I gave directions again and again to the stylist she ignored me, and now I look worse than when I came in

Have been going here since we moved to Scarsdale. I've done waxing, make-up application and…read moreblowouts before. Today I had the pleasure of meeting the manager Shannon who is so pleasant and welcoming. I had a blowout with Andrea. She used their Dream Dry x Masami products in my hair (shampoo, conditioner & serum) which left my hair feeling clean & shiny and also smells amazing. I was surprised at how beautiful my hair came out and how quickly it was done. I have long hair so it usually takes a lot longer. I also had my brows touched up and lashes tinted by Kim who was really amazing as well. I'll definitely be back for more services. The space is large, welcoming, modern, clean and conveniently located in the village. Open now with safety measures in place. Please support your local businesses!

This review is for my experience with eyelash extensions. I emailed someone from Blvd a week later…read moreto explain my experience and give them a chance to resolve this but another week has past and I've yet to hear back. This was by far the WORST experience with eyelashes I've ever had. It's been two weeks and all of my lashes have fallen out. When I got home, I noticed lashes started to fall out immediately that night but I figured it was just a couple of loose ones so I didn't think anything of it. However, I did notice they were uneven -- the right side had way more lashes than the left. I then noticed they continued to fall out all week. Nobody, not even my sisters noticed I had gotten my lashes done and the whole point of getting lashes is for a noticeable difference! $180 for what?! Also, the technician had her hands all over my face and nose the entire time. They were heavy on my forehead and thankfully I don't have sensitive skin but if I did I could've broken out. When working on my left eye, she kept pushing down on one of my nostrils, blocking it and I have a sensitive nose so that was frustrating!! I've never experienced this before and it was so uncomfortable and felt like this was very new to her. I've been getting my lashes done frequently for the past 3 years. I take care of my lashes and brush them so they last long. I always go to Lash Loft in the city because it was near my office but wanted to try somewhere closer to home since my office moved locations. I've paid the same price for lashes that look even, full, and last over a month because that's what it should be like. Such a waste of money and soooo disappointed. Don't come here for lashes because this is NOT what it should be like.

Unfortunately my rating is reflective of NOT being serviced by this salon. After several…read moreconversations with the owner (in person) as well as the female stylist who was scheduled to cut and blow dry my hair (over the phone), I was told they could do what I needed (cut from 3 inches past my shoulders-long to shoulder length and blow dry naturally curly hair). I arrived on time to my appointment, after driving 20 minutes from home and paying for parking only to be seated and looked over by the female stylist several times sighing and going back and forth between saying she could and could not cut my hair. She gave no particular reason, just kept touching it and looking at and repeatedly went back and forth until after ten minutes of being prodded like a zoo animal decided enough was enough. I was able to book a last minute appointment at M Salon in Eastchester and they gave me EXACTLY the shoulder length cut and style I wanted in less than an hour with only a picture and a few words for direction. Very DISAPPOINTED in Salon Shige as my 3-year old son had a great haircut experience with the owner a few months back that prompted me to try them for my own hair. I've had my hair cut and styled almost exclusively in the past ten years by Japanese salons in NYC, so I really can't figure out why this one salon found my hair difficult to work with. Looking at the pictures of the other customers, my hair is similar to many of their past customers. Oh well. My son won't be returning either.

Salon Shige charges 35 bucks for a spanking nice men's haircut with great service. The only con is he is a solo act so the more you like him, the less I'll like you for booking up my slots.

AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS. Buyer beware of the owner of this establishment. She was,…read moreunfortunately, one of the most unprofessional individuals I have encountered in a business setting--rude, erratic, and unnecessarily focused on my personal life. While I initially intended to write this review solely regarding the service not functioning as expected, the far more concerning issue has been the manner in which the owner communicates with clients. To be succinct, I went in for a brow lamination that did not hold or work at all (photos for reference). When I reached out to address the issue, a front desk employee called me and explained she was texting with the manager and she told me that they would offer only a redo, not a refund. This concerned me because during my appointment, my technician had made it clear that it would be unsafe to perform another lash lamination any sooner than six weeks. To be sure, I consulted two other lamination providers in Westchester, who also expressed concern and stated that redoing a lamination later could potentially cause breakage or other damage. I for obvious reasons, do not feel comfortable returning to the establishment for a redo given their history. When the owner called me, I explained that since I did not receive the service outcome I paid for, I would be filing a chargeback with my credit card company and submitting a complaint to the BBB, both standard consumer rights when a service does not work as expected. When she scoffed at me, I explained I had a background in law and do know my rights. I communicated this calmly, without raising my voice, insulting her, or making personal remarks. My decision was made, I was certainly not looking for a refund anymore. The owner interpreted this as me "threatening" her, and the conversation took an unexpected turn. She began asking about my personal life, including where I went to college and whether I work from home, questions that felt irrelevant to the service issue. She made comments about my school being "a party school" and suggested she hoped my company was "okay with me taking time off to speak with her and not digging into my per diem," even though the call lasted only about eight minutes. We went from speaking about a service issue to digging into my personal life and finding areas to insult. She told me my tone "was disgusting", that I am petty, and trying to "pull every trick". These remarks felt inappropriate and, in my opinion, crossed into personal territory that had nothing to do with the service at hand. I was surprised by this, as I did not insult her personally, nor did I comment on her personal life (or ask where she was educated?). I was firm because I was upset that the service I paid for did not work, but I remained respectful. The call ultimately ended with her telling me to "do whatever the hell you want" and hanging up on me. As a business partner myself, I found this interaction extremely unprofessional. Disagreements happen, but how they are handled matters. I would never raise my voice at a customer, make personal remarks about their background or employment, question them on their education, or become emotional during a discussion about a service issue. That is simply not how professional disputes should be handled. I understand the owner may choose to respond to this review + will likely try to defame my character and make further personal attacks. I am prepared for those. My intention is not to escalate or inflame anything but to provide a factual, detailed account of what occurred. Consumers should be aware of my experience, particularly regarding how service concerns and refund inquiries may be handled by the owner. You may be verbally accosted. She even cited my texts to their messaging service as rude. I will copy below for context. "The brow lamination unfortunately did not work at all and was expensive. I'm calling to try to get a resolution. This is now the second time I've come in for a treatment that's been unsatisfactory, so I would love to find a way to amicably resolve it in a way that doesn't hurt either party. It is within your standard business hours, so it would be great to get a call back on this."
