It's definitely not a traditional cookie, as it emphasizes the dough over everything else, to the extent that it almost tastes more like a cake than a cookie. But it was pretty fresh and loaded with chocolate chips, so I can't say I didn't enjoy it. I do have a feeling, however, that cookies aren't La Casa Dolce's specialty, so I'm definitely planning on returning some day to try their other offerings.

The new owner is making the donut about twice as big volume-wise. The prices are $3 or $4 (Fritters are $5.50). They also sell boxes of 6 ($20) and of 12 ($36); when including fritters, add +$1.50 each. Their sizes are 200%+ in volume than places like Tim Hortons. The brand was started by a couple in Ottawa around 2016. All their donuts made by hand, without any machines. Every location have their own unique flavours. Everything is baked fresh in the morning and throughout the day. Never sold donut the are a day old. The unique flavours are Churro, Honey Butter Cereal and Peanut Butter Cup. They put real fruit in their donuts, like apple in Apple Fritters, bananas in Banana Fritters, blueberries in Blueberry Fritters. I ordered the following: 1. Honey Butter Cereal ($4.00). 2. Apple Fritter ($5.50). The customer service was really good. The cereal is soaked in honey and butter and then baked. The glaze is the steeped cereal milk. The balance of tastes is good. The Fritter has a very thin layer of glaze. They only drizzle the glaze and then turn on on the size to let any excess to drip off. Even the caramel whipped cream is thicken; they call it a velvet top. Started with cake donuts and now yeast donuts. Yeast donuts can be flavoured whereas cake donuts must be topped or glazed. Tim Hortons are now frozen and shipped to each location, which reduced preparation time and cost. They recently started selling specialty coffees. They also have teas and refrigerated drinks. There are a few tables for indoor dining and an electric fireplace. The seating are is impressively modern. Occasionally there is one table outdoors. There is free WiFi. The restaurant is wheelchair accessible but there is no door-open button. There is one gender-neutral washroom and it is wheelchair accessible. There is free parking in the mall's parking lot. Their cheesecakes were really fluffy and it just melts in your mouth. It was delicious! The mango creamsicle was bomb, very flavorful - I would definitely recommend it. The prices were a bit more though compared to other places like Uncle tetsu. Will most likely be back for more cheesecake the next time I'm in the area.

The love all began waaay back when Yelp had a huge event at the Brampton Library. Supermoon was on site with their cheese tarts and I fell in love with the original flavour. No shade to the chocolate tart, it ain't for me. The original has the perfect crust and oh so cream chessey filling. So good. Their original cheesecake is a strong rival against Uncle Tetsu and really, there isn't much of a difference to me. I like how Supermoon has different monthly flavours. Today I tried the strawberry cheesecake for the first time and it's actually soooo good! It has a great strawberry flavour and you can taste the strawberry and cheesecake flavour equally. So happy I was able to try it. Anyways, if you're a fan of Japanese cheesecake or want to try it for the first time, this is the joint! Plus, it's a store front with plenty of parking. You also go there for the warm ladies who serve you the food and chat with you for a couple of minutes, the elderly people who, you can tell, have gotten into the habit of coming here since a long time for a cup of coffee, and the charming little seating area next to the breads section where you can enjoy your food while soaking in the bakery aromas. This place is like the hobbit land in the middle of the crowd of big brand coffee houses and I want just that sometimes in the middle of the day.
