I was on the 4th floor for my post op hip replacement. I had some of the best nurses. Jenni and May were absolutely amazing and so caring. I'm sure I had others but I was dropped half the time and can't remember. I didn't have any bad experience. read more

I gave birth here recently and was very happy with the experience and care I received. The hospital is all about nature and wellness which I loved and was externally relaxing environment to be in during a stressful time. The staff was all super friendly and some were even above and beyond super helpful. The maternity ward has indoor arboretums to walk around in the center of the area which I found to be super cool. The cafeteria was okay with plenty of healthy options. The only thing was when we went to eat outside there was no way to get back in without walking around the hospital to get back to the lobby. Overall, I would recommend Dublin Methodist if you are looking for a delivery hospital. read more

I am a registered nurse therefore, I hope that my review holds value. I see that the hospital currently has an overall low star rating. That said, I have to state that this is not at all what I experienced. Aesthetics are wonderful. The staff was warm and welcoming from the initial interaction at the front desk to the completion of the visit. Every nurse was kind and caring and all the physicians were equally, if not more. Trust me I have had a great number encounters with doctors considering my line of work and this has not been the constant. Lucky to have my nuts.. Went into this place after being falsely diagnosed with cancer.. Being told i needed to have my "boys" removed.. they scheduled me an appointment, but i went to Cleveland, and OSU for second and third opinions. Both said no, not cancer, that it was a calcium deposit. I went for tests for thousands of dollars for over two years, then got hit with a bill.. Ohio Health billed me for the removal surgery., Yet, i never had the surgery.. So who had the surgery??? They billed me for 15k for something i never had.. Not to mention scared me to death.. They required me to come in and prove i was still "intact" in order to remove the billing. You might be better off going to Mexico for a back alley surgery.. read more

I was here at 3:30 in the morning on Saturday. No complaints that day. They put on your paperwork to come back if you are still sick. THEY DO NOT MEAN THIS. The next morning I was so sick I thought I was going to die and I was squaded back there again, crying, shaking, begging someone to help me. Dr King told me I was checked out the day before and I was fine to go home. He put in my notes that I was being difficult and was hard to reason with. I went to Marysville hospital and got checked out. I again I know something is seriously wrong, but they can't figure it out so all they're doing is focusing on the GI issues. Well come to find out I was in SEVERE benzo withdrawal from my doctor changing my medication. I have been at Riverside hospital for the last 3 days hooked up to an IV and a heart monitor, and I am still in here as I write this. The behavior of Dr King that day could have killed me and this man and his arrogance needs to not be practicing medicine. If it was not for Riverside figuring out the problem, I'm pretty sure I would not be here writing this. read more

I was in the ER on 2/13 around 4:45-8:00pm. While waiting, there was a Muslim woman with a hijab who was whimpering in pain for 3 hours. We overheard she was in an accident a few days prior. A nurse with her hair in a ponytail with dark blond highlights approached the woman and tried to help her stand. She couldn't because she was in so much pain. The nurse yelled at her saying "You could stand when you came in, how can you not do it now?" She "helped" the husband put her in the wheelchair as the woman screamed in pain. She actually stood there as she lightly held the woman and talked to a colleague on her walkie. They took her back for vitals where we could still hear her scream from the waiting room. They bring this poor woman back without her hijab and her hair a mess, with her hijab stuffed in her wheelchair. Her husband had to scramble to put it back on. The woman was in pain in and this nurse had no empathy, compassion, or respect for this woman's religion. I am completely disgusted with this behavior, as was everyone in the waiting room. This woman deserved better. You guys need to do better because blatant racism at this point is embarrassing. read more

Had both my children here and by far my first labor and delivery experience was my best. When I delivered my first here everyone was super friendly, caring, polite, understanding and worked with you and not against you. I loved all my L&D nurses in 2022 when i had my first. I recently on 02/16/2024, delivered my 2nd and last baby here and when I say my labor and delivery experience was a total opposite, it definitely was. My nurses put in my chart in the notes things I said outloud word for word with quotation marks, and they didn't seem very helpful with calming me down to help my labor and delivery go well. I even mentioned how outloud I did my labor and delivery all natural as my Mag Drip interfered with my Epidural and tanked my BP and one of my nurses had the audacity to stand with another nurse and say verbatim what I said mocking me in a sense. My L&D nurses had me transfer rooms shortly after birth to another L&D room and had me on a nothing by mouth diet for the first 24 hours in which I wasn't even offered a jello, water, or broth until I spoke up about it and asked. When I got to my postpartum recovery room though - my experience improved as my nurses over there compared to L&D were a lot more compassionate, caring, relaxed, and everything else. They had to get my diet changed to a regular diet, they brought me in snacks as I was clearly able to tolerate a regular diet, and they provided me water since they didn't allow me to have any throughout my entire L&D experience. I loved my nurse Carla in Women & Newborn as she was very informative, very through, very knowledgeable and caring. I also loved my assistant Lolita who hooked me up with the snacks, and helped me feel comfortable during my stay. I swear the woman and newborn unit is by far the best here - however the L&D unit ... not so much. read more

Care was great! Staff very professional and kind! Highly recommend for care but avoid eating the food if possible. It's awful. Breakfast sandwiches are on brioche buns, eggs are tasteless. I had a phenomenal experience with the labor and delivery ward when I had my daughter almost 3 years ago. I love Doctor Jessica Miller! So I thought I could rely on the emergency room for a miscarriage after my OB told me to go for my heavy bleeding. It took 4 tries to get blood drawn and one of my veins blew. I went in for blood loss and left with more blood lost. I ended up leaving after all of my labs were done, ultra sound, etc, but was waiting for results. Why? I have the portal and my OB is like 500 feet away. So they wanted me to sign a refusal to be treated document... that I did refuse because I didn't refuse anything. I also had a nurse come in to give me an IV, after being poked 3 times on the way to the 4th I denied especially because no one could tell me why (not even her), apparently it was for fluids come to find out. Thankfully I was "refused" because the doctor even said to me I don't know why they were trying to give you fluids over blood loss? So 4 hours later this is what I am left with (see pictures) and hopefully my OB can take it from here. ALSO after I said no to the IV the nurse I could hear talking crap after closing my door "she doesn't want me to give her the IV lolololol". I also had a nurse sarcastically say "welcome to the ER" after I said I was poked 4 times for blood. The 4th person was the phlebotomist who was trained and she listened to me about where my blood is usually drawn. I don't know if anything was actually accomplished. I did leave before my prescriptions (prenatal and antibiotic) could be filled, even though they have my pharmacy on file they said something like the doctor had to sign off even though he discussed them with me. If you are having a baby I recommend going (the post delivery menu is THE BEST by the way) BUT if you are going to the ER you'll have better luck dying somewhere. read more

And then everybody in the waiting room does not wanna to sit next to you because you are black African-American. I felt the racism strong in the waiting room. I will never go back here ever again. 5 stars to the staff in the pre-op testing department! I had to go in this morning prior to outpatient surgery next week. I arrived at 7:45 for an 8:00 appointment, and was greeted by the receptionist, then called back by a nurse who handled my vitals. A second nurse went over my records, and a doctor gave me further instructions. All were super nice and personable. I couldn't have had a more pleasant experience. Since they were also so efficient, I was finished by 8:30. Awesome staff! read more

I would give them a zero if I could. over 5 1/2 hours waiting in the ER for severe and worsening abdominal pain. The only response is that they are trying to get a bed for my wife but since there are no beds, apparently no Dr can see her. It seems that hospital beds are required before a Dr vacancy see a patient. Meanwhile, the "care" part of this so-called health care is completely missing from the equation. I wish I didn't have the experience to rate a hospital but my husband had a minor incident last week that brought us to the Dublin ER. I'm so thankful we came to this hospital. To begin, it's new and immaculate. Everything is very nice, there's a cute cafe and gift shop, and you can tell the facilities are equipped with the latest and greatest. All of the staff members were very nice. They kept us updated each step of the way and made sure my husband was getting the best care. They're very personable and easy to talk to. One of the nurses and I even exchanged photos of our dogs. One of the greatest things though? It wasn't overcrowded and we never had to wait around. Everything was quick and my husband was attended to immediately. It was so much appreciated. If we ever get in a bind again, we'll definitely go back to this hospital. read more

Absolutely top notch service for the birth of our child. They are safe, clean and take the process seriously. A lot of the classes and information have moved to the virtual world which was a plus in the lead up to the birth. The food was solid for a hospital throughout the stay. We really enjoyed the large rooms and even a nice bed for the partner! In regards to the food service we enjoyed several visits from Akhtar who always had a smile and was courteous, we really appreciated that! The food staff in total went over the top to make sure our stay was enjoyable and provided nourishment for the crew. The visits from our nurses, doctor, lactation and even a chaplain who provided prayer for our little one were all really nice touches. They sent us off with all kinds of extra supplies and really made us feel good about choosing Dublin Methodist for our pregnancy process. read more

My wife's knee popped and was excruciating pain. Transported by squad to ER. moved her out to ER waiting room where we waited for 4 hours. the place was packed and the attitudes here are beyond the pale. we watched and complained for hours as we sat and she dealt with the pain. the kicker is when we just get placed in an er room four hours later, we pass by open room after open room in the er section. The staff were good people. However, at the ER, I came in at 9am and was admitted then. They checked me out and ran some test. However, I have been waiting for anybody to give me my test results. I'm in the room, waiting to see what's wrong with my body and nobody cares to tell me what's up. The hospital that saved my husband's life. We had spent 7 months trying to get my husband appropriate care for his unexplainable symptoms, and the ER doc here said "Well, you have been half ass treated all over town, lets do it right" and he did. This was the first facility where we were taken seriously. Tests were run, procedures done hours before they were scheduled, the rooms were clean and comfortable, the staff was caring and attentive, and the staff cared for me as his advocate as much as they cared for my husband. They diagnosed by husband within days and started the treatment that returned him to his pre-illness self and provided the guidance for lifelong care. We had to be transferred to Riverside for some of his treatment and they handled this flawlessly, only issues were the delays from the transport company and waiting on Riverside to have space for us. Meghan, Joe, Rhonda, and the rest were all amazing! read more

My daughter went to the emergency room with an abdominal migrane. She was vomiting every few minutes. They gave her a bag and she waited for 3 1/2 hours, and was never seen. I was appalled at the treatment she received. I would recommend staying away from this place, as they obviously do not care about their patients. read more

For Adults Dublin Methodist is a good choice for children with mental health issues - not at all. This Summer my 13 year old tried to hang himself. We had been advised by one of his counselors that in an extreme event like that - Dublin Methodist would be a good choice. The counselor had done work there from time to time. So we raced up to Dublin Methodist to the Emergency Room. My wife got checked in and explained everything to the trauma nurse. After a half hour or so my son and wife were checked into a waiting area. The psychologist was paged and they waited...and waited...and waited. After a few hours someone came in and did bloodwork on my son - why? We don't know. My wife and son were told that the psychologist was busy with another patient. So we waited some more...and waited. After eight hours, the psychologist called and said they were going on shift and leaving and that another psychologist would come on duty and call them. A while after that - one did call, and talked to my son for about five minutes. Then talked to my wife and explained that she didn't see any issue with discharging him and sent my wife and son home. The next morning we had an appointment with one of our son's counselors - who flipped out at what had happened. She had us call the Children's Hospital psych line. The Psych nurse told us to get in the car with my son - to go Children's Hospital: do not pass Go, collect $200 dollars, just jump in the car and get to Children's Hospital Intake. She was dumbfounded at Dublin Methodist's hands-off approach. Within 10 minutes of arriving at Children's Hospital we were checked in and being evaluated by a psychologist. And not long after that - my son was booked for a 3 day intensive in-hospital therapy and counseling. I believe this saved his life. The period right after a suicide attempt is the most critical for preventing a second attempt. Any psychologist worth their salt will tell you that. Children's Hospital was aghast at the lack of treatment at Dublin Methodist, as were we. The difference between the two hospitals could not have been more stark. In addition - we received a bill from Dublin for a few thousand dollars a few weeks later for my son's "treatment." And when we appealed the decision - surprise - the hospital ruled against us citing, "adequate and appropriate treatment was given. I choose to deliver at Dublin Methodist Hospital after having a tough second trimester loss at Riverside Hospital the year prior. I needed to be in a new environment to deliver my son and their team was beyond exceptional. My induction was over 16 hours and those nurses are the true rockstars of delivering babies!! My OB Dr Orwick came in at 1am to deliver my son towards the end of my induction. It was the best feeling seeing her walk into our delivery room and know the time had come for my son to arrive. I can't say enough about the delivery and postpartum team at Dublin Methodist. They truly care about you and want to ensure you have the safest & healthiest delivery. I will never forget finally getting my first meal after a long delivery! Also the nurse who comes around to check the Moms Vitals is amazing!! She rubbed my back and calmed me down - I wish she was there for all my appointments with my high blood pressure during pregnancy. I am forever grateful for their entire team. read more

I delivered my twins here in April of 2019. *Wonderful, caring staff and nurses eased my fears, held my hand, supported me, took care of me, and treated myself, my husband and my babies like their own family. I wish I could articulate how amazing the nurses were. 34+ hours of labor and a 7 day hospital stay, I had many different people taking care of me. Both day and night nurses, along with several different doctors. Every. Single. Nurse. was incredible to us and treated us with respect. Even after my girls were born, many of the labor + delivery nurses stopped by our room in the maternity ward, to check on us and see how we were doing. It's so obvious these women truly care and love their job. I've never had a nurse hold my hand, give me a hug, or cheer me on the way these nurses did. *Excellent room service/food options. Waffles, pancakes, yogurt, oatmeal, fresh fruit. Build your own omelet and sandwhich options. But ,I want to thank him! for the first time I did not feel judged when I said my back hurts! This doctor performed x-rays ask me multiple questions and then a young lady nurse by the name of Angie came in and gave me some pain medication within a few minutes the pain was pretty much gone! I want to sync this doctor for still believing some people truly have pain and medication does work! I have received excellent care and have been treated with respect until tonight. The nurse I have I feel he's judgemental saying I am on to much medication at home. He doesn't have any clue what I have been thru in the last 20 + years. Maybe he should have something happen to him, like being cut open, and be given just Tylenol. Maybe then he would understand and not judge others. I'm afraid to ask for anything, from him, and won't even tell him my true pain level. Is this really a hospital? I walked in here to visit my grandma today (she'll be fine btw) and I felt like I was walking into a 4 star hotel. Seriously. When you walk in, you walk into an expansive beautiful atrium. To the right is a nice gift shop, not a small cramped gift shop but one that would make any gift shop owner proud. Next to it? A restaurant. I didn't go into it but I want to check it out sometime as it was so cool looking. There's a waterfall in the atrium of this hospital folks. The whole place is soooo nice. I want to go there. I want to stay in this hospital. Yes, I said it. I hope I don't have to but if I did, this is where I want to go. It doesn't have that depressing feeling other hospitals have. It's bright, cheery, with gardens and sculptures, both mobile and illuminated. And you know what? It has colors, it's not sterile white or eggshell, there are colours in this place with glass, metal, stone, and artwork around. My Grandma's room is a private room, think hospital bed in a hotel room and you've got where she is. From her room you can see a garden and a huge mobile of metallic birds floating around and around above a small courtyard. The staff I encountered were all and I mean all were very friendly. They joked around with her, me and my uncle. My grandma said that there were a few people that were not particularly nice but the other 99 out of a hundred were so kind and sympathetic and made her feel that they really cared about her situation. Her only real "complaint" was the food. Not too good but she did say the Grilled Chicken Sandwich with Cole Slaw was pretty good.....the rest as she said "was crap". My grandma doesn't munch words folks. Also, in closing, when my uncle and I were leaving.....did the employees give us a bored, surly look like I would expect? No, the woman and the security guard at the check in stand both smiled and wished us a good evening. WOW!!!! As a visitor, 5 stars. read more

Nobody enjoys having to go to a hospital. Most prefer to avoid the hospital. I am no different. I have had multiple occasions to use and visit the facilities here. This place is my "go to" hospital should I need them. Everyone I have encountered has upheld my confidence in them. I have gone here for medical tests. I have been in the ER and taken others for ER services. I have also had surgery here. Each time I have been here, the staff have demonstrated a high level of professionalism and attention to my needs. When you first walk in the front door, there is a person who greets you to inquire about your visit. They have either directed and even escorted me to where I was going. When I went for surgery, they knew I was coming. Each time I have worked with hospital staff, such as registration or for nursing services, I have felt that my personal medical information was handled privately and in confidence. I've been to other hospitals when folks were in need of the ER. You seem to wait around for hours, whether in the waiting room or in a patient room. At DMH, the ER staff have been very quick to act, perform an appropriate level of triage, maintain a professional attitude and demonstrate genuine concern about patient care. They've kept me posted on the status of what was happening with the care being received. The attention I have received each time has consistently been the best, from admissions through each of the services I've received. The hospital is affiliated and linked with other Ohio Health facilities in the Central Ohio area. All patient rooms are private rooms. I know when I am not feeling well that having my space is important. From ER, to surgery prep & recovery to an overnight stay, each room was private. The overnight room was very comfortable and roomy enough for a couple visitors to feel comfortable. There have already been many comments about the facilities, but I will add that they are very much state of the art here. Plenty of free parking space is available here. As for billing and filing of insurance claims, I have never had a problem. Everything always went smoothly for me. I was a bit nervous about prices thinking this place would be much more expensive, but whenever I have received bills they were not outrageous for the medical services provided. I don't wish going to the hospital on any one. It is quite reassuring to know that DMH is there and has my back in the event that I should ever need them again in the future. read more

Yeah, I have one word for DMH .............. WOW!! My boyfriend (now husband) and I went to the hospital in the summer of 2008 and was blown away of how beautiful the place is. First of all, my bf was having some problems and I took him to the ER. We didnt have to wait forever to get in, they took his information and next thing you know is that he is being helped by a nurse and not too long after that, a doctor. We were probably in and out of there in about an hour. Later that summer, my bf had umbillical hernia surgery and they were great there too. They quickly checked him in in no time flat. I hung out in the waiting room with his parents and the receptionists kept us in the loop on the progress of his surgery. The COOLEST thing about the waiting room is that they have a huge screen tv that you can look at to see the progress of the patients check-in and surgery. Pretty cool!!! Ohio Health definitely has the greatest hospitals here in the Columbus area. read more

Little waiting, lots of sympathy and explanation, and a pleasant environment made things a lot easier. Just went back for a test, and again the staff was great, the place itself was nice (helps to be new,) and when the test took longer than expected they gave me a gift certificate for the little restaurant (which , while tiny, had decent food for a hospital.) I went for a transvaginal ultrasound. the prescribing doctor wanted it as a stat lab. the twch doing my ultrasound took over an hour to do my ultrasound. That's fine. She was thorough. But 2 days later my doctor has yet to get these results from a stat lab. this is for fertility issues. I'm sorry. But if you've never dealt woth these type of issues, it is a time sensitive matter. I had the opportunity to first tour this hospital prior to its grand opening. I used to work for one of their major medical supply companies so it was wonderful to see a brand new hospital being added to the Dublin area at that time. Now I am even more impressed. I got to witness their service and not just get the tour of the facility but talk with the doctors and nurses who work there. What brought me here? My husband was not feeling well last night while I was in my temple, I get a very urgent telephone call to come home. So I take the call and I know God would forgive me for doing this. I go out to a private area to talk and tell my husband I will drive him out to the ER. We get to the emergency room around 8 ish and he's just feeling miserable and hadn't eaten dinner or anything. We wait about 3 hours until we find out at the ER his radiology scans were worse than we thought. We initially thought it was just a kidney stone but then it turned into something bigger. The nurse comes running into the room and says sorry to relay the bad news but you will be here all night because you have appendicitis. Poor guy just wants to go home and get a good meal, instead they take him from the ER to the 3rd floor and keep him there all night until 6 AM when he finally is admitted into the surgery room. I meet with his doctor and the guy was like this is very common and I actually had another guy here the other night with that exact same thing. So of course they are running a special on guys with appendicitis. The surgery only lasted for about 40 minutes which was not too bad. We get back to the third floor after his surgery was done and of course I got a bite to eat because well I was famished. I only slept for about 3-4 hours until I was called into the surgery this morning. Needless to say, the process went very smooth and the staff were all great from the nurses at the ER to the third floor. read more
