Even if you bring your own gear, they have it so dialed in from the rod size to the reel capacity to the line diameter to the oz & hook sizes! Respectfully leave your gear home. It's worth the $5-$10 to let them do it. Then after you fill your cooler, they gladly clean your catch to your liking (dressed or filleted)

The tick problem is especially concerning. Multiple people in our group ended up covered in ticks after visiting, and several were later diagnosed with Lyme disease. The owner really needs to do a better job maintaining the property and addressing this issue for the safety of guests. The fishing itself was also disappointing. The ponds do not seem to be stocked the way they are advertised. You can spend hours fishing and only get occasional nibbles from very small fish. Despite multiple visits and spending a lot of time on the water, I have yet to see or catch any of the larger fish that are supposedly stocked in these ponds. Overall, between the maintenance issues, the tick infestation, and the lack of quality fishing, I cannot recommend this place and will not be returning.

Public bathrooms are available and opened and cleaned daily. There are 2 massive playgrounds available for all ages. One is located next to the park benches and BBQ puts and the other right behind the ball field. My daughter and I had an amazing time at cedar grove community park. Very clean and safe atmosphere. Parking is plenty. I can imagine weekends it gets crowded but there's overflow parking on your way in. Gorgeous selection of two trails, I usually do both to get some extra steps in. Altogether doing both trails is about 2.5 miles. Tons of beautiful views all around. Very very dog friendly as well. I always see a few dogs on the trail. They also do kayak rentals during the summer which seems super fun. Great spot!

I love how there's so much to do at the park. You can grill, go to the beach, go for a walk and even ride your bike. It's a great time. The beach is small and full of rocks and pebbles. The water was freezing even in the hot weather. The walk towards the water is even worse. There's rocks everywhere you step and can be extremely painful. My sister and I both cut our feet trying to get in and out of the water so I HIGHLY recommend getting some water shoes! My favorite parking lot is the west side only because there's a bathhouse where you can change, use the bathroom and take a shower. Highly recommend to come here for a fun beach day or picnic or grilling. Love love this place!
