This was my first ever visit in this establishment which this one was located on a corner lot in Central Park next to Rey's Azteca and Lowe's. They offer interior and exterior seatings. The interior is very clean, has variety of waffle cones, signature bundles, all ice creams are made in house, you can sample the flavors before ordering ànd I had great service from Justin. I order the apple pie which was mix and combine with other components. For me the flavor was there but it was on the sweeter side. I don't know if I had order it with one of the waffle cones, if it would have balanced it out. But it was nice to see Justin incorporate all of the ingredients together on a cold plate. We opted out of another ice cream place that was closer because of Covid related reviews (not adhering). Short and sweet is we're happy we went. Upon entry we were yelled at to form a line going to the left beginning by the cake refrigerator then the guy working toppings told us to move back up to the right and go to the front. Then my BFFs husband who is a Marine Veteran holding the leash of his service dog came in and was yelled at by the manager to line up behind us not know he was just looking at menu as was I because I had never.have been to Colds tone. It was disgusting behavior by the employees and when he asked for the manager....some little girl yells "I am the manager!".... With my sons upcoming birthday, I called a week prior to find out how much notice they require to make a cake. I was told 24 hours. My son, daughter and I go to cold stone this past Sunday to place his cake order for Thursday and I was told since he picked out one of their specialty cakes, they are kept on hand and we didn't need to order. Here today is Thursday, my husband and I go to pick up the cake. I ask the guy to write Happy Birthday on it. The same guy who would not take my cake order since it was a specialty cake says, you have to order this in the morning as cake decorating is done in the morning! After I explain what he advised me this past Sunday, he then proceeds to tell us he did not say that and walks over to the owner. Owner tells him no, he won't write Happy Birthday and my sons name on the cake, but can give us a happy birthday sticker. I am very happy I did not bring my son with us as this would have ruined his day. When I told them it says 11pm online they laughed and said no they are closed and would not serve us. I know this is a chain, but I never went to a Cold Stone Creamery before. Tonight was my first experience. I was pretty pleased. The service was very impressive here. Both of the servers were very friendly and offered me samples of any flavor I wanted to try. They told me about their punch card program and offered to field any questions I might have. I opted for the "Hunka Chunka Burnin' Fudge Sundae". This had chocolate ice cream, brownies, almonds, whipped cream, and fudge. This was just delicious, and the flavors all worked together. And I found the ice cream to be very smooth. I was also surprised that the sundae survived the drive home without melting. I've been going to Cold Stone here in Fredericksburg since they first opened. I have never had a bad experience here and continue to get the same flavor everytime, Peanut Butter Perfection, my fav. The only thing to complain about is sometimes the long lines you have to wait in, which is usually during Summer and because it's hot out. Other than that the ice cream combinations are great, friendly staff, and a clean area to enjoy your ice cream in. One of the best. read more

I ordered a cake online on 12/13/19, and scheduled the pickup for 3 days later (today, 12/16/19). I figured by ordering online especially, they would spell the name correctly, as it was spelled out in print (vs ordering on the phone where they could say they heard me wrong or something). Not a difficult name: BEENA Just 5 letters. So I go to pick it up, and the girl went to put it in a bag- I stopped her and asked to check the cake first. They spelled the name wrong. Obviously they don't even check their work. Even with it spelled out and printed as I ordered it online. They even added/changed a couple letters. They wrote: BRENNA instead of BEENA. Come on! It's not that hard! The girl said she could scrape it off, but of course that would have looked horrible. I asked for at least a discount. She called the manager, on the phone for at least 10 minutes, to come back and say they could give me 20% off. Really? After it's their fault they messed up and I couldn't use the cake at all with the wrong name on it nor with her scraping it off as it would look terrible, which she agreed. So I explained that 20% off was nothing for a cake I would be embarrassed to show anyone. She spent another 10 minutes on the phone with the manager, who apparently said the owner would be there in 1 minute and would give another discount. So I waited again. Owner did not show up. The girl called the manager again who said they would only give me 20% off (basically a measly $6). For something that was THEIR mistake, THEY visibly screwed up, they could have done more. Extremely disappointed, as I drove 40 minutes to pick up this cake and this is the service I got, knowing that I had no time to order another cake (which is why I ordered 3 days in advance to begin with). The girl behind the counter was nice and seemed like she felt bad. But very poor service by whomever that manager/ owner is. My son & I visited this location a few days ago (July 3, 2019) & like other reviewers have stated, the service was awful. A store full of teenage kids sitting around on their phones. I understand the idea of providing children with summer jobs but at least ensure that those hired are mature enough to handle the tasks at hand or risk your establishment loosing business. One kid Jordan was clearly auditioning for the biggest jerk award. I am HIGHLY DISAPPOINTED this evening with this location. The WHOLE SHIFT that worked tonight, July, 21, 2018 at 9:27p.m was just HORRIBLE. Let's start off with they were not very friendly and did not greet the customers as we all walked through the door on this rainy evening. Anywho, I was soooooo looking forward to Cold Stone since I haven't had ice cream in awhile. So, I ordered my ice cream (to go, remind you) and a waffle bowl on the side. I went to pay for my ice cream (which actually looked like a like it instead of a Love it) and I even (by the way this location doesn't sing) tipped. The team member completed my order and the cashier passed me my order. I looked at what he was giving me and I told him, "Oh, that's not mine, because I ordered mine to go". He said that this order was mine. I was puzzled because the girl that completed my order put the ice cream inside the waffle bowl, put the lid over the ice cream and wrapped the ice cream and waffle bowl with Saran Wrap. Now, I'm scratching my head because no one can lack that much common sense. I said no, I need that to go inside another cup with a lid. Wait this gets better. The cashier SCOOPED the ice cream out of the waffle bowl into a cup and put a lid over it (which was what I originally ASKED FOR), however, he proceeded to wrap the used waffle bowl in Saran Wrap. I said, I'm not eating this ice cream tonight and tomorrow that waffle bowl will not be good because it will be soggy due to the ice cream that was it in making it wet. He said well you have to pay for another waffle bowl. I'm like WHAT! I have to pay for something that was essentially YOUR FAULT?!?!? He said yes. I was BEYOND vexed! I asked for the manager and he said that she was not in. The fact that there was no manager on duty, not even an assistant store manager is pause for concern in itself. I left my number with the cashier but I doubt if they give it to the manager. In lieu of making a scene and being that irate customer, I PAID for ANOTHER waffle bowl and left. I will NOT BE BACK!!!!! I ordered a cake for my son yesterday 11/11/2021 to be ready for 11/12/2021. The system said it would be ready at 12pm on Friday the 12th today. I sent my nephew to pick up the cake as I did not have my vehicle. When he got there they told my nephew that the cake was not ready. Then they called him to let him know that the cake was picked up yesterday. I called the store and spoke with the manager Mallory she said that the cake was picked up that I would have to buy another cake. I told her I would pay for another cake either they give me my cake or refund my money. I was upset at this point because they eluded like I was trying to steal a cake. She said they do not ask for id because people send others to pick up orders. I told her they needed to change their policy then. We left the conversation at she will call the owner and get back to me which has not happened yet. I had the owners number from before as I had an incident before and he had texted me in reference to that. So I called him his number is: (919)633-2243. He basically said I was trying to steal a cake. He said I gave someone my order to pick up and now I am trying to get another cake. I called corporate and someone is supposed to call me back. This is the perfect treat. More expensive than Dairy Queen blizzards. You can pick what flavor ice cream, first topping is free, then you pay for each additional topping. Or you can pick one of their signature recipes that are already chosen. My two complaints are that when they are busy, there isn't a laid out plan. While your ice cream is being made, another person that works there will start making someone else's, and you're not sure where to stand or go. Usually I order a Like It(small) and then 9 times out of 10 they'll ask me while they're making it "that was a Love It(medium) right?" And I've always been curious if they forgot or they're just hoping I'll say yes so they can charge more lol. read more

I honestly have no idea what any of these other reviews are talking about. I visited Coldstone today (8/13/19), and the service was absolutely phenomenal. Outstanding workers (Anna, Madison, Heaven, Jordan) were quick and delighted to help us as soon as we approached the doors. They greeted us, asked us about our day, and sent us home with a smile on our face and tasty icecream in our hands. I simply have never experienced such amazing customer service at any other icecream shop. The workers clearly love their job and have superb customer service skills. At one point, my 12 year old daughter almost dropped her icecream, but Jordan swiftly and gracefully caught it before it hit the ground. Visiting Coldstone today absolutely made my entire week. I'm not sure what Coldstone these other reviewers visited, but the one at 9907 Southpoint Pkwy is the only one my family and I will purchase our icecream from, from this day on! Store employee emptied my gift card and manager was extremely rude and did not resolve problem. I used a $15 gift card here for about $5 worth of ice cream (my wife and I shared one bowl). When I went back to use the card again they said it was all used up. After some research with the store and corporate, they said there was a $15 purchase used for three bowls and there was nothing they would do. I tried talking to the manager of the store to explain but he became angry almost immediately and treated me like the bad guy. He didn't seem to care that an employee was ripping off customers and just continued to be rude to me. This was the worst display of customer service I've ever seen. Even if he didn't refund me, I would have been satisfied with a sincere apology, but to be treated poorly the way he did to me was unacceptable. I always get strawberry ice cream. I would try everything else but i cant yet bring myself to it. Anywho, i asked for a "love it" strawberry ice cream in a waffle cone, a gentlemen helped me and scooped some but i noticed he placed a sort of like a "wave" in my cone. Like i could see through the wave, like there was no fullness in my cone! I asked for a "love it." It should be a good filling of ice cream in the cone!
