This is a very busy Dunkin'. It's also pretty small. There wasn't a huge amount of seating inside, and it was all occupied. Very small parking lot and a drive-thru that had a long line. But my drink was ready when I arrived, which is always nice. 3 stars for this large chain. I default chains to 3 stars as they must be A-OK to expand as they have. read more

Where to begin?..... 1) Professionalism is lacking 2) Respect is lacking 3) Customer service is lacking When I come into a coffee shop to relax and get work done; but instead I'm waiting 20 minutes for food when it's not busy. Dirty facilities and inappropriate conversations from workers it's not ok. Mind you I'm going to give restaurants like this some grace because let's be real most customers after Covid come in and expect the world to be given to them. Me I just want quality customer service. The most disgusting DD I've ever been in- I prefer DD to Starbucks but this place was the worst- there were 3 servers behind the counter (working their tails off! Trying their best but no manager to be found!) on a busy Friday afternoon, the bathroom was filthy (no TP, urine all over, hand dryer broken), there were hardly any donuts, no napkins, the lobby had one dirty table and my feet stuck to the floor as I walked. I went here this morning and I thought the service was good. Everyone was very friendly and they filled my order in a timely manner. I had planned to eat my order on the inside but I was very unhappy seeing that the tables and pick up counter all had many many coffee stains on them and the floor (both in the dining area and in the food prep area) was a mess. So needless to say I went and ate in my car instead. What I really do not understand is how it's so difficult to have someone sweep up once in a while and wipe off the tables and pick up counter, especially when there's at least 5 or 6 employees behind the counter. Wiping off the counters and sweeping up takes at most 5 minutes at any one time. read more

Sorry, but the new drive thru design is just downright stupid. What rocket scientist designed it anyway? The "Order Here" kiosk was placed way too close to the street so even just 2 cars blocks traffic in the parking lot; 3-4 cars blocks traffic on Madison Ave. It was better the way it was before the remodel. Also, please train your employees with some basic customer service skills other than just handing the bag out the window with a blank stare while carrying on a lengthy personal conversation with the other worker. Wait time was very long (over 15 minutes) with only 2 cars ahead of me, both just ordering a cup of hot coffee and a donut. read more

I have been getting items from this DD for years. The quality of the food has declined significantly. Muffins are over baked, bagels are either burnt or not toasted at all. They use to be the best. People need to realize that people pay for quality food and service. Employees need to start taking pride in what they do and make sure it's right. When ordering through Doordash mistakes in the orders have been getting more and more each time. And it's not the delivery person's fault. read more

Gave one star because zero stars is not an option given! This used to be my FAVORITE Dunkin' Donuts, but now it's the WORST! This establishment has been taking advantage of the COVID problem and didn't even provide "eat-in" service only until recently, but they lock the doors as early as they feel like, and then offer a host of nonsensical reasons for doing so! (Even though it's really because they make more $ via the Drive-Thru and don't have to clean the tables and floors every night!) Their HOT coffee is almost always COLD and they make so many mistakes with orders that whenever I pull out without checking the food, I have to waste time and gas returning to the place! i don't know where they got some of those employees, but what I DO KNOW is that this place needs to clean house STAT!!! In the meantime, my husband and I, and some of my friends and neighbors, will go out of our way to visit the Dunkin' Donuts located in the Horseheads Walmart which happens to provide EXCELLENT service even though they deal with crowds of customers daily! Nice breakfast sandwiches and good coffee. BUT, come on guys...The doughnuts I want are usually not available. Worse yet, I have gone there several times and there wasn't one doughnut. None! How can a doughnut shop run out of donuts? I was told only one person makes the doughnuts each night. The doughnuts are sooo good and that's why they're selling out. It's hard to even give this location one star. Every time I go thru the drive-thru I have had mostly rude customer service, however, I would forgive their behavior thinking they are having a bad day, and always tipped them hoping that would put a smile on their face. After my experience yesterday in the drive-thru window, I will no longer return. The manager was extremely rude and yelled at me because I could not understand her when ordering my coffee. I thought she told me to go to the window. When I arrived at the window, she said I didn't complete my order. (two black iced coffees). I politely said I thought she said to go to the window. She yelled at me at this point "you should have completed your order". I still was polite to her and said there is no reason to speak to me this way. She then continued speaking to me cursing at me, and spoke into her headset explaining to a customer behind me she had a difficult customer "bitching" at her! At that point I asked the other girl at the window who is the tall girl speaking to me like this, she looked terrified and would not answer me. I asked her several times before she finally said that is the manager! I said to her well if that's the manager, then you all are screwed. That is the worst experience I have ever encountered with any customer service! I will never go back there. I can't believe Dunkin Donuts would allow this behavior to continue. I will drive out of my way to go to the location on College Ave, they are consistently friendly and provide exceptional customer service! read more

They are always super nice! Today they were especially nice, which was great, cuz it's my birthday! But! I didn't go there for nice, I went there for coffee. So the reason I'm giving three starts rather than five is because I was sitting there in the drivethru window and the guy hands the lady a medium iced coffee to give to me. She said "wasn't this a large?" He said "oh" and takes back from her. It was a large iced Carmel latte with an extra shot of espresso. So he could make it a large without starting all the way over he took a large cup, filled it all the way to the top with ice and then poured the coffee into that cup. So I paid $5 for a large but actually got a $3 medium and $2 worth of ice. read more

A very close friend of mine ordered this in doordash, and they ordered 1 large iced Caramel latte, and it came without a straw. They also ordered 6 PRE-SLICED bagles w/ a $4 tub of cream cheese, witch did not come sliced and the cream cheese never showed up. they ordered 25 BLUEBERRY munchkin and gave them 23 GLAZED ones. The people who work here are friendly and professional. They even know its me by my order at the drive thru. If you are getting coffee after 9pm though expect a delay. They are open 24 hours but the guy at night is working alone. So be patient. He's SUPER nice. read more

Whenever I go through the drive thru at this location, they always give me the wrong breakfast sandwich. Today I ordered a ham and cheese croissant No Egg! I received egg, cheese and bacon croissant. I didn't realize this until I had arrived at work. I was already running late and couldn't go back to get the correct order. This has happened on several occasions. When going through the drive thru. The worst part of today was the employee standing at the drive thru talking to the other employee about said sandwich. The one said "this has no egg on it right and she said oh yeah but the ticket was wrong". My bad on probably not checking if the order was right before leaving. But, like I said this happens quite a bit at this drive thru. Especially when it gets busy. Don't waste your time at the drive thru, if you want you ordered go inside. read more

We are big fans of DD, but this one is off our list. We visit Elmira about once a month and make sure to get our coffee fix before we get over on Church Street. We went in once and that was enough. Rude to say the least. How does DD continue to offer these people a franchise? Money of course. Now a note to Nicole - it's not exactly downtown, but Kountry Krullers is on Broadway, not too far from DD - just Google it. You get a cup of good coffee and a FREE donut. And a smile and a thank you from some very nice ladies. They also have bagels, etc. And, no I am not the owner. Just a customer who knows a good deal when I get one. read more

The service is fast and the food is good, although a bit pricey. My only complaint is the rotten, uncaring attitude that many of the workers have there. I bought 2 coolattas from there and accidentally spilled them outside in the store parking lot; I walked in and asked if I could replace my drinks and they very rudely said no and shooed me away. Now I know they did NOT have to actually replace the drinks if they didn't want to (it was my fault), but they didn't have to be so nasty and uncaring to me about it, especially since those drinks I paid for were not cheap! read more

How can this place run out of donuts? Or bagels? Yes both have happened on separate occasions. The donuts more than once. I can't fathom how, why, or what causes this. The parking lot is a disaster in the morning! Do yourself a favor if you aren't using the drive through and park in the grocery store lot next door. I know longer go here though and the reason.... A couple weeks ago I went in around 3pm for some coffee for me and co workers. The man taking my order stopped me after 2 drinks and told me I couldn't order more. I had to walk outside and come back in. This was possibly the most Bazaar thing I have ever heard. I laughed at him thinking he was joking then he told me no go out then come back in. I told him nicely no way and I wanted to finish my order. He refused to take it. I didn't mean to but I couldn't stop laughing (lack of caffeine?) finally another man came over to finish my order but the other man yelled at me not to come back again.... Now I did have each order (6 total) on separate post its and was only asking for a subtotal after each thing. I was paying for everything together. So I naturally mentioned this when I got back to the office and my co worker who usually goes said yea I have them split it and they make me walk out the door and back in after every order (insert more hysterical laughing) I told my co worker he better not do that anymore because now I just thing of him walking out doing a little hands in the air shimmy and going back in. read more

Obnoxiously rude. Very poor attitude towards customers however they are the only coffee gig in downtown Elmira so I am forced to give them my business on occasion. Totally lower your expectations. I have never once had a smile, thank you, or any nice customer service. read more
