This is the best dry cleaners that I have done business with during my lifetime. I dropped off a half dozen items to be laundered. Of these items, there was a two- piece dress with jacket that was purchased by my late husband. The jacket was trimmed in what appeared to be black leather but turned out to be plastic. Over the years, the plastic became fragile. I happened to wear the dress while working as a background actor and noticed the peeling of plastic. When I dropped off my clothes, it was explained to me that they could not repair the jacket. They suggested that I take it to an establishment who specializes in handling such repairs. When I picked up my laundry, I left it on my valet. I did not want to deal with the jacket. Almost two months have passed since I touched my laundered clothes. Today, I decided to put the clothes into my closet, and I was SHOCKED! I cried! Choi's Valley Cleaners had removed ALL of the plastic from around the collar running down the front of the jacket, the pockets and the sleeves with black fabric. They never said anything to me when I picked up my laundry. Rather, they pulled all my clothing together and I paid. The person who helped me smiled and said have a nice day. My overall experience was terrible. I was reff to this cleaners by a co-worker. Not going on my gut, I still gave them my business. When I went to pick up my dry cleaning. WOW!!!! Nothing had been cleaned. My Fisherman sweater still had (make up )on the collar. My P-Coat was STILL full of lint. My Knit sweater had all kinds of lint balls STILL on it. And my jeans,which I only needed a belt looped re-stitched. UGH! The stitching was a completely different color. I feel this cleaners gets a lot of foot traffic begin in the heart of South Orange. The problem is they cannot handle the volume. This was clearly the case with my dry cleaning that as dropped off a week ago. Yes the owner and his wife are really nice but the their level of dry cleaning sucks!! If you ever bring linen to be dry-cleaned there please take a picture or put clothing on while you are there in the shop. When you pick your clothing up, put on the clothing or whatever it is in front of them so they see a difference, If there is any. In May or June 2015 I brought a pair of linen pants that I had just purchased to be cleaned. I have sustained some dirt on the bottom of the pants because of pants leg were too long they what's my shoe would catch the cuff dragging it on the ground therefore became dirty. I took the pants to the dry cleaners and the lady Who owns the establishment cleaned the pants for me. When I go back to the store to inform them that my pants at shrunk as a result of the cleaning she did not nothing to resolves the issue, she said believed me, but she doesn't agree that she did it. I even showed her a photo of the pants before I sent them to the cleaners of me wearing them and what they look like. Now I've never worn these pair pants since I brought him to the store. But her blatant disregard of how she would even rectify the situation is very unprofessional. The only thing she would say is "I've been cleaning clothes for 30 years along with people's linens and that has never happened before!" However her seamstress did beautiful work on my suit jacket. This establishment Winona Ryder get my clothes for cleaning. The seamstress is excellent I would recommend there but as far as cleaning my clothes, the lady who was the owner was very unprofessional. read more

I have relied on Choi's cleaners for over a decade, since moving to South Orange in December 2005. I tried a few other cleaners at first but soon found myself a loyal customer. The husband and wife team are unfailingly friendly and honest and take great pride in their work as well as their customer service. I've had countless items hemmed and repaired over the years without any issues. I trust them with all my dry cleaning needs, from expensive silk shirts, cashmere sweaters, and cocktail dresses to suits and everyday items. When I've brought them clothing with stains (including coffee, ketchup, salad dressing oil and others!) they always inspect the stain, and inform that they can't guarantee they will get it out but they will do their best. They have never failed me - even getting ketchup out of an off-white Joie silk top and a large coffee stain out of a light gray cashmere scarf. I am a big believer in you get what you pay for and have never felt their prices are out of whack with the value delivered. Not quite sure where the reviews (reviewers) to the contrary are coming from and would advise you judge for yourself and I think you will be pleased! read more
