The brown butter biscoff is my personal favorite, but my office goes nuts for all the flavors (including lemon raspberry, crumb cake, dark chocolate sea salt, and ganache) when I bring a box into work to share. I also love sitting in the shop itself as it's beautiful inside, and they have a little kids section with a play donut shop that can entertain my 2 year old son for a half hour (which is not an easy feat). On top of it all, they have gluten free doughnuts that are truly delicious! My husband typically cannot enjoy doughnuts, so it's a real treat for him to get to enjoy them here. The donut was not good, but more importantly the woman behind the counter had three small children and she was allowing them to help make my food. A child of maybe five in gloves put the sprinkles on my donut while openly coughing. I understand she's a mom, I'm one as well--which is why I would never in my wildest dreams let my six year old help make food I sold to a customer. It was after I paid that this happened and it was so weird, I had no idea what to do. I uncomfortably took a bite and drank half my drink and ended up trashing them wishing I had said something. There were so many options it was very hard to choose what to get. These donuts were special, in that they are brioche and very large and fluffy. We got an apple pie and strawberry cheesecake donut. We definitely didn't need two, but "when in Delaware" I guess? Haha! I tried the glazed donut and the Biscoff donut. The glazed donut was unbelievably soft and fresh-everything you want in a classic donut. It practically melted in my mouth. It somehow managed to be light and airy while still having that perfect chewy bite. If you think a plain glazed donut can't be memorable, this one will change your mind!!!! I will never forget this first bite. The Biscoff cookie donut was just as incredible. It was generously filled with a fluffy, marshmallow-like cream that wasn't overly sweet, so the rich Biscoff flavor really shined. Every bite tasted fresh and indulgent without being heavy. It's also a seasonal flavor so it may not be there every time you go! My friend ordered the lemon donut. It was a little too tart for my personal taste, but she absolutely loved it and finished every bite. They also have an incredible variety of flavors, so there's truly something for everyone. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and they also sell coffee and other drinks, making it an easy stop for breakfast or a sweet treat. The space was pretty big. It was nothing fancy.
