I love these donuts!!! Everything is delicious - homemade - and so fresh. One of my favorites is…read morethe marble twist dipped in the honey glaze?! Yes please!!! Also their blueberry scones are the best I have ever had. The breakfast sandwiches are great - but I usually ask for little or no butter on them. I find they add a bit too much for my liking. Can't go wrong with an onion bagel and cream cheese! The staff are the sweetest and always helpful, and they have a really nice seating area inside.

Let me tell you about Chloe, the wonderful woman standing behind the counter. Chloe greeted me warmly and genuinely asked how I was doing. I came in on a Sunday morning for a coffee and to get some work done. I ordered a hot decaf hazelnut coffee. Which Chloe politely informed wouldn't be possible because the brewed decaf hazelnut was ICED, not hot. And the hot decaf coffee had no flavor - no hazelnut. and As soon as Chloe saw me trying which option to choose, she came up with a solution. She gave me half iced hazelnut, and half hot regular decaf. THE PERFECT SOLUTION! She went above and beyond, and did it without thinking twice. Chloe and Leah smiled at everyone who came in that morning, and deserve recognition for how amazing they both are. Keep up the good work, CKD!

Country Kitchen Donuts - Eggs were rubbery but besides that sandwich was delicious. Sandwiches do take a little time to make.

I was not nasty about it either time (I mean, stuff happens), and the first time I waited while they made my order....the second time I just asked for my money back and you would think I insulted the Karen working their like I had disparaged her entire family. It was actually so weird to me it was funny, and the woman next to me joked that she would walk me to my car if I was worried angry woman would follow me. I mean, talk about DEATH STARE. LOL If they do mess up, I promise you, you will get no apology at all, just snippy people returning your money and acting like it was all your fault. It was bizarre....and it happened both times I visited. I get that the owner thinks his choices of products and ingredients is so superior ( if you read through the comments on this place, he has chimed in several times on bad reviews with a hilarious sales pitch, which does little to change anyone's mind when they don't like the food or service, but I'm sure it makes him feel better---turn lemons into lemon aid, am I right ? Ha ha ha ) Anyhow, I did manage to get the overpriced chicken salad tub that they sell the first time I went (I picked it up myself from the cooler, so they couldn't forget to get it for me, LOL) and I have to tell you...the amount of tarragon in it would curl your hair. They aren't into subtlety, are these people? Totally inedible. Don't bother. There is a Brother's Market up the street that has great lunch and breakfast options.

However, throw in some hot sauce and hot honey and that changes the game up. Portions were generous so I was pretty stuffed. Solid lunch choice.

The shop is set in a funky old New England mill space that perfectly matches what they do: warm, a little rustic, and full of charm. It feels authentic right away, like everything coming out of the kitchen is made with care and intention. The pies are the main event, and they absolutely deliver. I went in specifically for a large blueberry pie to serve at our Easter brunch, and I'm absolutely confident it won't disappoint. Of course, I couldn't stop there--I also picked up a few of the personal 5" pies to stash in the freezer, which feels like a very smart decision for future dessert emergencies The ready-to-eat baked goods are just as worth your attention, but you have to time it right--they sell out fast. I managed to grab a lemon raspberry scone for the drive home, and I think it's my favorite scone now. Perfectly balanced, not too sweet, and exactly what you want from a great scone. Between the quality, the setting, and the variety, this is the kind of place that works just as well for a holiday centerpiece as it does for a spontaneous stop. I'm glad it's not closer to home though--it would be very hard to achieve my desired weight goals it if were. Just be sure to go early if you want the best selection of ready to eat goods.

Outstanding pies in all flavors! Our go to for many years for the holidays and parties.read more

This place happened to be exactly in the middle between where my friend and I live, so we decided to meet here for lunch. The street corn flatbread was tasty and cheesy, and my friend's fried chicken sandwich was also good. Service was friendly if a bit slow. After lunch, we went apple picking which was I think $34 for a peck which is pretty standard nowadays. They had macoun, macintosh, cortland, and some other varieties, but I prefer my macs. The apple orchard is very small compared to other places I've been, but served its purpose. Would have been nice to have a couple ladders in the orchard for easier access to apples on top. Would have also been nice if the bathrooms were not portapotties--my friend and I chose to hold it lol. They also have a pen with chickens, ducks, and goats that look fairly happy and well cared for. We came on a weekday so it was not crowded at all, but I would imagine it gets packed on weekends.
