They had no sour bread dough, eggs, cookie batter donuts. They were nice though. They were very patient as well.

Very busy. Great staff and the manager is super efficient and personable. Great grape jam tossed bagels.

Really wanted to like this place after seeing a lot of comments/pictures on the FB group, WV Area…read moreRestaurant Reviews. My husband picked up two spaghetti dinners to bring home. He said he had to wait while the lady walked down to the grocery store for lettuce for our salads. The spaghetti sauce was very bland. Even adding hot sauce and grated parm didn't help. Also, like another reviewer wrote, the portions were small, and had very little sauce. The salads consisted of about 6 or seven bites each. The bread was over-buttered and was placed directly on top of the spaghetti, which by the time he got home, it was soggy. Attaching picture they posted today of their spaghetti dinner, and pictures of what we received. First & last time we'll be there!

Stopped in to try the Monte Cristo locals had been raving about with my husband. We arrived around…read more6pm, but service was still quick and friendly. We started with some broccoli bites that came out quickly and tasted pretty good. Nice and crispy without being overdone. My husband ordered the daily special of chicken and dumplings as they where out of meatloaf. No biggie. Our mains came out quickly as well, and most everything was really good. The dumplings where of the large biscuit variety but with good taste and texture. The mashed potatoes where the slightest bit peppery, and the corn sweet. My Monte Cristo was perfectly fried and crispy on the outside and gooey goodness on the inside with the a hint of sweetness in the batter. It came with strawberry jam, but was so good it didn't need it. The fries where standard and surprisingly just the tiniest bit undercooked to my preference, which was odd because the other fried foods where crispy perfection. They also use something like Lawry's seasoning salt on them, and I just wasn't a big fan personally. Overall we enjoyed our meal and will be back to try other menu items. One thing I will slightly complain about is the to-go boxes. Petty, I know. They are super flimsy, so beware if ordering to-go.

We stopped into Spring Hill Pastry Shop during a last-minute overnight trip, and I'm really glad we…read moredid. Everything we tried was soft, fresh, and flavorful without being overly sweet, which I really appreciated. You can tell this is the kind of place that's been doing things the same (and doing them well) for a long time. The prices were also surprisingly great, and had they been listed, I would have purchased a lot more. It's a small, old-school bakery that's clearly been a local favorite for generations, and that charm is part of what makes it special. That said, as first-time visitors, it was a little tough to navigate. Nothing is labeled, no menu, no prices, so we had to ask a few questions and rely on recommendations. Maybe it was just a busy Saturday morning, but the young woman helping us didn't seem thrilled that I was taking photos and asking about the pastries. I get that most of their customers are probably regulars who already know what they want, but for those of us just passing through, a little guidance (and patience) would go a long way. Even with that experience, I'd still recommend stopping by. The pastries really are that good, the prices are fair, and it's the kind of nostalgic, old fashioned bakery that's getting harder to find these days.

The staff here is absolutely amazing. They do a lot of volume and they keep people moving through…read morewith love and care. They have a wide variety of cakes, cookies, donuts, and pastries. My favorite was the hot dog doughnut with chocolate drizzle that they are famous for.
