To date; we have spent over $2000.00 on repairs on a system that is less than two years old. Again, we are without the system during the hot days of summer waiting to get it repaired

I knew my System 2000 was on its way out for the past few years. This years' service indicated a leak requiring it to be shut down for fear of carbon monoxide. Being late October with temperatures dropping rapidly, no heat, no hot water and service providers booking out weeks into the future, I was between a rock and a hard place. Fortunately, we've been loyal clients of Atlantic Fuels for decades, and about to find another reason why! Nick, our technician, quickly reported back to Ashton my situation and sizing requirements that day. I spoke with Ashton shortly thereafter and my new BOSCH Buderus with Riello burner was ordered the very next day. Nick, Ashton and Julie reworked their schedule to fit in my emergency replacement. Three days later I was up and running with the best furnace and burner on the market, and an impeccable installation. They even upgraded the heating oil supply line to provide the new unit with the correct flow rate. Julie kept me updated throughout the entire process of appointments and progress. My experience over all these years with Atlantic Fuels has been nothing less than 5 Star. You'd be a fool to trust the most critical system in your home to anyone else!

I happen to be one of those homes. Charlie and his team installed a high efficiency HVAC system in an uninsulated attic which should never have passed inspection being that those systems require double ventilation or an insulated attic. I have been unable to find a reputable company to service this unit in all those years because of parts that were used that have been recalled or the fact that the system does not meet compliance. I have called Charlie Marshall on his personal cell phone many times over the years and have not received a phone call to discuss this matter. Therefore, I find this review to be extremely appropriate to give buyers a buyer. Beware of what you are purchasing and installing in your home since this individual doesn't seem to install things to code. This might be a one off, but Charlie had every opportunity to fix the issue and he did not.

The problem turned out to be a simple pilot light issue, yet their approach made it clear that running up labor charges took priority over taking care of the customer. Communication was poor throughout the process, and when we attempted to call for resolution, the woman who answered the phone hung up on us. As the President of a company that employs a large blue-collar workforce, I understand labor costs--but I also understand honesty, fairness, and professionalism. This company failed on all three fronts. We ultimately called Locher Plumbing, who were professional, communicative, and ethical. They quickly ordered the necessary part, returned for installation, and charged a fraction of what David's Heating and Cooling demanded. Locher proved that doing right by the customer is possible, and they earned our trust and future business. I cannot recommend strongly enough that others avoid David's Heating and Cooling.
