She is a career dancer, so it's not like other places where a fitness instructor just takes a few certification classes. Because of her experience, she is great at explaining how to move and hold your body and how to correct your form. With a maximum class size of 5 - 6, you will have as close to personal training as you can get. The space itself is also top notch. The whole gym has a luxe feel and the studio is small but airy and bright. Between the nice facilities and unique classes, they offer a lot that you won't find anywhere else.

To be…read morehonest, I'm not sure it's something they actively seek clients for, but since I live a block away and work from home it worked out well. I can tell this gym is focused on personal training and from the reviews looks like 5 stars there as well. But back to the part-time membership - worth every penny. Because they are a personal training gym, we usually always had the place to ourselves which I ended up really, really liking. When I was in fantastic shape, going to the regular gym was nothing, but when you've got some extra pounds to shed, having a nearly private space was amazing. I was concerned that because it was a personal training gym a trainer would eventually come up and try to sell me on some sessions, but that didn't happen. Unlike larger gyms I've been to! Also because they are personal training, you have just about every piece of free-weight/aerobic equipment that you could want, along with several machines - again at your disposal, no worrying about waiting for them. They also offer classes that look fun. Finally you CANNOT, I repeat cannot beat the atmosphere here. It is really cool inside, extremely clean, set-up well (2 floors), modern and the staff/owners are so friendly and pretty much mind their clients and not your presence. In conclusion, the weekday membership is not for everyone, but if you can swing it, it's worth it!

Jack Hammond and I regularly met throughout the week for 60-minute training sessions. I can't emphasize this enough-- his enthusiasm, encouragement, and overall knowledge about training undoubtably helped me achieve my goals. Not only did he constantly challenge and push me to improve and train harder; but he did so with a positive attitude. Obviously just by looking at Jack, you'll be able to tell he knows a thing or two about fitness and lifting (the guy is ~~ripped~~), but what sets Jack apart from the other "bro-science" personal trainers, is that he is ACE-certified, has a bachelor's degree in kinesiology, and also has experience with college athletics. His overall understanding about fitness is all backed by his years of experience + knowledge about science-based explanations ... now I don't know about you, but I don't think I could have asked for a more qualified trainer. Due to personal obligations and a career change, I'm no longer able to train at Method as regularly. The good news is that I'll always be able to keep the lessons I've been taught on proper form, correct movements, acceptable adjustments, and lastly-- my higher and improved self-esteem.

Looking for a gym experience that is shepherded by a highly-skilled trainer, perfectly aligned with…read moreyour fitness goals, and not steeped in testosterone? Look no further! I love Method's take on fitness: they recognize that everyone has a different fitness journey, that fitness goals vary, and that getting healthy is a process. By working with Adam and Nigel, I've learned that changing my body composition and dietary discipline has to be habitual, and that success is related to consistency. They've also taught me there is no magic pill, no fantasy workout, no fancy sweatmore sweatpants that are gonna burn my fat, lift my butt, and sculpt my arms; only my hard work will achieve those things. And that the hard work is WAY worth it. With Adam and Nigel's guidance, my weekly workouts have progressed hugely over time. I've dropped weight, changed my body composition, increased my cardio capability, and am strong as hell. Worried about Method being way too bro-tastic for your tastes? No worries there. Amahl, the owner, does an incredible job curating a team of trainers that is dedicated to a healthful lifestyle and are super fit themselves, but somehow lack the macho-man-cool-story-bro gene. Worried about Method not being hardcore enough for you? No worries there, either. These trainers are SERIOUS. I see some of the trainers' personal workouts while I'm coming and going in the space - and their strength, ability, stamina, and discipline AMAZE me. Super inspirational. Couple other plusses: the space is clean and beautiful, parking is easy peasy, there are always fresh towels to wipe your brow, and spring water is provided to quench your thirst. In short, integrating Method into your fitness routine is nothing but a good thing. You'll get where you want to go faster, with better knowledge, and with great guidance.

Since my initial orientation with him, he heard my needs; why I needed a personal trainer and what my goals were. I have accountability issues when it comes to exercise, hence I realized I needed a trainer that just doesn't let me off the hook easily and doesn't make me do routine workouts ( threadmills, the same boring things over and over, etc.) I have yet to repeat any of my workouts with Scott. They never are boring. He is a motivator but not a drill Sargent, he manages to keep my mind busy and 60 minutes fly by. He also gives his clients his undivided attention IN HIS OWN PERSONAL GYM...where you can focus on your goals free from distractions you have a public gyms. I work out with Scott 3 times a week in his very clean, very organized private gym. If you are looking for a personal trainer that actual cares about health/wellness/fitness and his clients. Look no further. I am very lucky to have found him. A hidden gem for sure and I hope to continue my personal training adventure with Scott for as long as my mind and body will allow. It has made a major impact in my life for the good!

I came to her at my heaviest weight, unconfident and feeling the worst about my body. I knew I needed a change! Over the past year she has kicked my butt and whipped me into shape! She pushes you through even when you want to give up because she sees the potential in someone and she won't give up on you! She has not only helped me lose 30lbs and change my body in so many ways but she has also given me so much self confidence and made me feel so strong. I never thought I would look at a progress photo and see what I see. I still have lots more work to do but I can't imagine doing it with anyone else. What I do know is that it feels good when I move my body in a healthy way. And there is no better place to do that than at Body Soul Personal Training. Eddie Fleury has been my Body Soul personal trainer since February, and it helps to have someone in my corner. I wasn't sure I'd like having a personal trainer. It seemed like a luxury, and I often wondered if I could afford it, if I was worth it, or if I'd see any progress. Today I can say without a doubt that this is the best gift I could have given to myself. I have developed an incredible rapport and trust with Eddie. We work as a team. Each session, Eddie gently adds something new to increase the duration or intensity. So gradually I am building upon what I did the week before. He calls them "progressions." The empirical data show that I have lost weight, inches and body fat; I have gained strength, endurance and flexibility. What is critical, however, is that I have gained more confidence, which cannot be measured with scales and charts. My skin is glowing, my clothes fit better, I am standing taller and I am setting a good example for my family. I am at peace with my body, my age, my abilities, my strengths and my life. Becoming the best version of myself: Strong. Confident. Secure. Powerful. Hopeful. Satisfied. Blessed. Here's to feeling healthy, staying fit and loving life! Here's to Body Soul!

From the outside, it can be a bit intimidating since it's all dark. But when you walk in, you realize that the all black aesthetic makes it look very classy and clean. On the right hand side, the wall says, "Culture Builds Community;" but it's not just a belief. The couple who runs the business, Pam and Jason, are very intentional in bringing the belief to life. In my first week there, I felt very welcome, and part of the group. They do a good job of creating tough, but fun workouts that work the entire body. I am someone who likes working out with others to feel motivated, and I am also someone who is most productive when I am not doing the same thing for too long. Each class follows the same structure where there are about 6-8 stations, each lasting about 5 minutes each. Each workout is very different, and there is always great music playing in the background. Before starting, they go through each workout and during the class, go around and make any corrections in your form which is very helpful in avoiding injuries / maximizing gain. There is a bathroom, but sadly no bubbler (or water fountain if you aren't a Rhode Islander). But, to make up for it, they do have a dog that roams around the gym. She is the cutest, but I am envious of her when she is relaxing while we're all sweating. Currently, their unlimited pass is $125/mo., 10 classes is $165, or single drop-in classes are $20 each. From what I have observed, they do offer personal training, but it might be more expensive. I would highly recommend giving them a try
