My massage therapist was Alissa she is awesome and thorough, I believe she said she had almost or around 10 years of experience. She listened to my needs, focused on my problem areas, checked in on my comfort level and I left feeling relaxed and with less muscle tighness. I will definitely be back for a visit . My nail tech Unnida did a great job, had a sunny disposition and she's just a delight to chat with. I love the pedicure studio! It is private from the rest of the spa and very sanitary. I love that they off sanitary and natural pedicures and manicures. DSM doesn't feel like a stuffy spa at all, it feels like you are getting services from your friends in a beautiful atmosphere. Front desk manager Britney has helped me change appointments, answered all my questions and has given me great recommendations on staff and services. I have yet to get any hair services done at DSM mostly because I already have a stylist. I have friends that exclusively visit DSM and only have good things to say. The spa in conveniently located at the Shops at Roosevelt and there is a huge back parking lot. I think prices should be discussed earlier in consultation. It's heart breaking to see someone walk in so excited. And to have the stylist work on the hair and get it the person hope sky high. Then watch there heart break after hearing such a high price. It's a disgusting business practice. And both stylist and owner should feel ashamed. read more

Unnida is amazing with kids' haircuts. I started taking my 15-month-old there because he couldn't see through his bangs. She has always been flexible, letting him sit on my lap before he was comfortable sitting on his own, letting us bring a snack to distract him, and letting him watch videos on my phone if needed. He's now 21-months old and just had his 4th haircut with her - sat all by himself in the chair, let her use the blow dryer to get hair off of him, and ran to give her a huge hug after we were done. She has built his trust and makes him feel at ease, AND she does a great job with his hair. We love her! read more

Wanted the picture on the left so went in for a hair consultation. They said it would be $300 and ended up with a picture on the right after $385 later plus they wanted to add an extra charge of $65 more. After I told them that I wasn't paying more than what they had originally stated (because that's what hair consultations are for) the "manager", which to be honest I don't even know if it was because they didn't even say a name - said to confirm my appointment and the charge was still the same. Truly disappointed with this place. Would not recommend for anything involved with hair. Sid was very nice though. read more

For my birthday my husband brought me a spa package and adding an additional 30 minutes to the 60 minutes massage included in the package. He was never told they were no longer doing massages because of Covid-19. When contacting them asking for a refund on the spa package, I was told No. Knowing businesses currently are going bankrupt because of Covid-19, I asked what would happen if the salon was to go out of business and was told no refund would be issued. My husband and I are out $255.15 because someone didn't tell him currently massages weren't being done and who knows when they will start. read more

There is parking right out front with more in the back. The Salon is designed to be modern which allows for lots of natural light. They are a full-service salon and spa which is nice because it's truly a one-stop shop. They carry high-end products like Bumble and Bumble as well as Byrd pomade. Overall great staff and location. I recently, got my hair cut at dsm salon. The hair dresser was very friendly and she did a great job washing my hair. My only complaint was, that my hair dresser was very insistent on not layering my hair. Begrudgingly, I agreeded to do a even cut. I hated it. My hair is thin on top and thick at the back so it weighed my hair down and made it look flat. Not wanting the added conflict, I didn't have her fixed it. Instead I went to another salon to get it fixed which means I had to pay twice to get my hair cut. Overall it was a disappointing experience. I give it three out of five stars. read more

Our bridal party went here to have hair and makeup done. The ladies that worked with us were very nice, but overall the hair updo was sadly lacking. Myself and the other bridesmaids picked a style from their instagram portfolio and what we got was not worth what we paid. The other two had shoulder length, finer hair while mine was middle of my back and thick. The stylist and I had a good conversation about what would work for my hair and she stated the reference photo would be no problem, but she would need to "tweak it to make it work". An hour later I had an updo that looked nothing like what we had talked about and it was falling out as I drove back to our hotel. By the time we reached our hotel it had completely fallen and had to be re done by the stylist working on the bride's hair. It would have been considerate to at least talk to me about giving me a completely different hair style or simply stating she couldn't make it work. I would have been happy to try something simpler like a half up style instead of the full updo. Similar issue happened with one of the other bridesmaids and her hair was much finer and shorter than mine. I'm glad we had another stylist at the hotel to help troubleshoot as these updos were not worth the money. Needless to say, it was not a good experience and I would not recommend them. Not for the price we were charged. read more
