I wish I could give them less than one star. This place is awful. I started going to Duke dermatology at Duke University. I transfered to the Southpoint location to follow my doctor. I have experienced a few excisions and one bout with melanoma. I had to have skin checks bi-annually. Every time I've had a visit I've scheduled my next visit before I left the office. There has not been an appointment where I did not receive a letter saying I needed to reschedule and when you do, it is not in a timely manner. Before covid the care provided was adequate. I had a scheduled appointment during Covid, it was canceled. After Covid, I tried getting an appointment and because of the lapse in time due to Covid I was told that I would have to start over with a new doctor. I did this. Since Covid this practice has declined drastically. I reached a point where my visits only needed to happen annually and every year as my appointment got closer, I would receive a letter and have to call to reschedule. I called today to reschedule my appointment which I made a year ago. I'm greeted by a person on the phone who seems to have no interest in helping me and is repeatedly yawning in my ear. I am put on hold for over eight minutes and then she returns to the phone to tell me that I cannot get an appointment until 2027. This is absolutely unacceptable. Needless to say, I am done. I did not schedule an appointment for a year out and now I will need to find a new dermatologist with whom I probably won't be able to get in for another year anyway.
