I love the lemon blueberry pancakes. I think they could do so much more with their menu - the food sort of seems like an afterthought here. I think if their current menu was in a "standard" diner, I don't think the doors would stay open, but the added benefit of the coffees/pastries, the vegetarian options, and the eccentric experience, I think L.A. While we were waiting in line, the lady working the register showed the people in front of us all of the baked goods they had for sale, including all of the croissants and puff pastries. When it was our turn at the window, both my wife and I ordered cold coffees with brown sugar. I also chose a key lime puff pastry while my wife went with a pain au chocolat. I first started with my key lime puff pastry, which I found to be quite good. The puff pastry definitely had good lamination, while the key lime was sharp, and I appreciated the coconut on top. After that I tried my coffee, and while it wasn't what I was expecting, it was delicious. The coffee itself had a creaminess to it, while the brown sugar tasted almost like caramel. While the coffee flavor itself was a bit lost in this combination, I didn't mind at all and thoroughly enjoyed it. My wife also enjoyed her coffee and saved her chocolate croissant for later. The bottom line for me is that I would stop by here again in the future. Both of the items I had here were delicious, and I would love to try more of their menu, especially some of their crepes.
