Eggs Benedict

Fast friendly service. I received prompt service with a hot cup of coffee. I ordered an eggs Benedict for myself. The hollandaise sauce was not the best I've ever had but still good. Even with the volume of people in the diner, the food came out pretty quick. I also placed several items to-go. Those items were also exactly what we ordered. If you're looking for a diner in the local area, I would give this place a try.

Sliced roast turkey

I dined here because I left home without eatIng. It was really hot outside and I needed nourishment. I ordered the sliced roasted turkey. It was really good. The raisin/cranberry in the stuffing was a nice touch as I've never tasted it in stuffing before. Our waitress was personable and hospitable. An older couple and I were the only people dining in there. I have a tip for the made to order food and great service. Please support this business if you are in Stratford or in Fairfield co

Chicken quesadilla wrap, was a lot bigger than it looks, loaded with chicken!

New hours. Only open until 12. I believe that they stop seating at 11:30 or maybe sooner.

Save your money and choose a different diner. Food is extremely average and that is being generous.

This diner is easily a well known diner in Stratford, however you can't find a single take out menu online. Why is it so hard to find one?

My wife and I were both off from work today and decided to go to Breakfast. We live in New Haven…read moreand like to travel out of the city to try new places. Stratford Skillet is amazing. As soon as we pulled into the parking and saw two police officers and at least four to five people from nearby businesses enter we knew we chose the right place. My wife had the cinnamon raisin French toast and I had the same thing I always get so I can make a good comparison (two eggs over easy, hash browns, rye toast, bacon and a side of sausage) Eggs were cooked to perfection, the bacon was just right, the sausage links were some of the best I have had in a long time, the hash browns were made with peppers and onions and were cooked just right The staff gave us the perfect amount of service while not being over the top. The ambiance was one of calm and you could tell the staff was relaxed Upon leaving we said our goodbye and thank you and a gentleman behind the front counter who was speaking with the Stratford Officers stopped for a minute and thanked us and told us to be safe in our travels this morning. I can assume he was the owner and, if so, I can see where his staff gets their training My wife and I felt appreciated in that moment. He and the staff had no idea if we were new in town, people passing through or we came in from a different town they truly made us feel welcome and we will certainly be returning Maybe this upcoming Sunday morning!! P.S. the coffee was excellent also

We ordered the pumpkin pancakes and the biscuits and gravy to share and they were so good and our favorite at the table. My friend and I got the egg salad sandwich on a croissant which sounded amazing but was not tasty. It lacked simple seasonings - that's the only negative. Prices were decent, service was great - we didn't have to wait to sit down, we walked in and looked for our own table... our waitress was friendly and recommended dishes for us to try. I'd def go back next time we are in the area.

Nice retro feel diner with some Mexican flair. The diner has all sorts of 50s memorabilia throughout…read moreand tvs are in black and white. Breakfast is served all day and also offers a hamburger eating challenge . Service was fast and friendly and the restroom was clean. We ordered the Sinatra's breakfast , 2 eggs, 2 bacon, 2 sausage, 2 pancakes or French toast, and a side of grits. Also ordered was the Monte Crisco, ham, turkey, cheese and Swiss on French toast. The Sinatra's breakfast was decent, but the deli sliced meat on the Monte Cristo had been grilled, and the quality and taste were not great. The French toast was too soft; needed more time on grill to brown. The sandwich was also dusted with powdered sugar which for me did not work. Shared parking lot with other business in strip mall style setting.

I tried the chorizo platter with eggs, potatoes, peppers, and onions, which was really tasty with a decent portion. Also noticed more Mexican dishes throughout the menu, for lunch items. The kids ordered milkshakes as usual and were happy. They actually request to come here just because of it. Service was solid as always. Prices are a bit higher compared to White's Diner, and I still think it's wild they charge extra for sprinkles as a topping for their shake, but overall it feels like the place has improved.
