I submitted my application along with the required photo of my drivers license and all other requirements. She would never tell me whether I was approved or not and then finally When I became upset she said she would put me on the list of one of the homes that I had chosen out of three. Then she tells me one of the three was rented but it's still listed for rent and finally I never even get responses back on my emails about the house that she had put my application in for. I was also required to drive an hour to bring my license in even though it was on the application and never was scheduled to even view a house. Horrible experience!

I was planning to sell my townhome since it required significant renovation. Merrick Loveland was introduced to me via a trusted relative. His contacts were immediate, informative and very polite. We conducted a simple walkthrough and discussion of the property and he took a number of reference photos. He was extremely courteous and free with information about each step of he conducts his business. At no time was anything left unclear, nor was there any secretive aspect of the negotiation process. He rapidly made me an offer on the property. We entered a very short price negotiation and settled on a price that I was entirely satisfied with. Our closing process was equally smooth, prompt, well informed and professional. From my personal experience, Mr. Loveland is an honest, courteous professional in all aspects. I would happily deal with him again, and recommend him without hesitation.

He was supposed to be completed with the work back in August. He did nothing until October when one thing got done out of many. In January I got a visit from the subcontractor that did the one thing that was done, and he was looking for his money. Anthony told him he would pay him within a week, but never did and ignored his calls. To date he has done nothing more, and hasn't even come close to doing the amount of work I already paid him for. Anthony Smoot has now changed all of his phone numbers and ignored all emails to work something out. I looked into him and if you search his name you will find court cases from his last company, A Smooth Home Improvement. You can also find reviews where he took other customers money and never talked to them again. I have filed a complaint with the NC DOJ Consumer Protection. They are trying to contact him and he is ignoring their attempts as well. If he has taken money from you please file a complaint as well so they can track how far his bad business behaviors have gone. Do not trust Anthony Tyrone Smoot in this business, or whatever he will call the next one. I would not even trust a business that hires him, because it would show a real lack of judgment on their part.
