On 8/5/25 my AirPods were stolen at the miller hill car wash. The following day I stopped in to talk to the owner, Payton Sullivan, to explain the situation and that they were now pinging to a halfway house. He explained to me that stuff falls out and gets thrown away all the time, but quickly managed to call the employee responsible and asked him to bring the AirPods he "found" to his shift much later in the day. In having Payton bring up the video, a different employee than the one who brought them home could clearly be seen in frame tucking a white case in his pocket. Per Payton, the new guy on his 3rd shift took them and was the only one terminated, however he seemed very comfortable exchanging stolen goods with his new coworkers. Being that I couldn't wait around 3 hours to get my stolen AirPods back and would need to again drive an hour round trip out of my way to get them back, I very politely articulated that this was quite frustrating and asked if he could at least attempt to make it worth my time. I was sheepishly handed 2 vouchers and nothing nearing an apology was ever said, in fact Payton acted like I was getting one over on him or something. I had someone else pick up my AirPods and when I actually managed to get them a few days later they weren't even mine and were owned by someone named Karter! Must be a lot of stolen stuff to keep track of! When I called Payton to ask if he had my earbuds he said they must've gotten mixed up. I politely expressed my disappointment with this whole experience and that I would again have to drive an hour out of my way. Despite my initial attempt at keeping it civil and conversing like adults, Payton blew up and began to yell, cuss, and name call at me. He stated through expletives that I was lucky I was even getting them back, that he should throw them away because I'm "ungrateful", that he works 80 hours a week, I'm a loser, and so what I now have to waste multiple hours across multiple days because his business stole from me. At the end of his 5 minute tantrum, Payton told me to never come back and hung up the phone. I'm going to try to get them later today and hopefully he still has them and can control himself so I don't have to get police involved. He seems pretty active in the google review responses so can't wait to see the story he spins in response to me. Hopefully Karter gets his AirPods back and doesn't have to go through what I have! Payton Sullivan and Miller hill car wash, don't do good business, they don't treat their customers well, and don't even seem to clean cars well per their other terrible reviews.

HOWEVER, my visit a couple of days ago WILL BE MY LAST. the new owner that took over a couple of years ago has really let that place go, he doesn't believe in proper maintenance, or upkeep. several self serve bays didn't work. in fact the bay I pulled into I put $5 in (price went up from $3) and the pressure wash wand failed, went and told the attendant and he couldn't seem to pull himself away from his screen time (phone), while my $5 clock was counting down - he didn't even offer me a refund, he did go and hit a switch or something and the wand started working BUT NO REFUND OF THE MONEY I LOST!!!! HE ALSO DIDN'T CREDIT ME - I ended up putting more money in just to finish the wash/rinse. then........ the vending machine where the towels, window cleaner towelettes, etc were was OUT OF ORDER.. asked the attendant if he had a key, I was willing to purchase these items if he could open the machine and he did not. it was -13 degrees outside that day and I wanted to wipe down the door seals and window seals so they didn't freeze shut, but..... JUNCTION FAILED, HAS BEEN FAILING. funny how the attendant stated that the owner just doesn't care anymore since the new car wash opened up - that new owner hasn't cared since he took over (before the new car wash opened) - I know a past employee... this guy thinks he can just collect money from people/customers and not have to put any money or maintenance back in. wish he would sell to someone WHO ACTUALLY CARES!!!!!!!
