Welcome to a classic scenario of "you get what you pay for" in the form of a high quality coffee…read moreshop. This might be my favorite coffee shop in Milwaukee, but the overall experience might leave you more satisfied than anything else. The environment is modern with touches of vintage as the space is clearly set in an older building with upgrades and decor to match the current period. The seating options are comfy and the space is open. The front windows offer tons of natural light to make the space invigorating and fresh. It's hard to find a pour over coffee anymore because of the time and commitment involved in proper preparation. This place not only offers it but you can choose from over 20 options for this beverage! I went with a delightful cup of Ethiopian bliss and my heart was full. The prices are slightly high for the market and service is a bit slower compared to your typical shop. This is a place where you come to slow down and savor the experience as soon as you walk in the door. If you want quick and simple, go to the chain down the road. For an elevated experience that comes with quality product, make sure you stop here and experience it yourself.

It was so full that, if it weren't for the magic of surface tension, there would have been a big puddle on the saucer and table. It had great foam, a good balance of flavors, and the right temperature, along with some nice latte art. Service: The staff were friendly, both when taking orders and serving drinks. Atmosphere: Despite how busy it was, we were able to get a table. Unfortunately, the table wobbled because the legs were uneven. That was a bit of a challenge with my overfilled mocha, but some napkins fixed the problem. If I were going to nitpick, I'd also mention that the Wi-Fi is really slow. A good experience and a great latte.

The seating is located upstairs. And, the place is sparingly clean! Also, everyone is friendly and helpful. And, the coffee is incredible! You couldn't ask for a better place to start off your day at. Their store was small, modern, and sleek with limited seating. Unless you go upstairs. So, plan to get it to go. They are passionate about what they do. So, get ready for a tasty treat. I always get the an iced latte decaf and a drip coffee. My favorite drink is the iced decaf latte. From the first sip to the last drip. I always savor every last sip of that delicious drink. It's creamy, dreamy, and delicious. With a bold perfect coffee flavor. Pure perfection! Also, I love taking home a cup of coffee for the next day. And, a pound of coffee to share. Trust me when I say that this coffee is incredible! You'll want that extra coffee. So, next time you see an Anodyne coffee. Stop by for a tasty treat! You won't regret it.

've been to plenty of coffee shops, including Anodyne's other local locations. This one has a very…read moredifferent vibe and doesn't quite offer the elevated experience I've come to expect from the brand. Food: We ordered a couple of hot mochas with whipped cream. Unfortunately, they were some of the blandest lattes I've had in a long time. Even my wife commented on how lackluster they were. We also ordered a breakfast sandwich with egg, sausage, and cheese. It was disappointing as well. The sausage patty was warm around the edges, but still cold in the middle, and the sandwich looked like it had simply been dropped into the to-go box without much care. Service: One staff member was handling the register, taking orders, and preparing the food, all while doing their best to keep up with customers. During that time, another employee was stocking shelves and organizing bags of coffee. From a customer's perspective, it seemed like helping with the line and food preparation would have been the higher priority. Atmosphere: This location definitely caters to a different clientele. Since it's part of the Public Market, you don't really get the traditional coffee shop experience that Anodyne is known for. We found a couple of chairs at a small table outside, which was a pleasant place to enjoy our drinks. This location just didn't live up to the experience I've had at Anodyne's other cafés. It's probably not one I'd plan to return to.

You may see them in and around East Town and Third Ward peddling coffee and now healthy snacks. During the week, they are parked outside the Johnson Controls building (Jefferson & Michigan). It's the service that separates them from the others. Every morning Mike yells out, "BARRY!" Mike and Matthew (when he is there) really work hard on getting to know everyone and makes it a point to remember what you do, like, your interests or asks about your weekend. Ask yourself, when was the last time you experienced that? I usually go for their dark roast. Recently, I tried the pour over (it takes more time to make) and the flavor and quality is much better if you have the time. Today, I wanted to try the Booster Bites,on-the-go energy in bite sized portions made with nuts, seeds and dried fruit. They are supporting this brand by selling this from their cart. They also donate 10% of their profits to a charity each month. The accept debit and credit cards too. Bring in your own cup and get a discount. Lastly, their coffees are from supports free-trade. +++++ Service!!! +++++ Atmosphere (Mike and Matthew) +++++ Quality +++++ Supports community If you are around the area, check them out.

I love sandwiches and knew I had to try the pastrami. It was fantastic. I've been trying to cut back on caffeine and I instead went with one of their refreshers on the menu. It was I believe and 'Blue and Grapefruit' - and that wasn't my favorite as someone who doesn't really care for grapefruit that much. I got it thinking it would be diluted a bit, SO, if you like grapefruit, I'm sure it's perfect for you. I also got a peanut butter oreo pie and wish I took a picture of it...but I devoured it too quick to even think about it. For me, that dessert was the definite highlight of the cafe. I'll definitely come back on more weekends when I have a craving for pastrami.
