I had…read morepreviously had my family dog for 15 years and about 2 1/2 years after she had passed my friend at work happened to send me a picture of an adorable Shar-Pei mix from One Tail at a Time that needed a home (Meri was her adoption name). While I was not "looking" for a dog, I have always been an avid animal lover and once I saw that picture I couldn't help but look into the rescue more and this puppy !! Needless to say, the staff at One Tail was informative, helpful, and amazing with their animals. Their adoption process is detailed and may take a few days longer than others, but it is due to the fact that they research and make sure each dog goes to a great and well fitting family. I was impressed that when they asked for references they actually followed-up with each one I gave!!! Which to me means not only did I take the time & put my heart into this process but they did as well! Once I received word that my application was accepted they scheduled the pick-up at a local pet-store. When I arrived they had informed me that my pup unfortunately needed to stop by the vet first since she wasn't feeling well that morning. While I was a little sad I had to wait a couple extra hours to get my little puppy home, I was so happy they took the time to make sure she was happy and healthy before sending her home! And they even offered to keep her an extra couple days at no extra cost to make sure she was ALL SET, I did however take her home that afternoon and she has been an amazing addition to my house ever since!! (for the past year :) ) One Tail is a great organization and the volunteers and employees really care about the animals they are placing, it's not just a first-come first-served situation. Great Experience overall and I would recommend (and have) using them for anyone or any family searching for a new furry addition to their home!!

I was SO impressed with everything from the application process through bringing her home but I am most grateful for the thoughtful placement. We really did search and search. We needed the perfect dog who would love our kids but also not drive our blind pug crazy. The descriptions of Freya and thoughtful back and forth when I started the application process described her so clearly and perfectly. She really is the best dog and the best fit for our family and now four years later I am still so grateful to this organization for their help to bring our girl home. Thank you thank you thank you from one very happy and grateful family.

Junior was incorrigible terrible on a leash dog aggressive we took him here & met Mike Citro the owner & trainer we were hoping for the best but honestly didn't expect much as we had brought him other places with absolutely no results. 1 on 1 training day care twice a week then classes he was a new dog. He went from tearing our arms off on the leash to being a good citizen dog Mike was like the dog whisperer for us. Now our 2nd is Dritte he went last week for a meet & greet & tonight for our 1st 1 on 1 session & between what he taught us @ meet & greet & tonight's session we've already seen results. Mike knows his stuff he basically trains us & the dog. Dritte loved class & will be @ daycare tomorrow we're gonna do same formula as with Junior except much earlier as Dritte is a little over 5 months old & Junior was 2 1/2 years old due to wasting time & money on useless trainers. I couldn't recommend Mike Citro & Bay State Canine any higher I'd give 10 stars if I could he saved our Junior & I can't wait for Dritte to learn also.

I asked for them to please not shave my dog because i want to keep him hair longer for winter. Later i then called to ask how much longer he would be there because it was his 2nd time at this new place and i dropped him off at 10:30AM and it was now 2PM...they started raising their voice at me saying they need another 2-3 hours and I asked how come since he had already been there for so long. They continued to give me attitude and tell me they're busy and things change on a day to day basis (which i understand considering everywhere is like this due to Covid) but you NEVER should speak to someone like this. I told them i didn't appreciate their tone with me when all i asked was how much longer because being at the groomers is very stressful for dogs and he had already been there for over 3 hours probably in the crate. She then told me that they hadn't even started working on him yet... so finally i said just leave him don't start cutting him and I'll come pick him up and take my business elsewhere. When i get there there's another customer standing there and you guessed it..a complete change in attitude, greeting me and saying hi are you here to pick up so and so? I'm like yes...and i look at my dog and they SHAVED HIM!! And didn't even finish apparently because they told me they didn't even start on him yet? So they lied and decided to shave him....he's completely butchered. I took my dog and walked out. His hair is all uneven on his back in different lengths and they chopped his face all messy and half cut his little legs. Do not go to this place!! I'm never one to be a Karen but seriously I am mortified on how they spoke to me considering i am a young woman being 22 years old i was in utter shock how disrespectful they were especially in these crazy times kindness goes a long way and this place DEFINITELY isn't it.

Pet Express - They get their dogs from puppy mills. I will never see my innocent little puppy again & it breaks my heart.

The puppy was very sick when we brought him home, we've spent over $1200 so far on vet bills. After learning more about this puppy mill operation it makes sense that he came home sick. Will be dedicated to shutting ALL PUPPY MILLS DOWN.

We first purchased Chief in September 2014 and the day we brought him home he wouldn't stop coughing, and he had diarrhea, among other things. We brought him to the vet and after $1,000 vet bill he was much better. November 2014 rolls around and we get an email from pet express highlighting the new dogs that are at the store and immediately notice another Shiba. We instantly had to go see if she was sick and if she was related to our first Shiba. Of course I noticed her coughing immediately and while we were playing with her we asked them to see her papers. Same fake "breeder" name and they also provide you with a family tree that our current dog was on, he was her uncle. How does an uncle and niece end up being two months apart????? Anyways we purchased her on the spot, picked her up the next AM and immediately took her to the vet. Same issues and same vet bill. One thing the dogs do come with is some type of warranty within the first 7 days or something that you can get your vet bills paid, I ended up getting reimbursed for most of the cost of their initial vet bills - but it took months. I don't support pet express and the horror show they put these puppies through. If you have a chance take a ride by the Lynn store to see all the grown puppies in cages that no one buys from the other stores. It's sad. I did however find the two loves of my life who have ended up being amazing.
