He took us on a guided tour of his facility. We got to see the hams in the process of curing and the storage rooms. Also got to see the staff processing bacon and packaging it. We picked up a country ham, several packs of bacon, smoked sausage and some smoked cheddar cheese. We just loved the place and the hospitality! Very nice, clean facility!

The bakery display is filled with handmade cookies -- I wisely got the Texas Sheet Cake cookies and lemon cookies, and a couple of nearly-all-sold-out chocolate chip cookies. Oh! The Texas Sheet Cake cookies are divine!!!! I just -- oh, I ate one in the car on the way home (a ten-minute trip), and by the time I got home, I wanted another one immediately. But my rotten husband ate it! Right there in front of me! Alas, I will have to wait until next weekend to get more. And that's the thing: I will be back for more. The lemon cookies are fabulous, too. The chocolate chip cookies are exactly what one expects in a quality Toll House recipe, but ... well, really, that's a fairly common cookie. Less common are the Texas Sheet Cake and lemon varieties. (People who have lived in East Tennessee for 6 decades will immediately ask if the lemon cookies can compare to Ham'n'Goody's lemon cookies, and the answer is yes. YES. These lemon cookies stand up to those lemon cookies of lore. They are just as good, and you don't have to drive all the way to Knoxville!) I sadly didn't have time to take pictures of the cookies before they were devoured, but they came in an adorable box (yay, no plastic!). Highly recommend! Totally affordable! Excellent sandwiches and cookies! Next week, I'll get the soup, whatever it is. Oh, I hope they have those Texas Sheet Cake cookies all the time!

After that I don't know what happened. After completing my meal 20-minutes later and no food for her we got up and said just to cancel the order. No one seem to care at all. Jen was our waitress and even try to charge us extra for food we didn't receive. The cook was acting silly and didn't seem to care about his job. Apparently, manager was there and wasn't involved in overseeing the place. We have no plans of going back. Disappointed and was hoping to options for future dining.
