I had to be admitted for 6 weeks for prenatal care with a very sensitive issue. The nurses on the fifth floor are impeccable. They're attentive, knowledgeable, and very willing to help. The 12 doctors with MFM are also some of the top. I'm thankful that they supported me.

Have had two extensive days at Duke with heart related issues. Both of these issues were life threatening and both times once in 2014 and again in 2015 Duke rocked. Dr Eli and Dr Hughes along with Dr Hershman and many others are genuine health professionals.

Duke University Systems has served the International & US for Decades - the medical care is second to none. It can be a little difficult to get where you need to be but it is definitely worth the extra effort. I go to the speciality clinic regularly and the valet service is so valuable even though there's a fee. Plenty wheelchairs available & parking decks available for a fee x 2. The Doctors- nurses & support staff professionals and kind -Duke offers satellite services but all the care cohesively is maintained in the Duke my Chart. It's amazing to see the physical transformation from decades ago.

Went to hospital for help. No test ran. Just looked down upon. The only thing was I waited for hours for vital signs. Just no help.

Please do your research before you or a loved one admits to this location. Treatment was not personalized like it was advertised to be on the website so there was a lot of generalization happening. Which ended up making treatment difficult for individuals differing behaviors. The patients were honestly the most helpful/supportive part about my experience there.

Turns out one of the side effects is rapid weight gain. That's how they get their results? From utilizing medication that isn't appropriate for the patient!!!!! Very self serving. Got my daughter out the very next day. Months later I received a bill for 12 DOSES of various medications they say they gave her during her 27 hours there. She said she remembers taking two doses of medicines so I can't decide what is worse the fact that they are indicating that they gave her 12 doses of medicine during those 27 hours or the fact that they're billing me for medicine that they didn't give her? There is something very wrong about this whole thing, and I would like to dive further into it.

Wrote a review yesterday 12/30 about a tech hurting me during a mammogram and ignoring my pain…read more Supervisor of Mammography did call me in the morning the next day 12/31, addressed that problem, and had me come in to evaluate the wound and treat it. She even gave me her direct phone number. The first mammogram had indicated that a second mammogram and possibly an ultrasound would be necessary. I have met my 2025 out-of pocket, so if the tests were done that day, the 31st, I would incur no further costs. Karie, the supervisor, went above and beyond to contact my family doctor, get orders for the mammogram, then scheduled me into the main hospital at Chapel Hill and personally did the diagnostic mammogram. It showed I needed an ultrasound and it was able to be done immediately at UNC Chapel Hill. Karie and the techs there were wonderful. Karie has also scheduled a meeting with a tech this week and entered notes into my chart that will avoid this type of incident. Apparently, as women age and their skin gets thinner, it is quite common.

You do have to walk across the indoor bridge to get there unless you valet park. They charge $2 an hour for parking. The staff is very helpful and friendly. Everything is done with an arm bracelet for things such as lab or testing. I had an appointment with neuromuscular department. The physicians and therapists are excellent. They're very thorough and up to date on current medicines and trials. The EMG center is in the same clinic so it's super convenient. Being part of the Duke portal is convenient for Atrium Wake Forest and Cone Health because all testing is visible and they can also see visit notes from the doctors. It makes it possible to see providers from different networks and not having to bring in or sign for your records to be shared. The facility is massive and the color system makes it easy to find your way. There are several labs so you don't have to walk a mile to get to one. Most walk in tests can accommodate with minimal waiting. It's about a quarter mile walk from the parking garage to the clinics so wear comfy shoes or walking device. You will have a lot of walking to do and there's limited seating in the main corridors.
