Terrible service the staff were extremely rude and unproffesional getting flippy and emotional…read moreafter I had brought up the fact that they had kept my computer gathering dust in storage for nearly 2 full months. Once or twice a week I would call them for updates and everytime they would lie saying I would get it in a couple of days and they were currently working on the repair until eventually towards the end of the second month someone finally told the truth and said look I dont know what everyone else who has been on the phone with you has been saying but we don't actually have the parts so your computer has just been sitting here. I came to collect my computer and not only was it covered in dust the frame was damaged had a crack down it from when they opened it, screws were missing one of the fans protectors was gone and initially I thought they had broken the battery but in fact they just didnt put it back in properly. After all this I called asking to speak to a manager or higher up staff member or possibly customer care and the person on the phone asked why and I told him the whole story and again unprofessional and flippy attitude about how dare I accuse them of any of this and denied me speaking to anyone and ended the call. I have just recently called again after quite a long time about a DPD parcel being delivered and again recieved more rude flippy attitude and responses before again having the call ended on me. From my experience they are rude arrogant children who don't know how to run a business or treat their customers. Further update I went in store to retrieve my parcel that was delivered and they refused to give it to me saying that they had a parcel but not for me even after showing an email about it being delivered and after leaving wondering if there has been a mistake or if they are yet again just being extremely petty and unprofessional I checked my emails to find a picture taken by the delivery person of the parcel being left at the store after being recieved by a "Josh" so yet again I have been rudely treated and lied to and are refusing to give me my parcel.

I bought from 3000rpm a multimedia drive enclosure broke down after 6 months…read more They asked me to return it at my expense for a refund. I returned as agreed by registered mail and I never saw, nor my money or the item (since nearly 2 months). My emails remain unanswered. They are well protected by Ebay and Paypal that prevent any testimony past 45 days ... Besides, if you look at their negative testimonials on Ebay , you will see that those who have had problems in this period were also cheated. For others, any return on the assessment is impossible. In short, 3000rpm will continue to defraud in peace if no one know their practices. So thanks to transmit this testimony around you. Last week, further to my review they asked me to send another mail to solve the problem but nothings change, not even an answer !

Extremely poor. I submitted my macbook pro for repair. It would not power on. The issue was not…read moreresolved. I was given a full refund an effectively ushered out of the shop "because its too much work to fix" apparently. However when I investigated further it became apparent that an attempt to solder the motherboard had failed and destroyed the connection to the screen- It would no longer power on- it had no battery and the screen was permanently broken. Disk depot returned my macbook in far worse condition than it was originally submitted. I implore people to avoid the services of this company.

Used Disk Depot in Union Street, Dundee for an iPhone screen replacement during the festive period…read more Service: Called up Disc Depot (and others like it locally) on the morning of the replacement for opening times, part availability and turnover time for the work to be done. Disc Depot were open despite others being closed, they had the part, and could carry out the work same day. I also received a quote of £35 over the phone. I arrived some 20mins later and agreed the work. No other faults were discovered or required and I expected to cost to be £35 as a result. Received a call around 2 hrs later saying the work had been carried out. Staff confirmed no additional work was required or carried out. I was charged £40. When I queried this I was informed the earlier quote was wrong (sorry!) as the prices change all the time, and £40 was the latest price. No wishing to quibble over a fiver I accepted the amount which, despite the increase, was still competitive with other quotes I had. Product: The replacement is in good order thus far - a few days since the replacement. There is a 3-month warranty with the new screen. I was informed the replacement was the real thing. Considering the price Apple charge for the same work I'd argue that it's not, but it's doing the job for now so I'll wait and see. Price: Competitive. Mis-led initially but not dramatic enough to quibble but should be bourne in mind hence the 4/5 rating. Otherwise it would be a full marks. Also worth noting that they insist on taking your pin code while carrying out the repair so they could do diagnostics afterwards. I was obviously wary of this as why would they need a pin for a screen replacement, but I felt a bit pressured and off guard so gave them it giving their insistence. They logged it on their computer. I did ask for this to be removed from the system afterwards - which they said they have, but maybe something to be aware of. All in all I would use again.

I had a small disaster with my laptop and took it down to Simply Fix It's Dalkieth branch…read more Mack, the chap in the shop, was not only sympathetic and patient in the face of my obvious ignorance but was cheerful and identified the problem within minutes. He then set about fixing the problem despite the fact that he was the only member of staff on duty and obviously had other trouble-shooting operations on the go at the same time (thus proving that it is not only women that can multi-task). He had me back up and running and gave valuable advice to prevent the problem happening again. First class service, delivered in a knowledgeable and friendly manner.... and to cap it all, a very reasonable fee. The only criticism I have is for Simply Fix It's head office. I wrote to them complimenting them on their Dalkeith operation but never received an acknowledgement. This lead me to think that Mack was not given credit for his excellent service. For this reason, I can not give them the full 5 star rating.

The staff were great and gave my computer a complete clean which I wasn't expecting, and called me with an update half way through and texted me when it was ready to collect. My iMac is now running good as new and they've saved me so much money. Will definitely take any computer to them first before replacing it. Very pleased!
