Not super pleased! They trimmed bushes but didn't clean up very well around them. The next Job was topping a tree and trimming the limbs, we still have some more trimming to do! I Plan on a day just cleaning up around the bushes! I don't think we will have them back! They did do a good job cutting out dead branches in another tree. read more

I needed two large trees removed over garage. Out of the 3 bids south valley tree came in the cheapest. A couple thousand cheaper. But even crazier was how my dog reacted to these guys. My dog wanted to bite the other estimators, but when south valley showed up my dog was super friendly. Every person I dealt with was extremely nice, over the phone and in person. Some of these guys are a little rough around the edges, but they have a level of professionalism and work ethic that makes them stand out. Respectful to my property as well as the neighbors. Other companies were actually quite rude trying to get an estimate. South valley is different, it's obvious the workers had a stake in the company and cared about its success. The only complaint is these guys took the longest to get some one out and once bid excepted the job was scheduled was pushed out. This company has a high demand. I'm glad I waited! Saved a ton of money! Turns out a friend used these guys too and said pretty much the same thing, cheapest and high quality of work. read more

I am rarely compelled to write reviews, but this experience deserves it. This was literally the best experience I have ever had with a contractor. Especially as a women, I am always afraid of getting ripped off. They removed two very large trees (both in very tight spaces) and trimmed five huge branches from another tree. Best part, they did the job for less than half of some of my other estimates. A great guy named Scott came out to give me an estimate and knew far more about my trees than any of the other "experts" other companies sent out. Their price was so reasonable that I was concerned that I had "missed" something. Then the crew of six guys came out and did the work in less than three hours! They were professional, detail oriented and cleaned up every last piece of wood. I can't say enough great things about my experience. Don't waste your time going elsewhere. I requested an appointment time so I could be there when the stump grinding technicians came. I also requested the largest machine be used. But the guys showed up unannounced, and brought a smaller machine. They came back and eventually made things right, which I appreciate. However, the experience was frustrating. I love Yelp, out of town visiting Mom and the subject of over grown trees come up, we walk around the yard and decide what needs to be done, then we start guessing how much is this going to be. I look through Yelp and read horror stories, then I see South Valley, good reviews. Scott shows up the next week and makes us feel at ease with our concerns about removing two trees and trimming up three or four more, a week later they show up, do a fantastic job and charge what we were quoted, surprising good price, no one thought the price was high. Don't expect a call back if you have issues, even if promised. Destroyed several sprinkler lines. It looks like a bomb went off under ground... They had to have been aware of the damage, but they buried it, smiled and collected my money. Buried irrigation shutoff valve in the process. read more
