I have been going to Drybar for a few years whenever I am in town. The stylists are skilled and easy to be around. Especially stylist and salon educator Kiyana and assistant manager Kristen. I highly recommend them for your blowout no matter the length or type of hair you might have. read more

they delete reviews too, so you can't trust this place, I've been trying to reach a manager, because my niece went here Monday to get her hair done, If she needs more time, say that but why make a child feel bad about her hair? my niece told me the guy Antwan the stylist they have here talked about her hair type, he could have just said she will need longer time why highlight her hair type? Then my niece neck was hurting from how hard he was pulling her hair. a REAL HAIR STYLIST DOES ALL HAIR TYPES read more

I was very surprised at the reviews because I had a really positive experience. I made a last minute appointment the night before going in and went in early in the morning. There is a lot of parking since all there is lots of stores in suburban square. I got there earlier than my appointment so I waited a little bit, but they took in time for my appointment. My stylist introduced herself and walked me through the whole process. My hair turned out so shiny and healthy! I will 100% be a returning customer. For $59 for a blowout that's not that bad! read more

Had an absolutely terrible and disappointing experience here. The assistant manager is completely unprofessional and rude. It's a shame because it's in a nice area and the stylist was kind but the my hair was not at all what I had asked for and when I voiced my concern the assistant manager just belittled me and offered no solution. For around $70, there are so many better places in the area who will have your hair looking it's best and have much kinder management read more

Had the worst experience here. A group of us booked for a holiday party, and each of us independently had awful service and a terrible wash/blowout. The staff talks to each other the entire time, we're short and rude to each of us. My shampoo was actually painful. We all came home and had to redo or modify what the stylists had done. Won't be back to this location. read more

Absolute joke of an establishment. Hit or miss with stylists. Extremely overpriced. Made an appointment for 7am before a very important meeting and no one was there...shop wasn't even open. Do not recommend. read more

I want to start off by saying this review is not about the stylists - every single one of them is AMAZING. Excellent customer service, very good at their craft, and very friendly. I enjoyed every time I came for a blowout (and I was there weekly). The reason I am giving this salon 1 star is because I am PRAYING this gets the attention of management. I was a VIP member and sent a membership cancellation on 10/31. My credit card was charged for a membership on 11/11 for the membership fee. I emailed them on 11/13 stating my membership was cancelled so I would need a refund - no response. So, I disputed the charge on my credit card statement. I decided to cancel my credit card once no one responded to my email. Now I have received TWO emails stating my credit card was declined for my monthly membership fee in December. I emailed them yesterday (12/11) stating yes, it was declined because I had to cancel my credit card due to your company continuing to charge me for something I cancelled on 10/31. No response. Then I get ANOTHER email this morning that my card was declined. DO NOT SIGN UP FOR A MEMBERSHIP AT THIS LOCATION!! I signed up for one previously at the King of Prussia location and when I cancelled I have no issues at all, so the issue is specific to Suburban Square. Will not be visiting again which is sad because I really enjoyed the stylists, but I can't deal with the management or billing at this point. Update: still no response and STILL getting daily credit card declined emails. read more

The area manager just happened to be in the store when I booked! Here name is Victoria and she was amazing as was the branch manager--Telisha. Victoria happened to find out that I had had a previous not-so-great experience at your king of prussia location. She went out of her way to make me feel special and HEARD. She also gave me a small add on which was a nice treat as a way of saying thank you and sorry you didn't have a great experience last time. These things are not SMALL at all, but rather what keeps a company like your's in business. As a business woman myself, I like to call this "not tripping over dollars to pick up nickels" On top of it all, my stylist Kristen--was EXCELLENT. I had a blast chatting with her and my hair looked incredible. I have been to this location, king of prussia, and philadlelphia and this is by FAR your best location. One small thiing, earlier in the afternoon I walked in and two stylists were doing hair (not any of the folks I mention above) I waited for about 3-5 minutes while they continued doing hair and looked straight at me without any acknowledgment, not even a greeting. It wasn't until I addressed them directly, that they finally, begrudgingly it seemed, answered my question about an appointment. Not the look you want for your shop and if it hadn't been for the wonderful reception I had for my actual appointment 2 hours later, this might have been a bigger deal, but I didn't want to ding you on the stores. Not a great look, and I would reccommend ALWAYS having a receptionist at the front to greet, especially because those 2 young women did NOT seem like people people at all--I wonder how long they would have stared at me if I hadn't talked first. Kind of weird. Thank you again for being awesome Telisha, Kristen and Victoria! read more

EDIT: As I was submitting this review, my membership appears to have been canceled. THANK YOU. So who ever needs to know on yelp, it took two weeks and a day. My review is strictly about canceling their membership. I have now submitted the form twice from my Drybar account as instructed. It's been over two weeks and no one has yet to contact me. Instead, Drybar charged my card again for another month of membership. I emailed twice to follow up and then to ask about this. Again, no answer. When I log into my Drybar account, nothing has changed. They still show my next charge date. And I can't remove any of my payment methods off the account. I regret getting a membership and now having to spend all this time trying to cancel it. BE AWARE. Ardmore, Suburban Square, PA read more

such a great experience! my stylist was so sweet and i would definitely recommend anyone to go and get their hair done here!!

I always have a great experience at every Drybar location. (And I've been to a lot of them.) They were able to easily accommodate my change from a dry style to a blowout. My curls and braid were fabulous. My stylist was lovely. It was a bit odd, though, that she didn't know how to do a braid and needed to tap in another stylist. But it all worked out ok. The receptionist was above and beyond. I have no complaints. (But note that it doesn't have an actual "bar" with drinks like some other locations.) read more

Kudos to Sunny! I brought him a few inspo pictures & told him I wanted my hair up & to the side. He executed the most beautiful, creative hairstyle for me! The worst Dry Bar in the entire chain is Ardmore. I have a double bar fly membership so I go often. This is the only location that continues to disappoint. They always make you wait, even when no one is busy. I was sitting for 15 minutes while two of the stylists were doing each others hair. The previous time I waited 45 minutes, I had to because I had an event to go to. They are constantly short staffed, and the over all atmosphere is rudeness. I will continue to go to King of Prussia and Center City locations instead. read more

I was a bit nervous to try this location given the negative reviews. But, honestly, it seems like people only come on yelp to leave negative reviews these days. My visit to this location was really pleasant. I went in to get my hair done for my engagement photo shoot later in the afternoon. I had a great experience, I felt like the stylist did a good job with my curls. My hair is really long and thick, so it can take some time to style. I ended up buying some products and the stylist managing the front desk recommended which hair spray to pick up in case it rained during the photo shoot. Before I walked out of the front the door the stylist told me to stop and pulled out a Drybar umbrella because she noticed it was raining and told me to keep it. That was thoughtful and nice. Overall great experience and definitely going to return! read more

I had asked for a bouncy blowout, and then specifically referenced the styles in their lookbook by saying "something between the Straight Up and Cosmo." The stylist essentially dried my hair using mainly her fingers -- no sectioning and going over with a round brush, creating volume, using rollers, etc. -- and then proceeded to just curl my hair with a small barrel curling iron. It was a something I could have done myself at home, and definitely NOT a what you would call a "blowout" at all. You would think the stylists at a blowout bar are at the very least trained to be able to do blowouts. I also told the stylist that I was getting my hair done for an event the next day, and my hair was flat by the time I got home -- while still feeling heavy and sticky with about 4-5 different hair products. I have been to the Drybar in Center City and have asked for the exact same style, and my experience was completely different. My hair was blow dried using a round brush, rolled up section by section, and then pinned up as well. My style lasted until the next day without a problem. PLEASE trust the negative reviews for this Drybar. I know people who have had the exact same experience at this location as well. Though my stylist was very nice, there is clearly a severe lack of training that needs to be addressed among their staff. I 100% will not be returning. You are better off styling your own hair. read more

Awful experience. We hit traffic and called immediately to ask if it was okay to be fifteen minutes late. We were told "yes fifteens minutes is no problem at all." Unfortunately, the manager wouldn't honor the appointment and wouldn't refund our deposit. We were completely confused as to why we were being treated this way. We called to talk to the manager and we were hung up on. We are long time Dry Bar customers and never had an experience like this at any Dry Bar location. This would have been our first time at this location. Definitely do not recommend this location. So glad the phone calls at Dry Bar are recorded as we were completely blindsided by their rudeness. read more

This was my second visit to this Drybar location. I was very pleased with my hair both times. I was getting my hair blown put for formal evebts and wanted to treet myself to a professional blow out. I have to say the greeters at this establishment are great. My stylist was pretty much no nonsense. There was not a lot of small talk which on the surface might seem 'off putting' but, the lack of conversation aloud me to actually shut my eyes and simply relax. I found myself with about one hour of pampering relaxation with out having to expend any energy. I think Taylor did a very good job on my hair. I look forward to going back and possibly buying a membership for twice a month visits. read more

I just received a disturbing phone call from the manager of the Ardmore PA Drybar. She accused me of lying about an appointment being late. She told me that my daughter was seated at 3:32 pm which is untrue. I spoke on the phone to someone at corporate last week because I sent a private email on the website about two late appointments. I didn't want anything or anyone to get in trouble but just wanted you them to know that both appointments we had (June and November) were late. I assume that corporate told her to call me. She made it 100% worse. Obviously this Ardmore manager has her own reality I know when I got there, when they took my daughter, when I paid, and when we left. The manager was completely rude to me. I will never step foot in that store and will tell others about my experience. read more

When we were 15 minutes late and called ahead when we planning our mother funeral, they said no problem. When I called to let them know our eta was exactly 15 minutes late like they okayed and that we were coming , the manager and staff were extremely dismissive and told us they would not honor our appointment time or refund money and hung up on us. The people that work here do not deserve to be employed and are an embarrassment to the Drybar franchise and took advantage of us in our time of grief. I would rather shave my head than have these people touch one hair on my head read more

Stylist was sweet. Great scalp massage, $10 extra. Wouldn't pay for the treatment agian,$20. Blow out $45. You do the math. Front desk/Manger is not accommodating. After reading the negative reviews I realized booking online wasn't the way to go. I went ahead and called, got an answering servicing. Went through the typical basics of booking any appointment. Put my card on final just in case I didn't show up, automatic $20charge. No big deal. When I went to cash out the front desk/manager asked me if I was paying with the card on file my reply was no in cash. She proceeds to tell me that they are a CARD ONLY PLACE. CARD ONLY PLACE. I REPEAT CARD ONLY PLACE. Never once was I informed when I made the appointment, nor does it say it on the website. When I asked why they opted out of accepting cash the womens reply was " it's been like this for a year" and than pushed the manner onto the company "it's the company's rules". Cool. First and last time my sister and I will be here. I had pulled out $40($20each)for the tip to the girls. But after speaking to this non accommodating women I decide to only tip them on the blow out $20($10each). Tip can be in cashed but seems like they still prefer it on the card. They should tell you the preferred payment methods. Or in this case. The ONLY way to pay. read more

I left the salon a frizzy poofy mess. Usually I have good experiences with Drybar so I expected the same from this location. This was absolutely not the case. After booking online, the salon canceled my appointment without contacting me. And when I showed up they had no knowledge of my appointment until I showed them the confirmation email. Then thy penciled me in and told me to come back in 45 minutes. Already wasting my time. Then, when I come back at the time they scheduled me, I was told to wait another 20 minutes because they are understaffed. I have never had someone be so rough when styling my hair. Being stabbed with hair clips having my necklace almost pulled off and having my hair ripped out with a brush was not what I had hoped for when coming here. Being constantly burned with the blow dryer and straightener was another continuous occurrence throughout my styling. I left feeling dry and poofy. My hair was entirely frizzy and now I have to go home and fix it myself. I paid $50 for the worst hair experience I've ever had. Choose a different location if you value the money in your wallet. read more

If today was my first blowout at Drybar I would never come back. I've had the same stylist before and she did great job so I asked for her again. She was very heavy handed (it was way too rough). I could hear my hair being torn and ripped. I felt bad. It sounded bad. I should have stopped there. I offered to help comb my hair out. I also brought my own products and was told I could no longer bring my own products without a doctors note (????). I was also told the blowout can't be guaranteed unless Drybar products are used.. I asked to see the guarantee and policy on products. I understand the salon wanting to use their products, but I have a very sensitive scalp and prefer my own products. Seriously, a doctors note????? One side of my hair was flat ironed and I was told I was done. I had to ASK to have the other side flat ironed (is there anyway that makes sense)? read more

Just to be clear I would give my hair 5 stars! It came out great and the blow out held for 3 full days thanks to a little dry shampoo. I scheduled a 1 PM appointment, I had to leave at around 3 PM for a wedding so figured that would be plenty of time. The receptionist was curt and not super welcoming. I wasn't offered anything on walking in (a menu to look at style options or a glass of water would have been nice). It took 25 minutes from the time of my scheduled appointment, though I anticipated that based on reviews there would be wait. Still it would have been nice if one of the two receptionists who were sitting up front and gossping had apologized or even mentioned they were running behind. Finally I was taken back, my shampoo was fine though the sinks are weirdly uncomfortable. My stylist came over she seemed a little irritated, but asked what I wanted and then did my hair accordingly. She did a great job and I loved the style. When I went to pay the receptionists were again gossping and talking about how pissed a stylist was going to be that they were giving her a certain client, which was rude. Overall, I would give one star for the personal interactions of the staff, but Five stars for the quality of my hair! read more

Went here once before and had a mediocre experience, but the 11:00 am appointment that I had today, calls for review. My appointment was at 11AM (during a non-busy workday), however they did not take me until 11:15 am, worth noting, but I am understanding of running a new minutes behind. My kind stylist took me back to get my hair washed, and left the room assuming to get something. She in fact, got a new client and didn't mention anything to me. When my "new" stylist started washing my hair, I asked if she would be my new stylist and she proceeded to tell me that my original stylist had to take a client who is picky and complains a lot. I can't believe she was speaking badly of another patron to me! This was my second indicator that the service here is subpar. Aside from asking me what style I wanted and trash talking another paying customer, my stylist made no effort for small talk with me, which made be feel super uncomfortable given one stylist had already ditched me. I had ordered a coffee from the receptionist when I first arrived and never got it throughout my entire hour there. When I mentioned that I never got my coffee as I was checking out, she mumbled something under her breath. Again, making me feel uncomfortable and unwanted in the salon. Lastly, I tried to use a groupon that I had purchased for this blowout and the receptionist wouldn't take it, without offering an explanation. I understand things get jumbled when trying to pay by groupon, but when she said "there's nothing I can do for you, I am going to charge your card on file", it was very disheartening and again, unaccomodating. When I had read previous negative reviews, I thought others were overreacting, but please be aware of the poor and uncomfortable service at this Drybar location. read more

Is there a way to leave 0 stars? DO NOT GO HERE. Made an appointment for 3:15pm waited for an hour before walking out. Receptionist Ivana was extremely rude and kept lying to customers telling people that walked in that no one was waiting for over 15 min which was a blatant lie. So sad bc I've gone to several Drybar locations and never had this issue. Horrible management and horrible customer service. UPDATE: Contacted corporate and got the run around - just wanted to push me away and gave me $20 towards my next blow out instead of actually listening to what I had to say and working with me. Not sure who I'm more disappointed with, this location or the Drybar corporation as a whole. read more

2 stars for the overall experience of the salon but 4 stars for my stylist. I am used to high customer service at drybar locations and have been to multiple drybar locations in multiple cities & I am a frequent drybar customer. Came to this location as I am in town and was expecting the high level of customer satisfaction I am used to but was extremely let down. I was taken back for my wash 45 minutes after my appointment time. It was apparent that the location was extremely understaffed. While waiting, I watched a specific stylist do another clients hair and I was appalled at the styling and requested not to have her as my stylist. This is the first time in Drybar history that I have ever had to request NOT to have a stylist. Once I was finally washed and sitting, my stylist was extremely friendly and knew what she was doing. My hair looked 4/5 stars and I was happy with my results but the entire process to get to the end point was ridiculous. This location was extremely disorganized and understaffed. I am sad since Drybar is my go to blow out bar in the city I live and when I travel but I will not be back to this location & have found way better blow out bars in the area. read more

My first visit was very good but my second visit left a bad taste in my mouth and the majority of that lays at the feet of the receptionist. The first person you meet in a business should be a great first impression. Not here. The receptionist is cold and harsh. I was three minutes late and apologized. I was offered a drink while I waited. I asked for coffee which arrived ice cold. Nearly 20 minutes later I asked the receptionist if I was going to get my blow out. She mumbled something about how legally the stylist has to rest between blow outs. I pointed out that my blow out was 20 minutes ago so this made no sense. Without responding she left the front. My blow out and stylist was good. But when I went to pay once again the receptionist was MIA. A stylist had to help me. I realized I had forgotten to leave a tip. I tried to give a tip but the receptionist, who had returned, ignored me. Finally I asked her if I could leave a tip. She grabbed my money, threw it on the counter and said 'I will get it to her' and turned away from me. Until this place gets better organized and hires kind professional people, I will not be returning and I will be letting my friends know to stay away. read more

RUDE! Brought my 17 yo daughter in for a simple style that she chose from the book after being told the first choice from the book wasn't an option. Stylist didn't say hello or introduce herself. The Style wasn't even close but looked good. The stylist spoke not one word to my daughter the entire time. Was rough w her hair. We thanked her and she said nothing but made eye contact so I know she heard us. The next client asked where she could place her coat and the stylist pointed. Again not speaking a word. The client asked, "here?" The stylist said," that's where I pointed isn't it?" So incredibly rude! I honestly thought we were being punked. read more

Like the reviewer below I arrived 10 minutes early for an 11:45 AM appointment. I waited for more than a half hour before I left and asked to be rescheduled. There were several women in the waiting area who were wedding guests and had events downtown. All were waiting either longer than me or over a half hour. I called Drybar to give feedback (when you call them, you're calling a centralized dispatch call center, not a local branch) and they said I would hear from them in 48 hours. They confirmed my phone number and email address. Its been 5 business days and I have heard nothing. read more

Will not be returning to this location. My stylist was very nice and did a great job BUT the place is so disorganized! I had a 4 pm appointment on Saturday and when I arrived I looked around and noticed there were about 5-6 people waiting. The receptionist did NOT mention to me that they were running behind...so I just assumed they were walk-ins. Only when another woman went up to ask about the delay did I learn that they were running approximately an hour behind. UM that is outrageous! How about some transparency up front when people check in to let them know and give them an option to wait around or not? I wasn't seen until 4:45 pm and had to tell the poor stylist who was already probably frustrated to go as fast as possible so I wouldn't be late for my event (which I was). The receptionist mentioned to me that they don't have phones at their location and therefore aren't able to call customers to let them know about delays. WHAT!? That seems insane to me. Not sure if I'll be returning to Drybar at all. Extremely disappointed read more

I arrived 10 mins early for my 3pm appt and only after another customer complained about her wait, was I told they were running at least 45 mins behind! At that rate, what's the point of even making appointments? They seemed very overwhelmed & unorganized, with no one running the front desk. Since I had an event in the city at 6 and kids to drop off with a sitter, I could not wait around. They sent me on my way with a measly $5 off coupon that's only valid sun-wed - completely useless. Would have at least appreciated a call about the backlog so I didn't waste my time. read more

I want to preface the review with praise for my stylist. Blowout was amazing. That said my business relationship with DryBar is done. At checkout I advised the girl working the register to please not use my card on file, I had a different card for her. Proceeded to swipe the desired card with added gratuity. Walk out to several texts and alerts from my bank that my account was overdrawn. Which shouldn't have been possible seeing as I purposely didn't use that card (the one on file) because I knew there wasn't enough to cover the blowout and gratuity. Low and behold- there's a $49 charge on both of my cards. This won't "fall off" in time to not incur an overdraft fee. Go to a hair salon for your blowout. DryBar just steals your money, sends your complaint to a call center where they will do nothing. Thanks for nothing. You guys are trash read more

I came back for the second time this evening, and again, I am happy. Quick, simple, and painless. This time, I went with a Straight Up and it looks AMAZING. My experience was great, however it was a little different -- I will not change my star rating simply because this is not a huge issue. When I got home, I realized that the middle of my scalp was still oily from the oils I use as a treatment before washing my hair. Womp. The style looks lovely, and no one would ever be able to tell just by looking ... I just worry that this will shorten the life of my blow out. I was excited to have a fully clean scalp, but this fell a bit short of my expectations. I hope next time is better! read more

Should have listened to the reviews on this one...disappointing experience. My stylist was not overly friendly. I selected a curly/waves style. The stylist took large sections of my hair and curled them in about 2 seconds. Side note: I have long, thick hair so I knew this was not going to turn out well. She put such little effort in and curled my hair so quickly that they had all fallen out before she was even done with my whole head. She must have noticed my disappointment because she offered to re-curl and I agreed, but then for the rest of the appointment acted irritated and annoyed. She also put so much product in my hair that it was sticky and crunchy. I had to wash it the next day which completely defeats the purpose of a blowout. Ultimately, I paid 45 for the blowout (15 for tip) to have my hair curled twice by an unfriendly stylist and still fall out within 30 mins of leaving this place. I will give them another chance! But this was a very disappointing experience. read more
