Been coming here for years after the Summit NJ joint i used lost 12 shirts. When I - gasp - complained, the rather rude owner made a grand sweeping gesture with his arm over the vast expanse of his dry cleaning kingdom and sarcastically offered: you're free to search for yourself!" I didn't nor did he even make a gesture to address the loss. So I came here. Only recently did notice the pun - both a Dry Clean Spot and the Spot where you go for Dry Cleaning! always efficient, on time, kindly and on one occasion an older employee ran after me in the parking lot to fix a minor issue I didn't even notice. Go here. Trust them with your clothes And is it true that Yelp charges business $200 a month to be on Yelp? God I hope not! read more

First they damaged a linen shirt trying to remove a stain and would not compensate me in anyway. The second offense was they ruined a pair of suede shoes and would only give me half of the cost of the service with a store credit. I asked to speak to the owner and was denied. I was told the owner does not care. The shoes are no longer wearable and they have lost my business. read more

This incident I am writing a review about occurred in November 2024, the start of the cold season. Being a mom of three children, I appreciate my time. Writing a review is not something that is a priority in my life, but when I am continuously triggered by the work/product and the amount of times I go into that shopping center (UPS, CVS, etc)....it continues to be on my todo list. I have been a Livingston resident for 10 years. I love my town and all the people that are part of the community. This is the first time I can remember feeling robbed by a local vendor. To me, it was insane to have such a bizarre experience so close to home. I wrote a Top line summary about this issue below. I also included all the details of this issue so that you understand the whole experience (especially the customer service) which was honestly the bigger issue. It was too long to include on the actual review but it is attached as three pages in photos. TOPLINE SUMMARY See pics of my jacket before I took it to Dry Clean Spot in Livingston. First two pictures are of me wearing it: Large silver zippers on pockets and in the middle which was a big part of the jacket style. Next four pictures are how Dry Clean spot gave it back to me...with tiny Flimsy zipper (smaller than a sweater zipper) that opened up on me within days, and continues to do so. The flap that was in the back of the zipper to prevent clothes from snagging.... is now in the front. Not only is my jacket zipper getting caught on my clothes, It's lost its entire style. How was I supposed to know that I had to make sure Dry Clean Spot would use a JACKET ZIPPER to replace a JACKET ZIPPER and would know to stitch it how it came. First off, it took two weeks to get it back to me, instead of one as Andrew told me the first day. They then give me the product in the second picture. I let the extra week go, I let the flap being stitched in the front go, but when then zipper opens up on me within 2 days....there is an issue with the work and product you gave me back. After all the calls and texts and having me come back in 5 times (two of which Andrew wasn't even there), he tells me if I want him to fix it he will charge me an extra $20. This is on top of the $40 I already paid him and the additional $13 zipper I bought, as a friendly neighbor, for them to use to fix errors that were 100% on Dry Clean Spot's behalf. I never asked for dry cleaning so why would I pay an additional $18 for it. I never said it was ok to use this flimsy zipper on my jacket. (I only agreed to use a black colored one since silver was not available). I never said it was ok to move the clothes snagging flap from the back to the front, which also cheapens the look. I even bought a new zipper out of my pocket, out of neighborly kindness, so they can fix errors on their behalf. Obviously asking me to pay $73 for a quoted $40 zipper replacement is absurd especially when the error was 100% completely on Dry Clean Spot. What truly made this a whole big issue for me was the bazaar customer service. I felt like I was in the twilight zone. Too much stress or actually just weird to have so many calls come in and being asked come in so many times (just for jacket zipper), denying the flap was originally in the back of the zipper even though I am showing you pictures of how it looked before you changed it, lying that the zipper you used is a jacket zipper when anyone can see with their own eyes it is clearly not (your own staff including the seamstress), lying that you showed me this was the exact flimsy zipper you were going to use ahead of time, and lying about me in front of customers saying that I didn't pay for dry cleaning... when I never asked for it. I wrote my entire experience in detail on the attached doc so you understand everything above further. I wrote it for my neighbors to be aware of the shadiness in this business, and for the owners to be aware of how Andrew is running their business. They've been my go to dry cleaner since moving to Livingston just over a year ago. Granted, their employees do have a sort of attitude, you're required to pay in advance and their parking lot is horrible to navigate but I never had an issue. Went in today to drop off some shirts to be laundered and the less than friendly employee informed me that two of my shirts that they've laundered a few times would need to be dry cleaned. She said that the snaps could break and that they couldn't be responsible. No problem, if something happens it's on me. But no, that wasn't good enough. Rather than arguing I left and went somewhere else who will now be my new go to unless they too decide to do something stupid. But this gets better. I'm chatting with a few friends and told them what happened. Their reply was something along the lines of, yeah those people are assholes. A quick online search reveals no less than a dozen other dry cleaners in the area. Since I'm relatively confident that their skills are about equal, I'll opt for the place that doesn't employ assholes. 2 stars because they do good work. read more

my husband brought dust ruffles from 2 twins beds. after my husband paid and brought them home all the stains were still there. I told him to bring them back but he was too embarrassed I returned them and was told by 2 people the stains are not their problem and my husband was told maybe no stains would come out which is a complete lie or he would have called me when he was leaving off the items. now I am left to try and remove the stains myself which will be much harder now because the dry clean spot ironed the stains into the. material. I would not bring anything good or with stains here. read more

beware- ownership has changed and new owner is not honest. I was a long time customer of the Dry Clean Spot. During their ownership change (which they didn't notify customers) I gave them an expensive cashmere cardigan worth over $200. Their system - which was also in transition- registers that my cardigan was picked up. it was not!! the owner refused to take responsibility and was nasty. Under new ownership recently. I'm much happier with the current owners and glad to finally have my routine cleaners. I got my clothes and large blankets done in the time promised and the work was solid. If you haven't been here for more than a year, I definitely recommend coming back. Wow this place is really very good. I moved to Roseland December 30, 2019. I was looking for a new dry cleaner and My friend Mary suggested I try this place. I was in corporate for 45 years and always had my clothes dry cleaned so I'd consider myself quite experienced in dry cleaning. I am extremely happy. Everything I drop off and pick up is dry cleaned and pressed beautifully. Every time! Last Friday I went in to drop off two sweaters one was my favorite but it had a spot I didn't think was going to come out. Salad oil stain - (in the white area) ugh - plus I forgot about it last year so the stain had allot of time to settle in. When I picked it up yesterday the oil spot was gone and the sweater looked brand new again, even though it's about 7 years old. See photo below..... Now I'd like to address the staff- I can honestly say this is the friendliest staff I've dealt with in a very long time. I've never gone in and had a bad experience or had one of them rude to me. Never! They're always smiling and always eager to help. On Friday when I dropped off my stuff there was a woman in there complaining about her jacket - honestly, it looked good to me but she had an attitude and the woman at the cleaners was going above and beyond to try and make this BiAtch happy. But the moose face customer had a rude & entitled attitude. I wanted to say something to her she was so rude to them and they continued to go out of their way for a jacket that was cleary about ten years old. They never got upset or rude back to her. For a place that prides themselves I was very shocked to find out when I finally used a garment I had brought there for dry cleaning that the button was half cracked and I was never told nor did they apparently cover the button when they did the cleaning. Left them after years of patronage because they could not fix the issue with ruining dress shirt collars after multiple discussions and chances. Otherwise the service was fine. Owners seem to be very "occupied" and speaking with them does not give one a comfort feeling of attentiveness and caring. Men should pay extra attention to their collars. You may notice they have been permanently damaged by a bend. Moved on to another place close by and their pricing is competitive and my dress shirt collar issues have disappeared. Also, they tend to put a numeric sticker on your clothes that are heavily glued. While I understand the reasoning behind it ( to track and make a point on any dispute) I don't appreciate my clothing being "stuck" on sneakily without permission. read more

I've been visit this store for more than 2 years. I gave them 2 stars for fast and cheap price. But their service people really disappointed me. Hope owner find someone who can talk properly and treat customer with basic respect. Today I went to drop my uniform for cleaning. The service who helped me was super rude. First, No greeting at all. After I put my clothes out and let her count. She had no response, just look at me which made me super uncomfortable. Then she pointed at my uniform said one word "animal".. (what the heck?) After I "excuse me " 10 times, she finally like to use few more words make some sentences. Basically she want charge me extra for 5-6 cat fur on the jacket. This place will get the job done if you are not sending in items that are made of silk and have stains on them. I took my daughter's silk flower girl dress with a big stain from her crying to the store. I pointed out the stain to the cashier, and she did not say anything. When I picked up the dress, the stain was still there! It had a tag saying they could not remove the stain without damaging the dress! I was stunned! Took the dress back to my usual cleaner, pay $4 extra, and the stain was gone! I know $2.50 is cheap for dry cleaning, but I will recommend you go to a regular place if your clothes are made of special/expensive materials. read more

For some reason, finding a good dry cleaner is like finding a needle in a haystack. I have had great experiences with dry cleaners and then something happens and it becomes a shit show. That's how I ended up here, after issues with my last cleaner. I stumbled upon this place because it happened to be opened and in a convenient location to my home. They did a nice job on our clothes, were very friendly and cheap as hell. They clean almost everything for only $2.50 - shirts, pants, dresses, spring coats, sports jackets. I got my down winter coat cleaned for all of $8 and my comforter for under $30! At first, I was weary, wondering how my clothes could be cleaned and cared for at such a cheap price but after a few visits, I was hooked. It's great for my husband too, who can get so many more shirts cleaned because of the cheaper price (and sometimes there are coupons for cleaning shirts for only .99 cents!). The staff always offers to help me since I come in lugging a baby carrier (they either bring the clothes to my car or let me call ahead to have them ready for me when I get there) which I appreciate. The only drawback is the parking lot. It's tight and tiny and somewhat difficult to get a spot, unless you park in the way back behind the CVS. read more

I've had nothing but good service until today. Today I found a pair of pants that ARE NOT MINE in my closet instead of MY black slacks. I brought them in to the Dry Clean Spot this morning upon realizing that, and expected some sort of apology and promise to return mine when their other unlucky consumer realizes she has the wrong slacks, too! Instead, all I get is a manager insisting they couldn't have made a mistake because they bar code all items...then suggesting I may have gotten an "extra" pair of pants by mistake. But there's no bar code on them, right? So how can they have been added to my order from their store? Obviously they don't consistently barcode items. It's expected that everyone - even dry cleaning stores - occasionally make mistakes. The important part is to OWN it, and apologize to your good customers. Will we use this place again? Started going to this dry cleaner since its next to the pet store I use. The place always seemed busy, which is good, so I gave it a try. It's reasonable in price and the turn around time is decent..usually within a day or 2 if you drop off in the afternoon. They were actually able to get pretty bad makeup stains out of a suede jacket and a blouse I planned to toss if they couldn't. Customer service is ok...Don't expect any small talk, if any at all. I typically like to make one big dry clean haul a few times a year but they're pretty good so I started going more often. It's actually out of the way for me (distance wise) to go there but I trust them with my clothes so it works. read more

Fantastic Dry Cleaners and amazing prices. I didn't realize until I moved away from Livingston what a great combination of both they were. The owners are very professional and pleasant. If my husband leaves anything in his pockets, money or his glasses, they always call to let us know. Each item is tagged with a tiny label on the inside with a description so nothing gets lost. Even though I moved 20 minutes away, I think it will be worth the trip back to get our clothes cleaned. read more

I have been going to this dry cleaners for a year. It is logistically out of the way, but worth the drive. Organic, no toxic chemicals and everything come out great. Price, I believe it is $2.50 for anything except coat and large items. They repair too, and very reasonable. Yesterday I went to pick up my order for a business trip I am leaving on this week. They found part of my order, but the other 5 items were not showing up. I was a little upset that I had driven all the way there and then could not get my whole order. The owner came out and apologized and said they would find it, and as soon as they did he would personally deliver to my home. They located my items, and the owner true to his work came to my home at 9:30 at night to bring me my things. Who does this anymore! They are cheap and fast, but they cannot care for silk or nice materials. I have tried to address it several times with them and ask them to use a gentler process on silk. I am switching dry cleaners as they have just ruined too many garments. read more

Great prices and everything ready next day. But sometimes pants come back wrinkled, shirt collars slightly damaged, and sweaters pilly.

I was going to be as enthusiastic as everybody else here. But then I went to put on my suit for an interview a few weeks ago. I put on the jacket and I feel something odd I look down it's a broken button! So here I am frantic all set to wear the suit didn't have an alternate for what I needed, and then I took it off and look down I discovered not only was the button broken but the stain on it, and the only reason I brought in we're cleaning in the first place, was still there. I'll bring it back and see what they say and I'll be happy to update this with better information information then. I'm hoping for good customer service. Luckily I had a blazer of the same color that I was able to substitute although it didn't exactly go I managed. Not a position I want to ever find myself in again.
