Don't repeat my mistake. They advertize low price, but then would use your card to charge you extra. They sent me the weight invoice for the bin than was weighted 2 days later to compare to my return date. The weight was 2.5 times higher than what I expected. The prices are great; but the infrastructure is terrible. They struggled so much just to email an invoice. After two different emails were given, they texted pictures of the invoice, so I can see the employee's reflection of their computer. They tried to blame me for not being able to receive the email; but the emails are generic everyday emails from two large providers. Then I found out they were having system issues themselves--No kidding. After several days I received their test email, which didn't have an attachment, and it is obvious they were finally getting something fixed. But no .PDF version of the invoice. I ordered a small (4 yard) bin to remove some soil and sod from back yard. Was told that it would show between 8 am to 3 pm. I waited until 4;30 before cancelling. Very poor customer service. I would not recommend this company especially if the job is in anyway time sensitive. I ended up finding a another company. read more

Damaged my driveway on careless bin removal. I was told it will go away in time or I could clean it myself. They over charged my credit card without authorization (since refunded) prior to invoicing and before I could make payment via e-transfer as requested. When requested a copy of the dump ticket, they showed me a picture an overweight one with the date/time hidden by a post-it. When asked to resend without date etc hidden, they sent another picture of totally new one with the correct date but from a different company with a different truck for a similar but different weight. However the dumpster was still at my property at the time on the timestamp (all verifiable ). When again I requested the actual dump ticket, he then said he would give ME the benefit of the doubt and only charge the min dumping fee (ie what he should have charged in the first place). How many people don't notice and fall for this kind of SCAM. Rob comes across as a personable guy but aside from the original bin delivery guy, everything about this company reeks of improper shady business practices. Their prices etc may appear great but after what they did, if this is how they operate, I wouldn't go near them again. read more

We had the bin for over a week, called last Wednesday to get it picked up. Was told it would be picked up last Friday Sep 10, the bin is still sitting in my driveway as of 11:00 AM Sep 13. The lady answering the phones say's it was marked picked up on Friday and refuses to give me any other # to call. Our credit card has also been charged $400 before it was weighed or taken away. Not sure how they will spin this review but if I had read the other reviews we would not have rented from them. We are on a tight construction schedule and this bin sitting in the driveway is causing delays. read more

Dump Squad damaged my driveway and were not cooperative nor accountable when informed of such. My ask of them was simple, come to my house to survey the damage and we could have a face to face discussion to address professionally. After 4 months of trying, they remain uncooperative to this simple request. During this time, I visited their offices at the address listed on their website to address this issue in person. This address is not an office but rather a residential property. There was a Dump Squad truck in the driveway, however the individuals who answered the door mentioned they were tenants with no connection to Dump Squad, a commercial business operating out of this address. If you are considering renting a dumpster bin, do not hire Dump Squad. They are invisible, unprofessional and unaccountable. You will notice that there are many reviews both here on Home Stars and on other sites that are consistent with my experience. Common complaints include damage to personal property with no accountability or restitution, overcharging and poor service with an unprofessional attitude. DO NOT use this company. My experience was that they grossly inflated the weight of the contents of my bin, coming in at 2.2 metric tons. That's about 4,600 pounds or two Toyota Corollas. I paid very careful attention to the weight of what I was throwing in the bin in order to keep the cost down. It had mostly old lumber and a few garbage bags of plastic garden pots. I used an online calculator to estimate the weight of the wood. There were about 6 ten foot lengths of 4x4 pressure treated lumber @ 41.2 pounds each, 3 small ties of about 8 feet let's say @ 15 pounds each, 10-12 2x4's of no more than 10 feet each@ 17.6 pounds, and 20-30 6 foot lengths of fence boards @ 16.6 pounds each. plus 4 doors weighing between 50-100 pounds.That 's roughly 1351 pounds, way below one metric ton. Even if I were to double the amount, it is nowhere close to the 4,600 pounds for which I was charged. The bill from the waste management company did not identify my address, and there does not seem to be any recourse. If you use this company, and I highly suggest you do not, make sure you take photos of the contents of your bin so that when they attempt to overcharge you, you have some defence. read more

Ordered a 20 yard bin, but a 14 yard bin was delivered. I call Rob Bond immediately and he offered to only charge be for the 14 yard bin (wow, how nice of him), and also said he would offer a deal if I required a 2nd bin. My contractor started demo on Monday and told me at 8am on Tuesday to have another bin delivered by Wed morning. I called Rob and he said no trucks were available to deliver until Thurs. As demo was continuing I had to order another bin from another company, who had the bin in my driveway within 3 hours of my call. I asked Rob for some level of compensation, as his mistake of delivering a smaller bin, cost me an extra $120, his answer was he couldn't as "margins were too tight". Sure, he was pleasant to speak with, but excuses do not make up for mistakes that cost the customer money. Please, spend the extra money and go with a reputable company that has the resources to meet your needs! read more
