It's been a month since I've visited here and I find myself still talking about these. Most donuts…read morehere are slightly larger than my fist (my glove size is M) and only cost $1.95. The ones I tried were the yeast type of donut and had a terrific consistency being soft and not too dense. Also tried an apple fritter that was almost twice as large as the donuts. The highlight were the croissant donuts. They were layers of buttery, flaky dough in a square format. I've tried the ones from Dominic Ansel when the cronut was at its peak and I prefer the Freddy version. I found the ones with the drizzle on them to be better. If you can't commit to a whole cronut you can get cronut bites for 25 cents each!

Move over Dominique Ansel, Freddy Donuts got you beat at the cronut game. Being from New York the…read morecronut is a staple- Freddy's got them beat in every way- the cronut itself is super light and crisp. The flakey buttery layers is heaven. The size of the cronut is huge compared to the Dominique Ansel one. Freddy's is the size of your hand where the other is a quarter size smaller. The cronut at Freddy's is also cheaper going at $4.25 versus $7.75 at Dominique Ansel. They come in glaze drizzle, chocolate and vanilla drizzle, maple drizzle and French toast. Cronuts not available or don't feel like a big cronut...ask if they have the cronut bites. They come in a set of three and you can get either glaze drizzle or cinnamon sugar. The size of their classic and specialty donuts are huge. We are talking easily can be sharable (if you want to). Currently the pricing of their donuts are: $1.95 house/ $2.75 specialty/$2.75 cake/ $3.25 monster filled. They have quite the creative list of flavors. No gluten free options though. Their donuts are light and flavorful. It's not overly sweet at all and well balanced. By their size you get your bang for your buck. If you want to get your choosing of flavors, it's better to go at the start of the day. Later in the day you chance that they could be sold out on flavors - especially if they are busy that day. The donuts are packed in whimsical boxes that are colorful and say "You Deserve A Donut." They also have drinks for purchase but we didn't grab any- maybe next time. On the wall they also have cute donut themed shirts with popular cartoons and characters like Bluey, Pikachu and Deadpool. There is limited parking around the shop. Otherwise plenty of street parking. We took our donuts to go but you can also dine there in front of the store where they have picnic tables. The building looks like it might have been a service gas station in the past. It's decorated with a snake mural and they also have neat drawings inside on their chalkboard menu. We will definitely be back since we have friends that live in the next town over who are also huge fan. 100% recommend this sweet place.

This is the brother business of downtown's Mason Dixon and it will NOT disappoint you!!…read more We ordered a plethora of burgers and fries with our group while I was expecting the DELICIOUS shakes to be the main event it actually went to the sweet potato fries!! Holy YUMMMM!!! The service was a bunch of teenagers or college students working their summer job but still incredibly nice, helpful, and eager to please. It was pretty hot outside so we opted to sit inside - the tables were a bit cramped but I loved the old school, chill vibe in there. I can't wait for fall so we can sit outside and enjoy a cold shake and burgers. We will most definitely be returning!

Service was quick and easy to order and not long to get food after placing order. My classic was cooked perfectly and loved the pickled red onions. Got an order of mozzarella sticks and wow they had the perfect cheese pull. My husband got the BBB and waffle fries - again cooked right and flavorful. We saw a few people getting milkshakes and wanted one but after eating had no room, so will make a trip one day just to get shakes! Our experience was good... give it a try.

What a wonderful meadery!…read more With lots of great food, mead, and mixed drinks, this was the highlight of my trip through Fredericksburg! Highly recommend trying a flight, which is surprisingly filling. For their mead flavors, I really enjoyed #21, Apple/Cinnamon, which is also the house favorite. #19 Mango 5 was a close second followed by #14 Pineapple. Overall, all of them are really delicious, and would recommend the Pina Colada slushy. One can also buy bottles to take back home! For mixed drinks, recommend the Gold Mine. For food, the sweet potato fries with apple butter dip is delicious, along with the honey ham sliders. If you're here for an afternoon, check out the charcuterie board! Our server Robert was fantastic, providing great advice for what to drink. There is a nice outdoor patio, that can get busy over the weekends! It's usually not too busy with self-seating and chalk for fun designs. Be prepared for changing seasonal flavors.

We came in around 12:30 and there was no one else there besides us. The young lady working the bar was really kind and attentive. This was my very first time trying Mead. Overall, I enjoyed it. It was definitely a different kind of taste. They also have a great menu full of food, snacks, and brunch. Will definitely have to go back.
