I stopped by Dulce on this past Saturday with a good friend who's helping me decorate my newly purchased mid century modern home. I selected this store because I heard I'd find items to complement the architecture of my home. Immediately upon entering the store I was greeted by the owners of the store. Everyone who works there is extremely helpful and were willing to help me find some items to add to my existing inventory of home furnishings. I ended up finding more items than I initially planned to purchase because the pricing was amazing compared to other consignment shapes I've visited lately. My favorite store in Dallas. This large space is run by excellent management and responsive, courteous staff. The store brings in unique objects from all over the world. There is beauty in their layout and display of objects, art, accessories, rugs, etc. The consigned items are reasonably priced and sell quickly. PSA: DO NOT USE this consignment store. My experience was terrible with them. They mishandled and damaged some of my stuff and they sold some of my products at a very low price. Best to choose a different consignment store or sell your stuff or an online marketplace. Also, the way they treat their consignors, is very bad, they make you feel like that you are not valued or you are a low priority. It's like they are doing you a favor??. I asked AI to give me some upscale Modern furniture consignment stores in my area and Dulce popped up. My husband and I went there on a Saturday and not only were the employees extremely helpful and very humble, they were knowledgeable and friendly. Even the customers that were shopping there had an upbeat vibe. It was really cute listening to clients hum to the catchy music they play in the background too. Everything is clean and well organised plus the items are labelled clearly and fairly. Ironically, Dulce makes you want to buy everything in the showroom and just make it work in your own home. They always have plenty of beautiful things, if they don't have some thing that blends with what you have, come back next week-- they probably will. They get new things in all the time and have a lot of unique very well-made pieces. They have a few amazing pieces and great service, if you ask for help. I wouldn't say they are the go-to place for all your decor needs, however, you will find something unique for your home. We got a phenomenal deal on a huge crystal chandelier. They even referred us to a reliable delivery company. The icing on the cake was the service we received after making our purchase. The manager/owner had every single-probably 200-crystal ball removed and boxed for the delivery company. This made the fixture lighter to hang for the electrician. We will be back! read more

I have a few things from there, but I had to stop shopping there, because there's this guy that works there will not stop harassing me. This last visit it got so bad I had to run out of the store because he would not leave me alone. I was trying to shop and look for things for my new place, and he was right in my face heckling me to come into the bathroom with him to fool around and he would not stop. I kept saying no I'm not going into the bathroom with you I came here to shop, and he kept saying it over and over again and wouldn't leave me alone so I stormed out. Dulce is not your typical furniture consignment store. This is the store where Highland Park women dump their "old" Cantoni dining room tables and Art Deco-era buffets when they're sick of them. Having said that, the store is (predictably) expensive but a lot of the pieces are one-of-a-kind and beautiful. On occasion, you can find a cheap diamond in the rough. The store also has lots of fabulous local art for sale on the walls. read more

When one reads the word consignment in a business's title, they might think lower end or just 'eh' quality. Dulce gives a whole new meaning to the word, consignment. Though there are some fun and goofy novelty pieces in the store that you probably wouldn't otherwise seriously purchase for your home, they know how seamlessly implement almost every type of decor items. The store is overflowing with couches, candelabras, dressers, armoires, velvet paintings, rugs...the list goes on. Indeed the prices run steep, but everything is in mint condition and displayed anyway that it makes you think you just might need that painting with a leopard riding a unicorn with Michael Jackson in the distance. Despite the quirky items - there are beautiful pieces ranging from retro to shabby chic. If anything, I recommend just popping into this place for some visual stimulation. As far as selling any furniture or decorative pieces, they are lovely to work with and extremely flexible when it comes to scheduling and adequate pricing. The parking is somewhat tight, but there is additional in the back of the building. read more

One of my favorite places to shop for unique items. I like contemporary more than my husband but he has found several things here he liked enough to buy. Inventory changes frequently so it is worth dropping in just to see what is new. If you really love it, though, buy it then as I have lost out on a couple of things by "thinking it over". Having recently moved to Dallas, I have been shopping for home furnishings, and while Dallas does have some really nice consignment furniture stores, Dulce is my favorite. First off, the selection of items -- from lamps, artwork, rugs and accessories to the more common sofas, tables, and chairs -- is very broad. There is a little of everything here. They are especially strong on contemporary artwork, so don't forget to look on the walls. The furniture is very well-priced, and is quality. I bought a pair of maple Calligaris barstools here for $100 each, and there is currently a Calligaris table and four chairs here if you need breakfast room furniture. You can also get larger pieces, like the massive gold-leaf table, 8 chairs, sideboard, and china cabinet set which would be perfect for your massive Highland Park dining room (which is, I'm sure, where they came from before they arrived at Dulce). I also purchased a set of Kate Spade appetizer plates, a set of Kate Spade accent plates (a total score, on both accounts!) and a nice accent lamp for my entryway. The staff is really kind and helpful, and will answer all of your questions. Parking in front is really limited, so go around to the lot behind the building, and ring the back door buzzer, and someone will let you in. You'll have a fun hour or so going through the store and wondering how you can incorporate one fabulous piece or another into your home. Keep checking back for new things every couple of weeks, since the stock changes regularly as people bring in new things. read more

Warning: you will leave here wishing your house was bigger! This is a top-notch consignment store with a vast selection of furniture and decor all in perfect condition. Dulce will make you never want to step foot in a full priced retail store again...at least not before you have checked out their inventory first. Unlike some Dallas consignment stores, the staff here really appreciates their buyers. You won't be met with snooty employees even if you're shopping on a tight budget. They are helpful and willing to work with you. Tip: prices are negotiable for frequent shoppers or if you are buying more than one item. This is one of my favorites, but is also the kind of place I have to be careful not to visit too often. It's difficult to browse without wanting to buy. There are a lot of mediocre consignment stores in Dallas, and a lot of art galleries that make Ikea art look good by comparison. This store is different. The owner has excellent tastes, and there's a fairly wide variety of styles and objects. Prices aren't cheap, but they aren't unexpected either...and there are quite a few stores with lower quality and higher prices. And you can snag some deals on sale/clearance items. read more

I sold a very high-end (read: expensive) contemporary dining room table through Dulce. The owner was extremely helpful and professional, even though I never met her in person--we did the entire transaction by phone and email. Her communication was excellent, and she negotiated what I felt was a very fair deal with the eventual buyer. I doubt I could have sold this particular piece of furniture any other way, and I know I wouldn't have gotten as much for it, even after the consignment store's "cut". I'm looking forward to eventually getting down to Dulce to browse their showroom. read more

This is one of the best shops to find One of a Kind items,ranging from furniture to art .The prices are reasonable considering you are not shopping for the ordinary Ikea stuff.
