They are absolutely cutting cost by offering a smaller donut size. See photos for size. They are even using Valentine's Day as their scapegoat for making smaller, heart-shaped donuts instead of full, rounded donuts. So while we have to pay more due to inflation, we are getting less donut for our dollar. Service: 3 stars - while ordering through the drive thru, there wasn't even a list of donut flavors to choose from. So the person taking my order had to name off the donut flavors for me to pick. Sure, the DD regular might know exactly what flavors they want in a box of dozen, but I'm a special occasion type of dozen donut buyer, so I need my flavor options. While waiting for my drink the manager yelled out across the store saying something about not having cold brew but didn't even finish her sentence before putting her hand up to me and walking away to take a drive thru order. That was fine -- I went back to my car and waited the full 20 minutes before coming back inside. When I returned, the two employees who originally helped me told me they hadn't even started my order yet. What made it worse was the attitude. There was no apology, no acknowledgment of the inconvenience -- just "Yeah, we can't make it yet. We're just too busy." After already waiting 20 minutes. I then had to wait another 20 minutes. It wasn't until the manager came in that anything actually happened. I explained that I had already been waiting over 20 minutes, and once she stepped in, my order was made in less than 10 minutes. That shows the issue wasn't time -- it was effort and accountability. Unfortunately, this isn't the first bad experience I've had at this location. Came here for "breakfast" at noon lol. Great commute, not very busy. I had gotten a Boston cream donut, which was in the shape of a star for July 4th. Very cute idea, I love it. I had also gotten a Mint Chocolate Chip Signature Latte, which is a new item on the menu. They perfectly balanced the mint and chocolate, not too sweet, not too minty. It was incredible. While it wasn't very busy at all, just myself, my wife, and another male, the floor did need to sweeped badly, not very catching to the eye, but literally everything else is splendid at this location. My wife standing in line waiting to speak to someone to order more, waiting for 15-ish minutes is crazy. Especially since its not busy at all besides for the drive thru. More people need to be hired or something, because the wait is ridiculous, but very good coffee and breakfast items overall. I recently moved to the Goodyear area and was excited that there was a Dunkin close to me, considering that the next closest is in Avondale. I've been trying to give this location benefit of the doubt because of COVID and with them being short staffed. However, each visit has been declining in terms of service and quality. They're almost always out of chocolate croissants or hash browns, no matter what day or time I go, which is disappointing. Sometimes I have to ask for something else to substitute the item or else the staff won't give me anything or any reimbursement. But I get it, if you're busy you tend to run out of things quickly. But this is constant. They either are not getting shipments or they're super busy. Either way, it's been very disappointing to say the least. Their quality has also been disappointing as of late. The food is either cold, severely greasy, or OK. But I have yet to get a decent food item. Once again, I'm trying to give benefit of the doubt because of COVID, but why am I paying for food that I'm not going to enjoy? The coffees are very hit or miss and taste different every time. They're either too watered down, too much ice, not enough flavor, no flavor at all, or is made wrong. Most of the time I won't know it's not a good drink until i drive away. Lastly, the drive thru takes forever! The line barely moves! Once again, I try to be patient because they're most likely short staffed. But the other day I came through the drive thru and I waited in total for at least 40 mins! I have never had to wait that long in a Dunkin drive thru. Their drive thru is always backed up and takes forever to get through unless you come very late in the day.
