Today i deviated from my normal stop at Starbucks to try the shaken brown sugar espresso at Dunkin . I went through the drive thru at 17579 Halsted St Homewood, IL 60430 my drink was WAY to sweet so i circled back around and requested that it be remade w LESS sugar because i can not handle the amount of sugar that was in my drink . The manager /owner told me that I would need to repay for the drink because it was too expensive for her to remake the drink. I was very surprised by that response I said a customer isn't happy with the drink that i just order and your saying you can not modify it for me as a paying customer she stated that was correct she would not make it without me repaying because it was to expensive for the store to take on the cost. TLDR: don't bother. Gross coffee. Rude employees. I would never recommend this location. Drive to another coffee shop. I'm usually a Dunkin fan, but this location has left a bad taste in my mouth (and I don't mean the old, watered down coffee). Submitted an order online. Went to the counter. No order ready. So I waited there. And waited there. After about 10 minutes, an employee asked if I needed something and I told her I was waiting for an online order. Checked my phone to make sure something hadn't happened with the order submission, and it looked like it hadn't submitted so I hit it again. Another 10 minutes later, I received order #1. The owner told me I had submitted twice. I told him that I hadn't heard anything about my order, to which he berated me saying "well, we didn't know what you wanted since you were standing there." Ummmm, I was standing. By the pickup. For my pickup order. Where the he11 else would I stand? Am I supposed to enter and yell "HI!!! I AM HERE FOR MY PICKUP ORDER! EVERYONE START WORKING!" Don't worry though, they had time to make drinks for their kids who were playing back where they were prepping food. That's a whole other (sanitation) issue. read more

I wasn't planning on writing a review but looking at the previous reviews, I think they deserve a better rating than that. I don't know about previous service but I've been coming to this dunkin for more than 4 months now. They kept me coming back and was so impressed at the level of service, consistency and quick turnaround times that I wanted to give a shout out to the morning crew at this location. They're a well oiled machine and on top of their game which says allot considering most of the employees I've come across at any chain establishment tend to dislike their work and due to their poor choices they have made in their lives they tend to take it out on those that they are serving. I must pass at least half a dozen other dunkins during my morning work commute but none of those can match the speed and friendliness like this one. Sometimes the drive through line is big, but don't be alarmed, it goes quick. So for those ladies behind the curtain making my morning that much better, kudos to you and keep up the great job you do! read more

Update 1/2/13: I no longer approve of this location. Why, you ask? Because for the past 6 months I've been told their gift card machine is "offline". This is an inconvenience as I have to stop at a different location (closer to my home) which is always extremely busy in the morning! Went to use my rewards on the mobile app. Scanned for my free coffee then moved to my barcode for the rest of the meal and the employee says "Oh no" then puts in the whole $10+ amount again in the computer and screws me out of my free coffee. Impolite service, uneducated employees, and inefficiently managed. Used to go here all the time because of the convenience, service/quality was always sub-par. Today it was too much, and will not go here again. Drive-thru service is impolite and unfriendly. Inside, staff doesn't seem educated on the full menu (ex. Toasted Almond flavor, "turbo-shot" of espresso). It's not good if I have to explain to YOU your items. Manager left me waiting at the counter after taking my order to do another task. Owners are the cheapest at this location. They don't care about the quality of their products.. they only care about making a sale. This is the 3rd time I've payed for a watered down, flavorless beverage. My last strike was yesterday when I received the nastiest hot chocolate I've ever tasted. I went to this location this morning to get a cup of hot chocolate and what I heard made me really think that the manager had no real sense of professionalism and class.This guy was yelling and carrying on and had no idea that his headset that he used to take orders was on and actually amplifying the entire rant out for not only myself, but other people in and outside the shop could hear as well. It's hard for me to find fault in any Dunkin' Donuts. Honest. I very rarely place orders inside, as I am a drive thru girl. What I do like about this location is that it's convenient... right off the expressway and situated in the heart of a popular shopping area. I don't like that they charge you for certain extra items. Yikes some pretty bad reviews! Well i was here end of June, and as a California girl, i love dunkin donuts when i am further east! Came to this location since it was close to the house i was renting for the week, and i have zero complaints. The girl at the register was super friendly, the place looked clean and everything was fresh! We bought a dozen donuts including the World Cup special, some donut holes, an oatmeal, a box of joe and a couple of iced coffees. All delicious! Sure they forgot my oatmeal when we left but we went back inside for it. Aside from that it was peachy keen and i miss that coffee already!! read more

In April I went through the drive thru to place my order. I was greeted at the speaker by a pleasant female whom asked for my order; I asked her to give me one moment as I was trying to get decide what myself and what my 13yo niece wanted. I wasn't delayed more than a min when a completely rude and ignorant woman came over the speaker stating "come on now this is a drive thru, if you don't know your order come inside" I stated excuse me? At which time she repeated " this is a drive thru" I stated ok, but no one is behind me so what's the difference. Sorry California girl but I agree with the other reviewer's. We stopped in for a quick coffee and a muffin on the way to see somebody at the hospital nearby. They attempted to refuse service based on my wife seeing eye dog. When I explained repeatedly that it was a service animal and still listens to leave but finally relented when I mentioned there is a fine for their action.they were happy to see us leave. Absolute worst Dunkin I've ever visited. Man working drive thru window was in a hurry. I blew horn to get his attention again so I could get napkins. My daughter wanted ketchup. A rude employee says very loudly "if she wanted ketchup she should have asked for it." I let her know I could hear her and she said "I wasn't talking to you I was talking to my coworker." The donuts was really good/tasty and filling many years ago when they acutely made the donuts fresh in the store and not deliverd like they are now. I literally ONLY go to this location because it's the only one near work. This place is HORRIBLE! It's always been bad, but they have what appears to be a new manager and it has only gotten worse. The orders are NEVER correct and when they are remade they are remade poorly. I went in today and ordered one donut, was charged for two, I ordered two wake up wraps, was charged for two croissant sandwiches, and I ordered one breakfast sandwich on an English muffin, and received a croissant. When I addressed all of these issues, the manager just stared at me like a deer in the headlights and then corrected it, however I was still over charged for one of the sandwiches but chose to just ignore that because I had had it. I was the ONLY person in the drive thru or in the store and they still couldn't handle it. And when I got back my coffee was bland and just didn't taste right. I really need to find a new location because this place is a waste of my time and money. It's a joke. read more

I am very displeased with this place. Every time I get a grilled cheese sandwich the bread must be stale because it crumbles. Another day I ordered another sandwich. I wish I could give this location zero stars but the system made me give it a least one star, usually I don't come here but in extreme emergency I do and today reminds me why I don't....they always disappointment, either they get the flavor or the coffee wrong or forget the flavor completely, or give me the cheddar twist bagel with a slice of burnt American cheese on it (the other DD don't do this) or in today's case gave me my coffee and not my bagel.
