Wood was prewrapped and still on a pallet inside the store (dry). Although the wood was light and appeared seasoned, it did not burn well in the clean, dry firepit. I was frequently having to rearrange and blow on the pieces to keep the fire going. I have been harvesting and burning wood in my home for 28 years, so am familiar with the process. The attached photos are of an unopened bundle, which was not needed due to the poor performance of the first bundle, and of the piece that remained in the firepit after setting all night. I will not be purchasing campwood from this company again. Also, their website is not valid, and their Facebook page has not been updated in 3 years.

They do a lot of advertising so I guess that's where a lot of it goes. Also there's extra cost of having a person just for giving estimates. Downsides could be details not conveyed to the crew or having to explain it again. On the plus side, they were available fairly quickly. Or is that a bad thing? I guess if you have an emergency and need tree work done right away and money is not a priority, give them a call. But if you have time, always get multiple quotes and check their insurance and licenses, don't just trust their word.

I hired Prestige (after they had approached me 3 different times with subsequent lower bids, they…read morereally wanted the job) to trim trees in my front yard and remove 11 evergreens in my back yard that had become far too big for our lot. They removed the trees by felling them onto the lawn without any de-limbing first, this wouldn't be a problem had they repaired the damage they did to the lawn. They left many large gashes and holes in the lawn and also many large limbs were driven into the ground and instead of removing them, they just used a chain saw to cut them at the level of the grass and then raked saw dust over the holes and limbs. They also broke main limbs on a Japanese maple and crab apple tree. When this was brought up they said they would come and spray/fertilize the trees. These limbs are fairly damaged and will need bracing and mending if the trees are to be saved, this service was refused. They also damaged our sports court by felling trees onto the court instead of conscientiously de-limbing and bringing the trunk down in manageable segments. All of these concerns were brought up to Denis and his reply was that we got a good deal. Had I had known a good deal would involve damaging my lawn and requiring more money to be spent saving trees and replacing sections of the sport court, I never would have hired them. If all you are looking for is a "good deal" then this might be the company you want to hire. If you are looking for professionalism and expertise, I would recommend that you look elsewhere.

To our surprise, the firm even hauled off leaves and branches we had collected prior to their arrival. His four man crew was there early the next morning with a tree boom and chipper and took care of not only the fallen limb, but took out the dead wood from the tree and parts overhanging the roof. While they were here, I asked them to take the overhanging limbs on the roof from a large tree in front which they did. The whole job was completed and completely cleaned up by 12:30 PM! They took down the tree quickly using their bucket truck, cut up the trunk into firewood for me, and mulched all the branches with their shredder. They also ground up 4 stumps for me, taking care to not damage any sprinkler lines, and moving lava rock gravel out of the way so it wouldn't get thrown all over the place. His guys then tidied up the area, making it all look cleaner than when they arrived. They also took extra care when they found a bird nest in the tree being removed, making sure to let me know about some bird eggs that were in there.
