Took down 30 ft maple in 2 hours start to finish. Cleaned all branches and leafs. Left the yard spotless. Great price. H8ghly recommend.

He shows up unannounced to give a bid, he says he has a wood chipper so "no problem" chopping the trees and leaving the chips, then when they show up to do the job, "we don't have no wood chipper", they won't honor their coupon you get via mail in the value pack, they say they can cut a stump then when it's time to do it, "I'm not ruining this blade chopping that......it's an expensive blade". The reason I gave three stars rather than one is because they did a very good job on what they did do, and did an awesome job cleaning up. Their bid was also excellent.......despite that some of the job discussed wasn't done. Just a note: I did check on their licensing and insurance and they do have both. I would just meticulously go through his bid to make sure he writes down everything you tell him when you're both walking around discussing what you want done. He may LOOK like he's writing it down, but if it's not on there it isn't getting done. Also discuss the coupon and make him put it on the bid. read more

I was told someone would come out on Saturday to give me an estimate. They couldn't give a time but said it would probably be in the morning. I rearranged my appointments so I could be home. Called at 2pm and again at 5pm asking if anyone was coming. No one ever answers the phone but the recording says someone will get back to you in 12-24 hours. Called again on Monday. Finally got a return call and was told that Jose was very busy all week and would try to come some time during the week. When I said that in that case I would use another company, the speaker hung up on me. I guess not all family owned businesses know how to behave professionally. Definitely stay away! read more

Affordable and professional. I had two large cottonwood limbs growing over my back deck and house and was worried about potential damage. The crew came out and rigged drop lines and cut the limbs incrementally and safety removed both limbs. I am very satisfied with their service and price is very reasonable. Great start cutting down the trees but returning to get roots out took weeks, many calls and in the end didn't take care of verbal commitments and we failed to ensure those were added the bid. Cleanup was not even close to "great job" promised". They were also pretty careless with stump removal tool and cut up two sprinkler pipes without even a "shovel review" just went for it when the stump was 4' from 2 large sprinkler valve housings. When it came to pay the owner was uncompromising about stumps not all removed, the mess, and the damage just went to verbiage on contract then threatened legal recourse if not paid in full immediately. Overall just poor on customer service based on overcommitting to get the job. read more

DSI Tree Service gave me a reasonable bid to remove some trees. They were pretty quick to get me a bid but contacting afterwards was a bit rough. All I asked for was some proof of insurance both liability and workers comp. They could not provide any insurance. They did send over on the morning of scheduled tree removal a copy of a QUOTE from State Farm insurance for some liability for their company but nothing that said they were actually insured. They came to my house, I asked if they could just have their insurance company call and confirm they were insured and they refused to do that and told me if they don't start right now then I had to call someone else to remove my trees. I told them I would call someone else. read more

DSI arrived as promised to make short work of a pile of tree limbs I had set next to my curb. The limbs were removed, along with other tree limbs that I couldn't reach. Afterward the entire area was raked and swept of ALL debris. Jose and crew did a remarkable job! read more

These guys are terrible. I had to call them several times before they would respond, then they just showed up at my house, unannounced, to give me an estimate. Their estimate was higher than another tree service, and their ad indicated that they would beat any bid from any other licensed tree service company. The other company could not get us in for a month, so I asked them about beating that bid and coming and doing the work, and I was never called back. Obviously, they are not true to their word!! DSI was by far the lowest bid for tree removal and trimming, and they did a good job and cleaned up well. However, my experience with them was not super positive and I would not use them again. I left a message with a request for an estimate, and Jose showed up unannounced a few days later to give me an estimate. When I called to schedule the tree removal, I asked the office manager if they could provide proof of license and insurance, and she said that wouldn't be a problem and they will bring it with them. When Jose and crew arrived and I asked for the insurance, he got upset and said it would cost him $40 to get it and that it wasn't worth it to him for such a small job and that he was going to leave. Luckily his son was there and was very nice to deal with. He found a picture of their insurance policy (which was expired) and waited while we called and verified their coverage despite Jose wanting to leave. This felt very unprofessional and avoidable with better communication with their office manager and better customer service with the client. read more
