The worse Dunkin' Donuts I have ever been to for multiple years now. It is close to my house so I've consistently still gone there regularly regardless of how terrible the service has ALWAYS BEEN. I would not recommend this location to anyone that wants to have a good start to their day. Coming from someone who has been going here for 4 years. They never have donuts they rarely have any of there hot food and today what really took me here is that they didn't even have coffee and I quote "we are all out for today". On top of that two days in a row I've ran into a blonde with green acrylics that offers horrible service. And all I'm going there for is my daughter and the mother of my child to grab 4 donuts and a coffee for me. How do you consistently screw that up?!? I don't even write reviews so you can take this one to heart but this place is absolutely awful and at this point might as well just shut down or get all new management and well as team members. Sat in the drive-thru for approximately five minutes without being helped. I then pulled forward to use the walk-up window. The employee was sitting inside with his feet up, playing on his phone. When I knocked on the window to get service, he yelled at me when I asked him his name. Wow I'm not sure why this location was open if customers were not going to be served. Omg I am being generous with the two stars only because the person taking my order was extremely kind. The rest of the staff was rude, lazy, had no clue how to make a grilled cheese sandwich. Always a long wait in the drive thru, I don't think they have enough workers. It takes forever for them to take your order once you get to the screen. I think I waited about 15min to order at 6:40am. My coffee was hot, bagel & cream cheese were ok, I think my bagel had raisins in it-I ordered just a bagel-which I thought would be plain. I also ordered 50 munchkins-they didn't taste the freshness but were still edible. I feel bad for the workers if there is only a few working. It's just getting worse. I have no explanation. This location takes ONE order at a time. Everyone waits in the drive through, even for mobile orders. When you pull up to the order box they ALWAYS make you wait. 5-10 minutes is not uncommon. They take your order, then you get to pull forward. Same thing with the next car. They don't take your order until the person at the window has received theirs and is pulling away. If you try to help the situation by ordering ahead... nope. That doesn't work either. And then you're just stuck in the line. Waiting in the drive through for 20-30 minutes is the norm here. The lobby is often closed, but when it's open you don't save any time by going inside. It's the same wait. This location desperately needs an intervention. read more

We go to this Dunkin as it's near our home and 9 of 10 times, order we made 30 minutes earlier in the app is incomplete or incorrect -we get there and no donuts for instance, after we have ordered and paid in the app. No refunds at that place , have to call customer care or dispute the charge with our bank. Drinks that are pretty standard come without the standard ie: whipped cream and chocolate swirls on top. It even says whipped cream and chocolate swirls on the label they print and apply to the side of the drink. Huh? Not sure how they can keep consistently screwing stuff up but they do. read more

The drive thru is slower than molasses on a cold day. The design of the location means that, when the drive thru gets backed up, and it will, the line of cars blocks the entrance. This means that you can't even get into the parking lot to go inside. Seriously need to consider either a redesign so people can park to go inside, ways to speed up the drive thru (maybe take more than one order at a time), or both. I was able to finally park and go inside and the car that had been in front of me had only moved up one spot when I left with my food. Gotta speed things up guys!!! read more

It's pretty disheartening to see that vehicles are extending into the street each morning because management have so sense of urgency to facilitate smooth business operations. Usually these folks are pretty on the ball and produce quality products. Today there were two young ladies I've never seen before, and although friendly, We're obviously not the professionals who are usually there. Plus it seemed there was a manager type person there, again whom I've never seen before. Maybe he was making them nervous. The delivery truck was there which was blocking the flow for people who wanted to park and walk in. You would think their timing could be a little better. I really enjoy doing these reviews. I like to document what I experience while having fun going out with my son. I try to think about what I experienced and what I think other people would care to know. With that being said here's my review. When first approaching the building everything looked very clean. Upon entering the building I noticed it was not that it was clean but that it was well decorated. As a corporate chain they didn't have or it doesn't seem as if they had much free-will in decorating. Thus everything was in its place as it probably should have been. The store was clean but not tidy. With that being said there were tables that weren't clean and litter that was about. To say that the service was subpar would be saying it kindly. My son and I walked in and stood at the counter for over 15 minutes before we were even acknowledged. By that time there were two other families were about 10 people behind us. The sweets that we ordered weren't very fresh, but the coffee smelled good. I didn't have any so I can't speak on flavor. We found a nice place to sit and eat our doughnuts. This part of the experience perplexed me the most. There was an employee who came out to change the bag in the trash can, but he didn't clean up anything where any of the trash off the tables. After about 10 minutes we had to leave and no trash bag had been replaced inside the trash can so I actually ended up taking our trash with us and throwing it away in a trash bag I have in the car. I might return, but I doubt that it will be anytime soon. What I do know for sure is that if I do return all only be using the drive-through. Not very impressed at all. read more

I truly wish I could give a lower rating. Went there the other day at six in the morning. All the employees were out back smoking. I pulled up to the speaker told them I was going to purchase a dozen donuts. I said I wanted nine chocolate, frosted glazed donuts, three maple frosted donuts, and a pink frosted donut. When I pulled up to the window, the employee told me how much it was. I started to hand her my card, and she said, "I'll run your card and then show you the donut". I said isn't that backwards shouldn't I see first". she just smiled and ran the card. When she was done, she opened the box and I saw that the donuts that were in there were not the ones I ordered. I told her that and she didn't explain to me. Oh well, our baker didn't show up so we don't have those donuts. So I said, these are donuts from yesterday. She said yes they were. I said they're not the ones I wanted and you didn't tell me that upfront.. I said I don't want those. My grandchildren will not eat them. Her response was to look at me and say well. I already ran your card. I paid $15 for a box of day old donuts that I didn't order. It's a scam! Not the first time and probably won't be the last time. I am telling everyone I know not to go there. I don't know who owns this franchise, but this place is not only producing subpar food, but also ripping off the customer. I tried to go on their website but it's ironic. They fired and hired a new staff. Again. I think it's the 6th or 7th staffing purge since they opened, but this time it doesn't look like they're hiring again; it'll just be the two shift managers trying to run the shop themselves and everyone gets to wait. Don't go if you don't have 30 minutes to wait in line for a coffee. I love D&D, but this one's management gave up right after they opened. It's never cleaned, it's not staffed, never managed, and it doesn't look like it'll change. The two shift managers just call everyone 'buddy,' 'boss,' or 'chief,' and try to keep customers moving, even if they're rude and orders are wrong. I was excited when Dunkins came back to Topeka, but this place is so poorly managed I'm hoping it fails sooner rather than later so we can try again with new owners and management. read more

Honestly. Been here thousands of times. I've gone every single day for the last probably six months for coffee each morning. Occasionally I'll get sandwiches. But I seem to ignore the bad things that happened just because it's close by. The coffee is very inconsistent. Taste different each day. Constantly "out of " food items or "over is being cleaned". The stuff in the early morning are very bitter. Once got into an argument with the lady at 5:30 in the morning because she thought me saying I want to cream in my coffee meant whipped cream on my coffee and she kept putting more when I would ask for cream. I ordered a tomato pesto grilled cheese with white cheddar took it to work opened it and it was two untoasted pieces of bread with yellow cheese and that was it. I try not to complain because everyone knows me there since I go every single day, but it has gone downhill so bad. I worked there when I was about 16 and got fired about three weeks in because I asked if I could change my schedule availability for a funeral. I do feel bad for the workers there because I know they are treated like dog crap, but they have the opportunity to not reflect that on the customers. Honestly just kinda of sad. read more

would give zero if possible and i'm a former employee. the staff is terrible because they don't train and they don't make sure employees receive paychecks, so why would anyone care about doing a good job? they probably aren't getting paid for it. managers regularly tell employees to lie and say that we're out of things or that a machine isn't working so that they don't have to make it, or train someone else to make it. and they just failed the company health inspection because of black mold IN the machines. they just fired two of the only GOOD managers and a bunch of people quit consequently, so don't expect timely service any time soon. horrible company. read more

This is a very poorly run Dunkin' Donuts. They struggle with hiring keeping staff managing. The results are very long lines inside and outside. It's often impossible to enter the parking lot due to cars backed up from drive-through. The interior is disgusting and dirty. No tables are wiped down. The men's room was locked so that no one could use it. I was discouraged from ordering anything that needed to be cooked such as a bacon egg sandwich since the guy running the register would also have to be the one to cook it and there was a very long line. We used to love their coffee. The last year their quality control is horrible. My wife and I go, get two coffees of some sort and almost 3/4 of the time, one is terrible. I hate to waste things, and am easy to please-but I literally just poured out an entire large iced coffee. I didn't take it back because I don't want to be that type of customer. I never write reviews, and when I do, it's only because the service was either poor or staff were unprofessional. To start off, whoever built this Dunkin, obviously didn't think about parking or traffic, as there are a line of cars starting at the drive thru window and all around the building and out into 21st ST every morning which causes a traffic hazard. There's only one way in and one way out of that place. The staff there are very rude and unprofessional. The lady taking my order had an attitude with me and acted as if she really didn't want to be there, and when I got my food, it tasted nasty and was cold. When I tried to return it, the manager took an attitude with me and threw my change at me as if it were my fault because they weren't doing their job. Employees dress any kind of way. Never have seen a uniform on anyone. The coffee is disgusting, and for the price I paid, none of it was worth it. I went there a second time, going through the drive thru, I had my window down, and while I was sitting in line, I smelled weed, I look over, and there is an employee sitting outside by the back door smoking a joint. I drove off out of line as I really don't want someone who's high on the job making my food or drink. The staff argue with each other in front of customers which is very unprofessional. I don't know who is running this place, but they need to get this store together with some new employees who actually care to work and take their time with customers, or just shut this place down.
