is a regular at the Tracy Farmers Market and her goods are very reasonably priced for the amount of time and care she puts into every bite. I can't wait to try more of her goods! Yikes. Decided to bring my mother in law for a quick dinner after reading reviews…read more I decided to ignore the bad reviews and wish I wouldn't have. We walked in and were the only ones in the restaurant. The guy up front was coughing and sneezing nonstop. He seated us and walked away without saying anything. The place looks very old and ran down. Lots of duck tape on the tables and chairs. The chef (Carol?) came out of the kitchen and asked if we needed a few minutes to order. We said yes and didn't see her for a solid 20 minutes. We finally ordered (Walnut chicken, Sesame chicken, and General Tsos chicken). They all came out and looked identical and tasted identical. It was an overpowering sweet / watery flavor. The chicken is very questionable. Finally the bill came. We watched Carol write a random amount down on a post it note and hand it to us. Our total ended up being $48.80. Not sure how she figured out this amount, but it definitely didn't reflect the menu price. The owners at least have a sense of humor (or the people dining do and Carol hasn't noticed)!
