Extremely impressed!!! This company will take you back in time with the level of phenomenal customer service they offer. Dtown Tech is truly amazing. My 4.5 year old Mac that was extremely beat up after 3 kids heavily used it, died on me one day. I was devastated thinking I lost that many years of pictures. I first called an authorized Apple dealer and they wanted close to $1,000 just to get the data off my MAC. Not even to fix it!!!! Dtown Tech took my computer in right away with no diagnostic fee and completely revamped the operating system, hard drive, and took the malware/junk off the MAC. In addition, they replaced the broken screen, and transferred the data/pictures off of two old laptops sitting my garage. I also had an issue where my wedding picture CD had become scratched, and I was unable to view the pictures. They also got all my wedding pictures off, and placed everything on my MAC. Well worth the reasonable pricing system they have. Truly worth every penny. Also, I used a link they emailed me to purchase a new hardrive through Amazon that will serve as a backup plugged in to my Apple port. The owner?? or someone that works there even offered to show me how to set it up when it comes in. The customer service is unbeatable and they are super honest and friendly. I initially emailed Dtown Tech and a few other places about replacing a fan that had died on my Dell laptop. All but one of the other places replied that they are not equipped to handle hardware issues. Fair enough, but if they can only handle software problems, why call themselves computer repair places? I brought it in the next day. In my case, the part had to be ordered, which was to be expected, and a weekend was upcoming, so they'd have it for a few days. That didn't bother me, because I had an older laptop I could use in the meantime that still worked fine -- marginally slower than the box I brought in for repair, but still pretty fast. John did the repair. The cost was quoted before I left it with them, was remarkably reasonable, and was a firm quote. The quote was what I paid. "Ol' Faithful" is back in business, and hasn't run "hot" since I got it back, not even when I use it for 12+ hours a day. These guys are great! read more

Would not recommend these guys for anything more than simple repairs. Brought my computer in for graphics card and or motherboard repair. Dropped it off and they were unable to duplicate issue so they couldn't fix computer. Was told by Justin to take a video of it happening to help solve issue. Also was told "I can't sit around and watch your computer all day for it to act up, were too busy." ... Oh sorry for taking up your time guys my mistake, thought you were there to fix computer not fix simple issues. Sent the videos when computer was acting up and never got any email back from them. Poor customer service. So I took my computer to Barley who is right is doylestown also at Centralbuckscomputer. He was able to diagnose the issue and kept in email contact with me the whole time. He wanted the business and wasn't going to charge me to dig further into finding the problem like dtown tech was. .. read more

D-Town Tech is an excellent place to get a repair done. Blake and his associate diagnosed and treated the problem I was having with my iMac very quickly and I had my computer back within 2.5 hours! Their rates are reasonable, and I'd even go so far as to say cheap. The work is of high quality. Also, they realize that when people come in with a needed tech repair, they are often anxious and feel like they may have done something wrong. They put me at ease over the phone prior to me even bringing the iMac in, so I immediately felt less worried. They are VERY knowledgeable, work fastidiously to get your property back to you, and and also very funny and laid back. I didn't feel like I was leaving my iMac with two one-dimensional people who weren't listening. I felt like they were able to handle the problem and think clearly through it. I brought my iPhone 4S in because the screen was no longer illuminated. One of our furry friends decided to cough up a hairball on my iPhone of all places. I will spare you the details but apparently some of the liquid seeped into the phone and caused the screen to malfunction. I had read the excellent reviews about Dtown and decided to bring the phone in. Blake opened up the phone while I waited, cleaned some corroded contacts and re attached the screen. Worked perfectly!! He put the phone back together just as quickly and it was working like new. I was in and out of his store in under 10 minutes!! Did I mention he would not take my money?? Thats correct, he did not accept a payment. All he asked for is that I consider bring my future business his way and recommend him to my friends and colleagues. Simply the best. Superb on every level. I have a 2010 MacBook Pro, 4GB, love it but getting slow and full. My goal was to get better performance and increase storage. I needed to make a decision about investing in upgrades and risks to investment or to just get a new mac...I researched options and decided to pursue upgrade....I reviewed IT services and Dtown had the best reviews so I called them, drove an hour to get there, decided on upgrade...1t6 solid state hard drive, 8gb ram upgrade and haven't looked back....Blake is pretty amazing...Everything transferred, upgraded and even more in super fast time frame. Wow! Tech know-how combined with old-fashioned customer service ... Blake and Tony made my day! First, they seemed happy to help even though I brought them the most frustrating of issues: the intermittent problem. They explained what they would do and then checked out my laptop thoroughly. Diagnosis is free! They suggested a work-around for the problem so I don't have to buy a new computer. I also brought in a 2nd old notebook computer which they cleaned out, reloaded and returned "better than new" they said, and I agree. When I walked in it was clean, smelled good and very welcoming. Blake was behind the counter and with in 3 steps through the door he asked how he could help! He explained what the possible issues could be. With in 3 minutes he fixed my iPhone 5. It was a network settings issue. Secondly he researched of my phone was eligible for a recall on my top button. It was! I have been living for 18 months thinking it was my fault my button didn't work. Thank you Blake for being so knowledgable, professional and polite! I stopped by to see Blake today to rid my 2008 MacBook Pro of an annoying browser hijacker. I was once again astonished by how quickly he kicked the unwanted parasite out of my computer. Blake is amazing. He is the antithesis of the stereotypical computer expert (e.g., as portrayed on SNL) whose disdain for anyone who doesn't know JavaScript from Jabba the Hutt is palpable. He is saint-like in his patience with oldsters like me, who think Unix is a dark semi-precious gemstone. He truly is a precious resource. Why would ANYONE take a computer issue to ANYONE else? Blake and his assistant Tony are not only geniuses about computers (and smart phones), but they are totally local, so they are going to take care of your stuff AND care about their service toward you. Soon after I had my laptop emergency rescued by them last month, I saw Tony at a coffee shop in town. He asked how the repair was working for me, and they offered to help me or fix any lingering problems - with absolute sincerity. Dtown Tech is hands down the best service - friendly, very knowledgeable and prices are very fair! I had a Dell desktop that was having issues, left it for diagnosis and they let me know the fix was more than the computer was worth. When John told me they could build a desktop for a reasonable price, I was willing to give it a try. They transferred all my data to the new desktop, it was easy to plug everything in and worked smoothly at the start. I was having no success at getting my PC desktop to produce anything on my monitor. After wasting a week with the on-line support from Dell and HP, I found these guys were local. Left my PC with Taylor there for 2 days, and was very pleased to hear he would simply replace the hard drive for a modest fee, and voila! ...I had my computer back with no data lost other than Word, (which I can recover) and it runs better and faster than ever. The guys at dtown are super knowledgeable and honest to boot. I went there with my imac to buy some RAM (I'd already bought some at Best Buy that wasn't working). They instantly knew what was wrong, and although they didn't have the right RAM in stock, they directed me to an online source where I could get it myself. Tech support can be a frustrating experience, but Dtown is not. I prefer competent experts. I was encouraged to go to Dtown when my hard drive failed. Ultimately the situation was too serious and they recommended a specialist trained in data recovery. There was no charge for the evaluation and the recommendation was a lifesaver. The specialist fully recovered my data from a completely failed hard drive. I will return to Dtown in a heartbeat if I need tech services again. read more

They built this computer for me about ten years ago at a great price and it's still a powerhouse. They've up graded over the years very reasonably. They are as good as it gets. Honest, friendly, quick service. I have an almost 8 yr old iMac. dtown tech asked what I needed and they delivered it promptly and in a professional manner.
