We really enjoyed this place. Went in for a beer, glass of wine and a sandwich and all three were really good! They have a good selection of beer and wine. We were able to watch the football game on TV which was one of the reasons we went there. They have six volleyball courts in the back which look like fun if you enjoy playing. If you have kids or grandkids, they have a cute little play area outside for the kids. We will be back for the Cuban and turkey sandwiches which we heard were really good. What a crap show! There's a dog that lives there and goes in and out of the kitchen. How is that sanitary!!?? Zero span of control where people go behind the counter and grab booze without paying. Very odd! At one point, who I assumed to be the owner, was yelling at an employee. Very unprofessional! Food was "meh" and this was just a dismal experience. Awesome local spot to grab food, brews, & fun! They have so much going on all the time, from sand soccer or volleyball, to Trivia Tuesdays. There is always something to do at Duke City Beaches. A very beach like atmosphere right in the middle of the NE heights where you can play volleyball in the sand pits! The food was pretty good and reasonably priced. A little on the salty side. Service was great though. read more

I would love to give this place a decent review, as the employees are nice and it's a cool venue. However... Food: - Pizza doughy and not done. Our table ordered 3 and all weren't cooked through, telling me they were frozen or cooked in a bad oven - nachos don't say tomatoes on menu, we ordered no salsa...full of tomatoes - several decent beers that were out. Draft ok, poor selection overall We had several people and all said they'd never go out of their way to go here. I wish the owners the best and hope our experience was an anomaly. read more

They are having Artfight tonight, for those of you that dont know what this, it's a group of artist that come and do live painting and you get to vote for your favorite. Really enjoy this place! The first time I went in I was just looking for a beer and something to eat, go figure meeting the owners and family kept me around a lot longer in a good way. Very welcoming and good people is what makes a bar and this is definitely that. With spring/summer coming in Hot, I know the outdoor volleyball and soccer will be on point. Duke City is my favorite place in Albuquerque hands down. I have three children and they have an outdoor play space, volleyball courts and board games. My husband and I love to come and have beers and appetizers while playing dominoes and letting the kids run around. A parents dream! Secure and small enough that you can keep an eye on them while they play. The staff is so warm and welcoming. The live music Friday's and Saturday's is the icing on the cake. They treat us like family! I'd give 10 stars if I could! read more

This place is terrible!! I would give 0 stars if I could. Two of the employees were constantly bickering. They were drinking on the job behind the bar which seems unsanitary!! The food takes so long and is sub par. They need to update their menus. Almost half of the beer menu, they don't have. Even with their small selection they still can't get the menu right? They also are very clearly giving out free beers and over serving customers. This was happening at the table right next to me and the person who was over served could barely walk out because he was so drunk. read more

I am on a volleyball team for the spring season. The facility is nice and the decor is cool. The sand on the court is great. The main issue with this place is that they have the poor bartender trying to tend bar as well as take food orders for the entire restaurant! She handled the stress well but everything about the food service was so unorganized. We waited 45 min for wings and a quesadilla. The owners really need to get waiters to go around to the tables inside and Outside to take orders. Getting more help for the cook staff as well could really improve the rating! read more
