After running me out of oil twice, I let it slide as an oversight. Then I called for emergency service and was told that they were backed up and wouldn't be able to come out and get my heat going. It was 11° out! I had to call another service company to help. My neighbor told me that Hydro will never come out after hours and they will say anything to get the customer off the phone. Just as I found out. He also had the same unloyalty from them and changed companies. I feel this company has lost its drive to provide reliable emergency service when you need it. Hydro has gone seriously downhill since the Owner, Chuck Lamprey passed away. Not good!

Several years ago they introduced a fixed price oil contract and we signed up. Over the years the owner modified the terms of the contract, eventually saying only oil contract customers would receive emergency service in the winter. We complied with the contract and bought the amount of oil it required even though there were contradictions in the wording which enabled them to deliver more oil than agreed to. Last year it was changed again. Only customers who buy all their oil here are on the emergency service list. After 18 years of loyal support and having a system they installed, it was suggested that a failure to buy all oil from them is disloyal. They are not usually competitive on oil prices and often 10 to 15% higher than some other suppliers. It strikes me as unreasonable to be required to buy all my oil from them but the owner clearly does not recognize my loyalty or the value of my business which I have now taken elsewhere.

I had 2 issues that needed attention. 1. I had a leaking toilet that was leaking from the base on every flush. This was my priority fix. 2. I had another toilet that needed replacement. Then I talked to Harry and he gave me an estimate and some toilet options that was reasonable. It was like I hit the lottery. The next day Brenden and Jake were dispatched to my residence. My leaking toilet was just a wax ring replacement as Brenden said the the flange was in pretty good shape. They called it a "Pull and Reset Service". My toilet replacement was a little more complicated. Once they pulled the toilet, they found the metal flange had rusted and deteriorated. They repaired the flange and set the new toilet. Yes, they arrived with the new toilet and took away the old one. I was glad I didn't have to deal with that. These professionals came fully prepared and were very respectful of their surroundings.
