Jason sold my 50 yo mother a $2000 treadmill for walking. It was a floor model and she was told it…read morewould be left on the floor with a sold sign. She came to her senses and realized that a less expensive treadmill would serve her, and called to cancel the very next day. Jason, the only employee there on a sunday, answered the phone and was clearly irritated at losing that commission. He told her there would be a $300 restocking fee and she protested. After a few moments of silence, he told her it would be taken care of and Hung up abruptly. Minutes later he called back to blame the disconnection on another employee using a fax and rescinded the restocking fee forgiveness. Since we were driving by, we went to see if the machine had been moved from the floor, it hadn't and was still sitting in its place with a sold sign. Jason continued his barrage of lies, saying he had moved it back to the floor just then. I call BS, Jason. And my mother will be calling the better business bureau.

Over the years, I've struggled to find a suitable way to exercise because it always seemed kind of…read morepointless. First, it was the gym - mostly with machines rather than free weights, so I never had good results. Then, it was martial arts. After I got tired of having to memorize silly practice routines, I switched to rock climbing but balked at how the local gym was always crawling with kids, so I could rarely climb when/where I wanted. Eventually, I did some research online and found out about kettlebells. I found a certain program, joined Planet Fitness to try it out on the cheap, and really liked the initial results even with PF's toy weights, so I decided to buy real kettlebells and exercise at home. Anthony at G&G was happy to show me the ropes. Not only did he give me tips on form, he showed me other exercises I could do and invited me to call him if I ever needed any extra help. I've been on the kettlebell program for a few weeks now and have honestly never felt better. Anthony's advice really helped me. As for the kettlebells themselves, they're significantly better quality than what you can find in chain stores. They're powder coated for ease of grip and come with a lifetime guarantee. Overall, I've had an excellent experience and look forward making progress on my fitness journey.

Traditional stores were very expensive…read more I tried to order the colorful neoprene from a large company, but when they arrived, the dumbbells themselves were different sizes. Like 1 8 lb was different than the other 8 lb. Plus, I hated all the colors and thought they would look awful out on a rack. I took that as a sign to just get the weights I wanted. I thought I was going to have to drive to Columbus to go to an exercise equipment manufacturer to get reasonably priced set of dumbbells, however they weren't open on Sundays. My bf stumbled upon G&G Fitness and found that they had several locations. He contacted one and asked them about their dumbbells and the employee was incredibly friendly and helpful. She looked up their inventory and let us know that Monroeville had everything I wanted. On Sunday, I made the 1 hourish drive to Monroeville instead of the 3 hourish drive to Cleveland. I arrived and the gentleman working was helpful, friendly and welcoming. He collected the 3s, 5s, 8s, 10s, 12s and 15s I wanted. He even offered to help me load them in my car. Their dumbbells were a little more expensive than the place in Columbus, but I figure saving 4+ hours of drive time was worth it. This store is a hidden gem and I'm so happy to have found it. They had a large collection of exercise equipment, machines and weights. I never felt judged because of being a girl and the customer service could not have been any better. Next time I need something exercise related, I'll check G&G before considering a trip across state borders.

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! In February or March 2021, I contacted G&G Fitness to repair the…read moreelliptical that they originally sold. I paid over $100 for them to come to my house and diagnose the problem with my $2,500 elliptical. They advised me that it was a simple solution and it simply needed a wire replaced and it would be 4 to 6 weeks as the item is on back-order. The part arrived in June and the service repairman determined that he ordered the wrong part and that he would have to order a new wire. They contacted me in October 2021 over 7 months after the initial diagnosis to advise me that it was not the wire, but a motor that needed to be replaced and despite their error in diagnosis (which I paid over $100 for their expertise) and the seven months without a working piece of exercise equipment, that they weren't going to refund me a penny for the repair, but that they would credit me toward the purchase of a new $2,500 machine. BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY.
