I have been working out at this gym for a bit over a year now... Maybe closer to a year and a half…read moreand I am shocked at the stars that this gym has. 2 stars is much too low. I have had a very positive experience here, one of the first days I work out here on my was very cheerfully greeted by a number of the staff and it hasn't changed since. The trainers, aside from one who seems to be friendly with everyone aside from me, are very nice and welcoming. In the time that I have been here there has only been one piece of equipment that broke and it was fixed within a few weeks . Members will chat a little bit if you want to but will also leave you be to do your work out if you're not the type of person to jib jab at the gym. The only thing keeping me from rating the gym five stars is that while there is plenty of equipment to do whatever workouts you want to, it is still a limited selection and the parking situation is not great. I have never had to park in a completely different location, but sometimes getting parking in the industrial complex is a bit of a hassle.

This place only gets 2 stars based on the variety of equipment they have, other than that it…read moredeserves nothing more. I was a member for 8 years. And the only reason I stayed that long was because of my personal anxiety with change lol. This place is not clean, never really has been. The showers are gross, the toilets are gross, there is mold forming on the ceiling tiles in the Men's locker room so it has to be in other places. There are two water fountains (even though one has been out of order for two years now... COME ON GUYS!!). The benches and machines take a much longer than acceptable time to repair...some of the treadmills haven't been fully operational (incline and decline options) in at least 2/3 years...I am not exaggerating this. The parking is just not great at all...and will be pretty confusing to any new member. The rate has gone up from $10 to $15 to currently $25 for me in which I was grandfathered in to those rates (it's $40 a month now for new people). You would think with the rate increases the place and its conditions would improve but they have steadily gone downhill. Do yourself a favor and shop around before you decide on this place. I get it, it is just a gym... but this place is not clean like other facilities I have been to... not even in the same realm as sanitary and clean. The last straw for me was when I walked in one day and the 2 toilet stalls in the Men's locker room were out of order... as far as I am concerned you shouldn't even open the place if that's the case. Literally no where you could go if you had an emergency number 2. Don't let change keep any of you existing members from leaving like I have.

She is stronger and more confident and have already started to see improvements on the basketball court. Her footwork is quicker, and overall agility and balance on the court have improved. The coaches, specifically Lexi and Katie have done a fantastic job tailoring workouts to support sport-specific goals.... Excited to carry this momentum into the upcoming season! Highly recommend Olympia for any young athlete looking to elevate their skills.

Excellent people Great facility…read moreSuccessful results I found Olympia on Yelp and decided to give them a call about what they offered and how I could get involved. At the time, fitness coach Pat Sturdahl was who picked up the phone, and about six solid months later, Pat's still my coach. Their services touch on a variety of needs. They partner with Restore RI physical therapy (same building), so they can do corrective/rehabilitative work. They help people concentrate on specific regimens for individual sports. They can tailor workouts for any individual goal you have. They have several classes for different fitness levels. They even offer a firefighter exam course. I've seen people from teens to their 60s working out on their own programs. The facility offers a little bit of everything, from free weights to tension bands, and kettle bells to Assault AirBikes, all in a utilitarian facility - there's a little something for virtually anything you'd want to train. Bonus points that the music always seems to fit whatever's going on. Everyone I've met at Olympia has been friendly, but special shout-out to Pat, who is both laid-back and a highly capable teacher of form and function - he's been exceptional to work with. Olympia is is nestled back on Worthington Street, but well worth seeking out - highly recommended.
