Where do you go when you want to celebrate a couple of birthdays? We wanted to try someplace new, so Due Amici won the lucky draw. None of us have ever dined here and we had heard good reports, so thought we'd give it a whirl. The ambiance was nice and the service was excellent. We ordered a margarita pizza to share as a little nibble. It was so good. Two of us went with the Diablo pasta and the other got the Chicken Parmesan as the main course. Everyone loved their choice. I got to also try a couple of bites of the chicken Parmesan and the crunch breading was so good. I would be tempted to try it next time. While I thought the food was good, I don't think it justified the high prices. Especially the wine. $18 to $24 for a GLASS of wine, is ridiculous. I would label the restaurant as a very "special occasion" restaurant. Due to the prices, I wouldn't consider this a place I would frequent on a regular basis. I'm glad I tried it, but not sure I would be a regular here.

My son and I had brunch here on a Sunday before seeing a show at the Ohio Theater. We were promptly seated and greeted by our server, who was helpful and attentive. The brunch menu features traditional fare and French offerings (which seems strange for an Italian restaurant). My son ordered the peaches and cream French toast, which was really craveable. He ate every bite! My beef Bourguignon was a bit of a let down, oily with too many fatty pieces of beef. I'm not sure the high prices were justified but it was definitely nice for a splurge.

Great modern Italian restaurant downtown. I had antipasti and meatballs for appetizers and chicken marsala as a main. The marsala was over risotto. It was good - could've used a little more sauce but it's better than being drenched. There was music at the bar - it was nice in the background in the dining area. The server made great wine and food recommendations.

Had a phenomenal dinner early this week. The location is beautifully lit and had calming vibe. They had a live jazz band that was playing. The service was great. The food was DELICIOUS. The bruschetta was a melt in your mouth type of cheese. The brussel spouts were one of the best I have ever had in a restaurant. The mix of flavors was tasty. My main course was the veal piccata, it was perfectly breaded and seasoned. I was only in Columbus for a brief work event, but I hope to return when I am in town again.

I ordered the $17 Peaches & Cream French Toast and the $22 Duck Leg Confit, and both dishes completely exceeded expectations. The French toast was delicious--crispy on the outside, soft and custardy on the inside, with perfectly sweet peaches that still had a bit of bite. It struck a great balance between indulgent and fresh, and didn't feel overly heavy. But the duck leg confit was the real standout. The meat was so tender it practically fell off the bone, and it was juicy, rich, and seasoned to perfection. The accompanying salad was just as memorable: the blackberry vinaigrette added a bright, sweet contrast, and the toasted almonds brought a great crunch that tied everything together. This meal felt thoughtful and well-executed from start to finish. Would definitely come back.

Half of a chicken parmesan and half of a sausage diavolo. It looks like the same amount on camera but it's in a smaller bowl :)

Solid Italian establishment in downtown Cbus! Every time I come here the food and servers are great. It's a pretty chill vibe. Some people dress on the fancier side while others wear something more casual. The only reason I didn't decide to rate Due Amici five stars is because there are a few better options in the general area. To be honest, I was really debating on whether it should be 4 or 5 stars. I highly recommend the Tomato Soup and Chicken Parmesan (pasta, they also have a sandwich) but everything I've tried here has been tasty. Everyone working here is very kind and helpful. They offer reservations but one is not normally necessary (at least when I've been here ). The kitchen is very accommodating and can split a meal onto two of you want to share with someone else. Overall, I suggest taking a trip to Due Amici if you're craving some delicious Italian cuisine!

I guess I should have never gotten a hamburger at an Italian establishment. The hamburger was terrible. Absolutely terrible. The bun for the hamburger was cold and dry. The meat fell apart as soon I took a bite. The fries were super soggy and full of grease. The service was super slow. I gave this a two star review due to the fact that the waiter and waitress were very nice. I guess they were doing all they could to serve all of the guests in the restaurant. The restaurant & the bathrooms were very clean. I won't be back. I was disappointed in my meal, I just had high hopes that this would have been a better dining experience.

We've been coming here for years! This place has had its ups and downs and from the reviews it's appears to be a hit or miss. I like that it isn't bursting with crowds (unless you time it right before a big show is about to start in town). Sometimes we've made reservations and other times we just sit at the bar. The service has always been great. And we've never had an issue with our food. It's always delicious to us. We had our wedding reception here 10 years ago in their private room and it was exceptional!

We really enjoyed our meal here. The staff was kind and gracious about accommodating bill splitting since we're on a work trip. I got the chicken parm and absolutely loved it--great portion and flavor. We were brought bread and oil for the table, and the bruschetta we ordered was nice. You can participate in happy hour if you sit in the area close to the bar, and you get half off all starters, glasses of wine, and mules. My Moscow mule was okay, but I did ask for extra like. My only qualm is that this place advertises a patio and says you get to do happy hour if you sit out there, but they've got like 3, 2-person tables, so you can't really sit on the patio if you wanted to have enough room for plates and drinks. The bathroom is also kind of a trip to get to, but very clean once you arrive.

Came to Due Amici during happy hour. It was busy! But we were able to sit outside and enjoy some people watching. Good happy hour deals, but not tons of you're gluten intolerant or vegetarian like me. I did order the Brussels sprouts and they are up there with my favorites now. HUGE Brussels sprouts that were cooked well, nice sauce that's not overpowering. We also ordered the charcuterie board, some nice choices of cheese and meat, but we asked what everything was and the waiter didn't know, said he'd check, never found out. My boyfriend got the meatballs and they were also enormous and he said tasted good. Will definitely be back for another happy hour; maybe not dinner though because of the non gf/veggie options.

    margherita pizza

Stoped by since I had a craving for margherita pizza, and the pizza was pretty good. The mozzarella pairs well with the balsamic(?) that they put on the crusts. However, the prices were a bit atrocious. That small pizza was not worth 20, like maybe 16 at best.. I considered getting a side but there's legitimately nothing under 15 on the menu, dang! Def the type of place you'd want to go out for a fancy date, probably not your casual dinner joint.

Waters were always full and the recommendations were like no other. Ambiance/Atmosphere: inside is a stunning old school bar and dimly lit steakhouse. Truly elegant and beautiful. This is a lovely date night and a special occasion is a must here. Food: 1. Tuna tartare is light and fresh. The tuna is soft and delicate. The avacado is creamy and adds a richness. The sauce is tangy but packed full of umami. Rice chips are light and salty I'd recommend. 7.5 2. Burratta is on crispy toast. The burratta is creamy and smooth. The jam adds a sweetness and the hot honey adds a beautiful spice. The pistachios add a crunch and flavor. I'd recommend. 8 3. Truffle tots aren't all that crispy. But soft and well seasoned. The Parmesan adds a salty nutty flavor. The truffle sauce is rich and creamy with a beautiful truffle flavor that isn't overly done. If they were crispy it would be a 10. I'd insist. 9.5 4. Bread service is alright. The sourdough isn't all that strong with flavor. 4 the chip thing is crunchy with an interesting flavor. Not my personally favorite. 3. The butter is very well whipped and smooth. The butter is really good. Butter makes it 5. Wagyu ribeye is incredible tender. Melts like butter and the tallow butter on top adds an extra layer of richness. It's well seasoned and very lightly as it doesn't need a lot. The beef does all the talking. It touches your tongue and melts away. I'd insist. 10. Dipping the ribeye in the truffle sauce from the tater tots adds an even richer flavor and Creaminess. It's very rich but worth awhile if you enjoy strong flavors 6. Onion strings are soft in a well seasoned and flavored onion strings. Best onion strings I've had although I haven't had many. Very good combo adding the sweetness of the batter with the rich buttery Wagyu 7. NY strip is tender but overly salted. You just taste salt. I wouldn't recommend. 3.5 8. The contender was strong with tequila but pushed the chocolatey coffee flavor strong. The bitter sweetness matched pleasantly for a nice sippable drink during drinner. I'd recommend. 9. Chocolate mousse light and refreshing. Decadent and smooth with. Rich chocolate flavor. Chilled like ice cream and not to sweet. I'd highly recommend. 8.5 10. Key lime pie is custardy and smooth. Rich and creamy. The lime flavor is prominent but not over done. The gram cracker crust is crispy but chewy. Buttery and slightly sweet. Best key lime pie I've ever had. I'd insist 10
