There is a very nice paved path surrounding the main park area great for running, walking, pushing strollers etc. There is a huge playground and picnic area. There is a large indoor gym with basketball, run track, class rooms and conference rooms. And I believe they also have an adjoining disc golf course (at least did at one time) We come here often. Granted, it was a weekday around 3 in the afternoon there weren't many people there. When I got arrived there was only one person in the mixed dog run with her dog. When I left about a half hour later, three other people showed up but everyone was in a separate dog run. The people I met were all very nice and I was told that the park rarely has anyone in the dog park area. I found that really odd because it seems like a nice park with a lot of room for your dog to get all of their energy released.

The bathrooms were AMAZING well stocked, stalls had toilet paper and are the cleanest park bathrooms I've seen in Georgia so far! There was plenty of parking I believe I paid $5 to park if it wasn't $5 it was $10 but it was well worth it. I'll be back to enjoy the beach, the rest of the park and more trails.

This was my first time but I could tell things were recently renovated including the event center. The bathrooms were clean too. For my pickle ballers, there's a There's an on site court and also a miniature golf area. Not sure of the cost. They also have water sports activities available like kayaking. I'd definitely come here over the summer. Oh and it's a National park, so parking is $10 if you don't have an annual parking pass.

The fields are nice and they recently renovated the batting cages. Now the bathrooms could use some work. It feels like they are almost always very dirty, out of soap or toilet paper, and just feel incredibly aged. This is the one thing that keeps this park from being 5 stars. The gym is great, great backboards, and would be perfect if it wasn't for the floors. It's hard to plant or change direction/do any type of movement without having your feet slip, so this feels really dangerous at times if you're trying to play a game. I would recommend just shooting around or playing very casually if playing indoors. There are 2 outdoor full courts with 10' rims on one end and about 9'6" on the other end. These courts would have also been perfect if it wasn't for the short hoops at one end. I'm really not sure why it was made this way, but I usually go here to play halfcourt. Other than that, there are really good single rims and above average backboards (especially for an outdoor court). The flooring here is nothing like I have ever seen before and it grips really well! It also feels a little easier on the knees than a traditional outdoor court. On a nice day it can get REALLY packed so you might have to wait for a court or try to play pick-up. There are also 2 public tennis courts in the area that can also get busy. They are really well maintained, but it can also get busy on a nice day!

Because I couldn't find any open parking spaces and people were lined up outside the recreation center, I ended up leaving to go to another polling place. Lynwood Park is on Osborne Road, and you either know exactly where it is, or just accidentally stumble upon it because you're completely lost. It's definitely in an out of the way location, but that's what makes it nice. The second time I came to this park, it was to practice my tennis serves. The park has two tennis courts that are well maintained, especially for being in a public park. The courts are first-come, first served. Tennis players are generally polite and will not hog the tennis courts. While I was there for a little over an hour, I noticed that there were playground equipment for kids to climb on, a covered picnic area with tables, two full sized basketball courts, a swimming pool and a multi-use grass field. I didn't go into the recreation center, so I have no idea what's in it. I haven't been to Lynwood Park often enough to get a better feel of the vibe, but I'm sure I'd be using most of the facilities constantly if I lived nearby. My picture didn't actually do any justice to the appearance of the park because the park looks much nicer in person. Drop me a note if you want to hit some tennis balls with me!

There is paid parking on campus, and since it was the summer, there was not an issue finding any. We entered through the main entrance and there were students working out on the main floor that you could see and the facility felt updated and modern, with high ceilings. It was exciting to say that we swam in the same pool used for the Olympics in 1996. They proudly and rightfully display that fact for everyone to see. The pool is huge with bleachers (with real seats, not a bench) on one side. The pool was huge of course and was split in half due to the shorter lengths that my kids were swimming. The views were great from the seats no matter where you were and the diving end was also clearly visible. Hope to be back!

I was in the women's bathroom on the second floor and two giant cockroaches came charging after me. Another person said they found a dead cockroach by the pool yesterday as well. I alerted staff that there are several cockroaches and a woman working at the facility said "I'm not sure what you want me to do about it." Nasty business. For some reason it won't let me add a photo of the roach!
