Local D's Wash and Dry was a unexpected delight. No need to bring quarters! You can use a credit card to create a card(.50) and add as much or little as you need. There are different sizes of wash machines($5,$7) depending on what you need. Dryers are (.40 cents for 10 minutes). The attendant(Gina) was sweet and very helpful for first time users! You could tell she was familiar with frequent customers and they were respectful and helpful to first time users of the new process! I hope the east coast catches on to this type of laundromat. D's also offers a wash,dry & fold for people who are pressed for time. You leave your laundry and pickup on the way home. What could be better???? I'm very particular about the places I review, and I had to leave a comment here to remove any doubt. The lady who works here is always cleaning, so the place stays pretty clean overall. Some of the washers and dryers could use a bit more maintenance, but that's likely due to the heavy usage they get. The card system is a little different than what most are used to, but it's manageable once you get the hang of it. read more

This place is in the farthest away corner of a tiny, run down strip center. This is a small and busy place, and not the cleanest. They do offer full service for those who don't want to hang around for the whole process, but didn't catch the cost. But if you do-it- yourself, be aware that this place does NOT take quarters- fully on a prepaid card that you buy for $.50. It requires cash bills to get the card, but first you have to find out how long the dryer time. FYI, it's $.40 for 10 minutes, since it does not say that anywhere. And, it wouldn't allow us to enter more that 10 minutes at a time, so we had to hang around to add another 10 minutes, twice. So, if you're passing thru like we are, you have to do the math to make sure you estimate the correct time (aka money) to put on the card,which rounds to the nearest whole dollar. So, we ended up with leftover money on it we are throwing away. Once we figured it all out, the equipment worked fine, and it was nice to have an attendant that could tell us how long the dryer cycle was. Good luck! read more

first and foremost I want to start positive and say the machines are well kept and majority of them are functional and clean. That being said the "owner" I believe is in from open till close since they also provide a wash and fold service for what ever cost. they use a card system where a first timer would come in look on the wall and see a vending machine of sorts and it is pretty simple to understand, Cards cost 50 cents and it only accepts cash. there are no "rules" per say but they have placed a sign right in the center of the front door that rudely states "no items with pet hair allowed in the machines, workers will remove and bag items with pet hair" Idk for being the ONLY self service laundromat for over 50 miles that is used by both locals and tourists in the area and specifically low income individuals who may not be able to purchase new machines if the old ones broke they shouldn't mind a little per hair in the dryer lint they have to clean. I understand the owners wanting to keep the loitering to a minimum by staying there all day and ensuring that the place is well kept but it's also not the best if you're not a friendly person. or better yet when you're going to be invasive and remove peoples items from a machine and leave them soaking wet in a cart and not say anything when they are looking for the belongings they had left thinking it was somewhat a safe space to. that is what happened to me today but more. I walked in grabbed a cart to load the laundry from my truck into the building and loaded everything into the big washer ($6.50) and as soon as I pressed start an employee asks " are you done yet?" I was super confused and put off by the question I replied I just started and just got here. and went to wait in my vehicle. Now I was parked at a spot where I was able to see my machine. When I saw it had stopped I grabbed some detergent and went back in, I have two young kiddos and like to first rinse the clothes before adding soap and actually washing. I started the machine again and this time instead of sitting in the parking lot I left. I knew I had 29 minutes for the machine to be finished I stayed within a 4 minute drive and was back about 5 minutes after they had finished. I got out with my baby and walked in and my clothes were no longer in the machine. I walked towards the dryers looking to see if anything looked familiar and not a thing. I didn't see the owner to ask any questions and I was pissed. I went home got my old man and returned. we found the stuff behind a set of machines wet in a cart. I put the stuff in the dryer and went back out until they were done, grabbed them still no workers anywhere to be seen but I saw their vehicle. I just left cause it's not worth the drama. Basically if you're ok with your privacy being stripped and possibly gone through then this laundry mat is the place for you. read more

Woman working there turning off the washing machines after about 6 minutes. I'm wondering if they can pay there electric bill. Crabbing to people nothing with hairbon it allowed. Apparently one of the machines broke. I only used this place once a couple of months ago. So I got scolded because of a faulty washer. Be sure to wear your hair up or you might get banned. read more

The reviews on this place are surprising to say the least. Seems like tourists that don't know how laundry mats work. If you're complaining about lack of chairs go sit in your car or one of the 20 coffee shops we have in oakhurst while you wait, why would you want to sit in a laundry mat for an hour anyway? As for the staff the ladies that work here are nothing short of AMAZING. I always have great conversations with them and they are very helpful and nice. So what if they park in the front? THEY WORK THERE and shouldn't have to walk far to get to there car when they close at night considering they are women. Anyways, I love this place and it hurt my heart to see some of these ugly reviews. read more

Great staff. They are constantly working! Facilities are extra clean. The only recommendation I have for this business is recycle! People are constantly running out of their detergent and throwing away their large plastic bottles and they are obviously going in the trash. I'm hoping management can change this. read more

1st time here after a plumbing issue at the house. Was fairly busy on a Saturday, but expected. There were plenty of washers and dryers. Place was clean and the units were well kept and looked new. This facility uses a card system that can be loaded on with paper bills. No quarters or credit cards. Credit cards would be a plus, but the machine was easy to use and the attendants/fluff and fold crew, were nice and attentive. Washer for a regular load was $3.95 and the dryer was $0.40 for 10min. 20 min was plenty for the clothes to be dry. They offer fluff and fold as well. :) read more

The attendant was very helpful at D's. However there were no chairs so I had to stand and wait for my clothes to wash & dry. There were also only 5 rolling carts to use and more were needed. This place got the job done with no frills. read more

Started to come here to do my laundry then I found out that they offer wash and fold with folding I have to say it's pretty good service Dee the young gal that does the work is very nice and respectful and she fold your laundry better than if you were to get it done By a dry cleaner. When you pick out your clothes don't forget to give her a big tip because she's worth every penny!! read more

I'm disappointed. Accidently left a few pieces after doing laundry while on vacation. Called two days and 600 miles later and it was confirmed that I left things at D's. I said that I'd send a check to cover cost and time to mail the items to me. After one positive phone conversation, I haven't heard a thing. I left messages more than once but no further response. I mailed a check and note to the laundromat but they were returned "undeliverable - no mail receptacle". So, the laundry I did there was fine but I am disappointed at the promise of follow-up which never happened. read more

I called before to ask for information and the woman who answered was very helpful and friendly. There are lots of washers and dryers (some small capacity, some large) and most of them were in working order. We got our laundry done in an hour. The bathroom was clean. This place looks like a hole in the wall, but walk in and find all new washers and dryers! The lady working was extremely helpful. They will wash and dry your clothes but we did ours ourselves and it was simple. Took 23 minutes to wash and 20 minutes to dry! In and out and exactly what we needed! read more

I enjoy this Laundry Mat. But the one lady is very rude and just not to me, I spoke with others but this evening I showed up at 7 p.m. and she asked me if I am going to be finished with my laundry by 8 p.m. I replied yes, I know this Laundry Mat closes at 8:00 p.m. I dumped my clothes out and she was sweeping around them. I told her why don't you wait until I put them in the machine, she said nothing. I wanted to use the restroom and noticed the light was on and the door was closed. I asked the lady the restroom is locked, and she replied yes. I replied can you open it. She did. She was also talking to another customer how she worked over 12 hours that day. I asked her later how do I get in touch with the owner of this business. She said Facebook. I also noticed she did not clean the Washers after used and so I just loaded my clothes in it. The other 2 ladies who work there I have no problems and they tend to do there jobs without standing and watching the customers load there clothes in and take them out. read more

This place is very new, bright, clean and so much better than anything else in the foothills. Fully attended, drop off service, stainless steel machines, stainless steel folding tables, air conditioned, flat screen TV, 4 different sized machines from 2 loads to 8 loads. Beyond compare. This is their 2nd location. Other store is on Blackstone in Fresno. It uses cards, not quarters for ease of money handling. Nice, nice nice! read more

2.95 to wash a "double load". $.40 for 10 min of dryer time. $.50 to buy the laundry card. they will not give you change if you don't use all money on the card. The change machine will give you $5 bills but no coins or $1 bills. The machine was out of change and the girl working there helped me out. They also have laundry services here. $12.00 to drop off a double load and that includes detergent. I didn't see any detergent for sale, but I also didn't ask. I saw a bathroom. The facility looks questionable from the outside, but it is a bare bones clean place with new looking machines. Not much as far as seating area. They have a/c. :) read more
