Went in to try the Sabrina Carpenter espresso drink lol. It was ok. Cup was 80% ice, 20% drink. The drink is oatmeal milk with I think 2 (???) shots of espresso, and brown sugar flavor syrup. $6 for a medium. It was just ok. Nothing special. Mostly milk flavor with a hint of espresso. The ice is satisfyingly crunchy. The apple fritter was $3.29 for a little one. Light, fluffy, nicely thin crispy outside, good taste. Sorry, but bigger, better, fritters for less are available at local donut shops. Service staff were nice. Props to them. I appreciate them. It's an ok quick stop to scratch the itch. read more

I stopped by the Dunkin' Donuts here in Santa Maria for the first time a couple weeks ago. I've seen I've driven by it a couple times but is the first I'm stopped in since I want to get donuts. The store itself isn't very big. But there is a drive-through which makes the land that it's on seem like it's a lot bigger. I got a couple of dozen donuts and a couple of the munchkins. Overall, the donuts were fairly standard and what you would expect but the munchkins were always way better tasting imo. There's always fun seasonal flavors but I still think they all roughly taste the same flavorwise. There's a good amount of parking here in this plaza so it's a good place to stop by if you're looking for donuts. Nothing to complain about here, I feel like it's pretty much what you would expect. read more

I purchased two wicked tins with donuts and spent $22. When I went to pick up my order they said that they had run out but they refused to give me a refund and said call the phone number on the receipt. There is no phone number on the receipt and when I googled the phone number it says welcome to Dunkin' Donuts and then hangs up on me. I have submitted two emails and no one has responded. read more

The service here has been consistently pretty bad for a while. I often have to wait a ridiculous amount of time when there's only 2-3 cars in front of me. Today I waited like 20 minutes for someone in front of me to get one item, the person behind them to get nothing, and when I finally got my food they didn't give me my drink until I reminded them I ordered one. If you go here, I really don't recommend the drive thru as they really don't seem to put much effort into drive thru service. All for subpar food and drinks that are arguably the worst out of any of the coffee chains. read more

We stopped here this morning (3/7/25) because we were short on time. Huge mistake I won't make again. As bad as the food was, the experience was worse. The girl working the drive thru apparently had a disgruntled customer prior to us arriving and LOUDLY complained to everyone in the store, telling and retelling her side. She was SO LOUD that my mother who is hard of hearing couldn't even talk to the sweet girl at the register trying to take our order. This went on almost the entire time we waited for our order. Management: she was a bottle blond with long fasle eyelashes. She was distracting, loud, and terribly unprofessional. Made the entire visit unbearable. Get rid of her. There was one girl on register, one on food, and they were both quiet and hard working. The loud one did little to contribute to an efficient workflow on a busy Friday morning. Food: Coffee is thin. Ordered a $6 breakfast combo, and the browns were literally 6 little discs. The sandwich tastes like plastic that was reheated in a microwave. If I ever return, I will stick to donuts. You can get a better breakfast literally anywhere else, even a reheated breakfast sandwich at a gas station. read more

I grew up on Dunkin Donuts as a Brooklyn kid. It was like the "Starbucks" of it's day and strangely enough, this new store's layout is similar to a "modern Starbucks". Sadly, DD [like me] has neither aged well, nor seems to be doing so great on the West Coast [this is the only location within hundreds of miles]. Compared to some of the local non-chain donut shops [especially near Cal-Poly in SLO] or the Bagel shops in AG/Pismo [e.g. Broadway Bagel], DD looks mediocre at best. DD's is most similar to big chain West Coast donut varieties....so mediocre. This DD's do not seem to carry Eclairs, nor any exotic flavors/ shapes. For great local Eclairs, one needs to always go to Arroyo Grande's Village's shop called...Eclair. That is my go to place for an Eclair & a cup of Joe. I dislike most ultra-sweet deserts, but a real custard center, along with a real milk chocolate coating, is more to my liking. Back in the day, in Brooklyn, the DD's had a Diner type of stool counter seating service area which made getting refills or donuts, from a nice person in a white uniform not a problem. This place has an almost sterile atmosphere, which is even more impersonal than even other Fast Food places...but they do have outdoor seating which is nice. It is clear that they do not make the Bagels in house, since I did ask. The toppings are pathetic compared to Broadway Bagel & there is surely no NYer Cream Cheese & Lox version. While they have the essential Bavarian Cream donut here, there are shockingly only about a dozen or so varieties. Nowhere as amazing as the amazing donut shop in SLO on Foothills drive, which is open 24 hours. The worker that I talked too was quite pleasant and they did have outdoor seating. Since it is right near the Supermarket, it may please some. The Supermarket is a far better bet since they not only have a food court, but does fresh juicing [e.g. Carrot, Spinach, Beets, Ginger, etc..] at a fair price. The Supermarket is a Mecca for Hispanic [e.g. Tripe] & even some Asian goodies [e.g. Lychee]. As can be expected, DD's now does more fancy types of Coffee than it used to 1/2 Century ago! read more

If it wasn't for the friendly staff person who greeted us warmly and took care of us as best she could, this would earn one star. Seriously, folks, what's all the fuss about Dunkin' Donuts? Or have I listened to too many commercials for them on TV? Dear Hubby and I stopped by the location in Santa Maria after getting gas at nearby Costco as we had a long drive ahead of us. I was craving something akin to a donut, and hadn't really tried Dunkin', but found one on Yelp. Not good. Not good at all. The selection was extremely prosaic. They didn't have anything that I would normally order, like a chocolate old fashioned. No maple bars. Pretty much boring, heavy cake donuts with a variety of sprinkles was the order of the day. We each picked something from the limited choices, plus a supposedly fancy mocha blended drink. The latter was served neither cold or hot, but some tepid in-between temperature that tasted like it was full of chemicals and few "natural" ingredients. It was really bad, actually. Ditto, the cake donut I picked with sprinkles I literally threw in the trash when we next stopped the car. It was very heavy textured, and even the chocolate icing was lacking in appealing taste. I am not exaggerating when I say it was one of the worst donuts I've had in my long life. Gas station convenience store donuts are far superior to what Dunkin' was cooking up in Santa Maria. How is that even possible? They may have cured me of ordering donuts for a long while! Well, wait - there's Foster's in T.O., and virtually any Krispy Kreme, and the indy place in T.O. near Trader Joe's. LOL. There are great donuts out in the world! Had to try Dunkin for the first time especially if it has a drive-up. I wasn't sure what to order but the menu gave a good view of what to look for so I started with a sausage egg n cheese bagel and chose the half dozen box. I asked for an old fashioned donut but they didn't have it, so I told myself it would be safe to order on what they have on the menu, so I then asked for a plain donut but they said they didn't have that either, wow, 9am, it must be a popular donut, so I just kept ordering what was on the menu and 4 out of 6 isn't bad. Got to the drive-up and was happily greeted, was given my box and proper send off. Before I left I opened the box and no bagel, so I waited while the associates were talking away till the noticed me then came to the window looked at the monitor and said "oh your waiting for your breakfast meal" I said sure, thinking their gonna make a mistake and give me a full meal, but I got my sole bagel. Well the donuts weren't a wow moment and the bagel didn't look all that great but it didn't taste bad and again no wow moment. I'm given them a 4 star because of the drive-up. read more

I've frequented this Dunkin' Donuts on multiple mornings and around lunch time when I'm in the area and I've always had a pleasant non eventful experience. Maybe I've just gotten lucky but the drive thru line has never been too long and I feel like I get in and out quicker then the Starbucks across the street (and that's not a jab as that Starbucks is pretty quick too). They just seem to be on top of it here and I've never had any issues. The staff here are friendly when I've rolled through, nothing overly memorable but I have no complaints. My order has always been taken correctly and they don't hassle when I've asked to place multiple orders from one car. I don't have access to a lot of Dunkin Donuts in my area to know the quality of the food and drinks but I feel that my coffee has always been fresh and the donuts are pretty average overall. No complaints here and I will continue to frequent this one when I'm in the area. read more

Just ordered a blended cappuccino and it was completely disappointing! What I wanted was something like a Starbucks frappe...What I got was a chunky ice liquidy unblended drink! Every time I have passed through here, I encountered helpful, friendly service. And of course very tasty doughnuts. Like the custard and lemon filled ones. Oh my. The coffee is really good. Why? For me, it's not just the roast; it's the half-gallon bottle they pour their "Light Cream" from. I asked for Half and Half. They said that they didn't have any! They said that had "Light Cream"!! Light? I asked to see the actual bottle; they acquiesced. The word "Light" is deceiving because it's actually 18% cream. Half and Half is usually only 10% cream so no wonder!!! This location is clean and friendly. I love coming here as a treat. You should try it out too. read more

It's really hit or miss with this location. Drive thru 1 experience : my coffee was great but they forgot my other drinks. Thank goodness I remembered before I left because I would have been upset having to come back. Drive thru 2 experience : got an extra large coffee and asked if they had heavy cream. Was told no. Ok, can I have 7 cream and 3 sweet and lows. She said no! She said she already put 5 creams and 5 sugars because that's the way it comes... ok... but I don't want sugar lady... I want sweet and low. She was very confused. Drive thru experience 3: ordered an extra large coffee and it was perfect. The inside is always clean and well stocked. I think they are trying but when you have a customer repeatedly get upset over things that could be easily fixed with management paying more attention to the customers happiness, but not... things aren't going well. read more

Santa Maria has its share of donut shops that are non-chain, at least 7 - 8 without counting Starbucks, 7-eleven and supermarkets with bakeries. Dunkin Donuts can be considered average when compared to them. I have visited Dunkin Donuts in Los Angeles, CA; Puerto Rico, USA; and San Antonio, TX. Considering the experience that I have had with the brand, Santa Maria has room for improvement. Clean locale, friendly staff, free WiFi and several spots for indoor and outdoor seating. Two bathrooms available. - update next day Monday morning - Drive thru almost empty at 6:49 am. Fast service inside. Some of the staff seemed unusually stressed but product was stocked and in order. My rating might go up to a 3.5 because of product quality, speed of service and cleanliness of venue.All other points above still remain. read more

Let me start by saying I love your coffee better then Starbucks and it's so convenient as it is right next door to my house. However, you DO NOT have enough staff working in the mornings and the ones that are there have absolutely no customer service skills and are extremely slow. I use the mobile app alot of the time and when I use it I get there 15-20 min later and it's still not ready. When I do use the drive thru and there's a couple cars only I still am in that line for 15-20 min. I guess that's the difference between Starbucks and Dunkin, they are so energetic and fast and you guys are not. Half of the time they are out of new items like right away and I pay for it on the app and no one tries to make it right with me when I get there. It's a bummer. I just want to say again I love your coffee and food items I just wish the system was better and the customer service. read more

Save yourself the frustration and avoid this place. I just waited 23 minutes in their drive through, with only 3 cars in front of me. This wouldn't have been the end of the world but my order was a disaster. They didn't toast the sourdough on my sandwich and there were only 2 small pieces of bacon versus the 5 that is advertised. I usually try to go to a location more than once before I leave a review. We ordered a box of blueberry iced munchkins, a caramel macchiato, a strawberry iced donut, a bagel with strawberry cream cheese and a Boston cream via drive-thru. When we get to the window we paid for these items only to have the cashier tell us they can only give us plain munchkins, they are out of strawberry cream cheese for the bagel and have no Boston Cream. Why let us order and PAY for what you ran out of? It may be worth giving these people a few weeks before visiting this store. Update* it was not cream cheese! I just went to this DD and let me tell you what a crappy experience it was. The wait was 30 minutes in the drive thru with 6 cars in front of me. Once I got up to the window I was greeted by the mist unpleasant person. She said not one word to me throughout the entire transaction. My hello was met by silence. My thank you was met by silence. I had asked for pup cups when ordering but had to ask again, again met by silence. It was like I was dealing with a mute person. I don't know if it's cause she's pregnant and hormonal, I think she's pregnant...her tummy was big...but I will never come back. I only came because Starbucks line was so long.
