Stopped in here for a coffee after leaving a local cheese house. Walked in and the decor alone was worth stopping, but the coffee was amazingly prepared. I got a salted dark chocolate mocha. And my BFF got a lavender lemonade/tea mix, that was also super yummy. If I hadn't already eaten I would have loved to try one of their paninis. The owners were super nice and knowledgeable. I can't wait to drive out of my way just to come back and get another coffee or a meal. Stop here for your new favorite coffee or tea place. read more

We loved everything about this small coffee/tea shop. Since we are visiting from out of town, enjoyed the selection of candles, soaps and jewelry in addition to their locally roasted coffee and selection of teas. I got the chai with a pump of lavender and it was amazing! read more

Cheesecake is delicious-- creamy, fresh, not too sweet. I had the chocolate chip. Each day is a new flavor I think. This isn't a place for hipsters. Oh, no. I hate to do this, but after writing my initial review it got me hungry for a trip out to Urbana, and sadly, Tea Baggers did not live up to my expectations this time. The first thing I noticed was that there was one lady running the entire front end. Secondly, the menu had been condensed. and many of my favorite sandwiches were no more. Thirdly, the place was really dirty. I'm talking like cobwebs and dust everywhere, especially in the retail area where they sell their teas, and knick-knacks. Plus, the hubby noticed the coffee maker was pretty dirty as well, and needed a good scrub down. Lastly, Our bill was pretty outrageous for two underwhelming (untoasted---not usual for TB's) sandwiches, which I could have made at home myself. Not to mention we had to wait a good ten minutes to get checked out at the register, while the one woman show put in a carry out order. This is disheartening to say, but I won't be back until some changes to Tea Baggers is made. I'm not saying CHANGE the restaurant, but at least tidy up a bit and get organized!!! read more

Nice setting, wonderful owners and the food is very good. I don't go here often however because I only have an hour for lunch. The pace here is slow as they make everything fresh and the owners are the only employees. So, they do a lot of multi-tasking. On a busy lunch break it's taken me an hour and a half to get in and out. So, I would suggest saving this trip for a day off with friends, shopping the stores downtown and having a peaceful, delicious lunch. They also have a nice little selection of wines to take home. I buy some of my favorite tea here. If you love unusual varieties of tea, this place is worth stopping at. My favorites are the Honey Ginseng and Ginger Peach. They also have a variety of decaf options, which can be hard to find. They serve lunch as well. I gave one of their sandwiches a try, but wasn't impressed. It wasn't bad, but it also wasn't an experience worth going out of the way to repeat. read more

The panini menu has so many choices. Soups and sandwiches are handmade and tasty. Blended coffee flavored by the owners themselves. Many choices of coffee and tea. The lavender lemonade is a great choice for a hot day or a pick me up. My favorite sandwich is The Garden Deck! Turkey with cucumber slices, fresh greens, tomatoes, red onion and herb mayo on your choice of bread. Teabaggers has been around over 20 years. It's a great place to enjoy. I'm wokring across the street from the place so it's easy to get to. The brewed coffee is so-so. The place also sells coffee beans (whole and possibly ground). I will try their whole bean coffee and make it at home. It's a little priced for what I've had. read more

Grew up in Urbana and on Teabaggers. Each time I am in town from LA, I stop in for egg salad sandwich and an ice cap. Delicious!

Where do I begin. First, if you are searching for a coffee shop in Urbana, Teabaggers is the absolute best. Problem is they are not found on a search for coffee shops in Urbana. But that is being corrected. I love the owners. They are so caring, loving and focused on having the freshest and best tasting food you will find in Urbana and the surrounding area. From Sandwiches, to tens of home created flavored coffees and teas, to delicious soups, and salads and . . . I give them a five in every area. They have a spinach salad, that doesn't have spinach - and is the best spinach salad I've had. I am not a wine-drinker, that much, but have tasted their wines - great variety and excellent. You don't want to miss Teabaggers if you are coming to or living in Urbana. 5 star all the way. read more

Today was my first time eating at tea baggers. When First walked I thought to myself this is a nice place. There was only one lady working and i was told she was the owner and she wasn't friendly. She seated our party of 8 which 3 were kids begging for a drink. she never came over and offered us drinks. About 15 mins maybe even 20 she finally came over. $1.75 for one can of pop was crazy and a bottle of water was 1$1.95. That was bad. Also when my child split his drink she never came over to help. I had to go to the bathroom to get paper towels. When we got our food which was good i couldn't believe the owner who sad she has kids served the adults first and made the kids wait for their food. That was big no no to me. After we ate we had to wait a very long time to get our bill and we i did get the bill i couldn't believe the price. $25 for one peanut butter sandwich, chicken salad sandwich, pasta salad and 3 pops. I WILL NEVER be back. read more

Two wonderful people run this restaurant. Grant makes up his own recipes for Panini's and other sandwiches. It is a quaint quiet place to have breakfast or lunch. Yummy lattes, muffins. Rotating artwork that is for sale hanging on the walls. Very friendly. Great place to eat read more
