This will suffice. I wasn't particularly hungry so I ordered just two sides, the Crispy Brussels Sprouts and the Druthers Mac. When these arrived I had to say what the... This was not a side order... more like a side for the entire table of 4, but I was only a party of one. The first thing I tore into was the Brussels Sprouts. Yum. Crispy with a slight tang from the hoisin sauce. I almost devoured this to the bottom and then came the appointment's. This was swimming in oil. Good, but just too much oil. I did dig all the way to the bottom until the end. Next time I will ask for less oil. The Mac, too cheesy. Exactly what some mac aficionados would want, but for this guy, too much bechamel. I wasn't even aware that there were going to be so many business under the apartments at Mohawk harbor. What a beautiful job they did creating this spot. The complex is absolutely gorgeous. This business is on the bottom floor on the corner. Parking here is not right in front of the restaurant. There are about 6 spots on the street and if they are full you Will be parking in the parking garage. If you have a vehicle that is tall you may not be able to get into the garage. The garage levels are not very tall. We were there just about 5pm. No waiting, we were seated right away. Inside is a very industrial feel. Some tables and some booths with a bar in a separate area. We were with another couple, it was very easy to have a conversation. The wall of Windows also let a lot of light in, so it was easy to see the menu. The menu at this point is very limited. Same menu for lunch and dinner. I was underwhelmed by the selections. Mostly pub style selections. Some appetizers, salads, sandwiches and Mac and cheese selections. We started with the calamari app. It was very good. Loved the balsamic drizzle over the top. My salad and my husband's burger on the other hand were just ok. Nothing special, nothing to go back for. I am sure over time they will add more items to their menu. If the menu stays the same, we most likely won't go back. There are many local beers to choose from. It would be nice to stop their for a drink and apps on the patio and then go some place else for dinner. read more

Of course a great addition to Schenectady. Lay out of restaurant tables etc is ok. I am not a beer drinker when out to dinner occasionally I'll have a cold beer but prefer a glass of wine. Hot summer day, I usually will have a Chardonnay, both they have are garbage. How about a Kendall Jackson, can't go wrong. The menu its self is ok. My salad would have been good if it wasn't dominated by smoked Gouda. The wings with the peach barbaque sauce were not cooked enough, skin was chewy other wise sauce was good. The Brussel sprout app had way too much going on & they need to be trimmed at the end. Sometimes less is more. Because of the sun exposure coming into the windows which it is all windows made the rest unbearably hot. The service was excellent. Nothing on the menu I will be going back for anytime soon. These new restauranteurs here in upstate miss the mark and don't even know they are bad. They should get out more go visit other restaurants to learn. Was lucky enough to be invited to the soft opening of Druthers tonight. I've been to their Albany and Saratoga locations and love both. This one is their best location yet. Early dinner with SO and daughter, who is in College for Hotel & Restaurant Management and Culinary Arts, on a Saturday. Arrived at 4:15 and were seated immediately. We started with the Monkey Bread, which was fantastic. Given that it was March 16 there were St. Patrick's Day specials in the offing. Daughter went for the St. Pats MacNCheese. She was very happy with it. I had the Memphis (BBQ) MacNCheese, which is essentially a BBQ Pulled Pork sandwich combined with MacNCheese. The SO had California Gold Wings and a Spaghetti Squash side. A note about their MacNCheese, fresh pasta and chef made cheese sauces, not your typical Kraft or even restaurant fare. All of the food was excellent and portions were large, we brought more than 1/2 of each MacNCheese home (or to her dorm) for later. Then "Leprechaun Cheesecake" for dessert. Green cheesecake with fruity pebbles cereal. An interesting concept; we were divided, "funky", "unique and tasty", and "too coarse texture" were our opinions. I compliment the chef for trying something different , I would just tune it before next St. Pats. Since this is a real brew pub, I have to comment on the beer. Their Weizenbock is the first Weisse Bock brewed in the US I have seen, it compares very favorably with the Aventinus (one of my favorite beers). This is my 3rd visit, 2nd for SO, and 1st for daughter, we'll all be back. read more

Drinks are strong and the food is good. Portions are pretty big. Seems to cost about the same as anywhere else. Would go again.

First the atmosphere is fantastic! They over spent on the rehab according to their website and it was worth it! The food was also very good. Order the Mac and cheese and split it easily with 2-4 people. If this wasn't a brewery Based they'd get 5 stars. But since the focus should be on the beer it is a 3. This is my favorite spot in Schenectady. My boyfriend and I visit often from Albany because its worth the drive. The vibe here is so friendly from the attentive hosts to the knowledgeable waitstaff. Druthers is always changing their beers so it's exciting coming to the same spot and having variety. It's also always packed but we never have to wait too long for a table, and even when it is this busy the food comes out insanely fast! We have been regular customers here and have noticed a decline in the food portions. The burgers went from an 8 oz patty to 4 but you can order a double patty for $15.00 which is an increase in price. You were not able to order it to your liking as the only offer it well done. Tonight, however, I was told one thing on the phone and another 10 minutes later when my extended family and I arrived for the "possible 5-10 minute" wait for an outside table. Instead, in person we were told It would be at least 30 minutes. As of this review time I am giving Druthers three stars, mainly because the two times I was there the burger and the cubano sandwich were meh. Not bad not good, just meh. The burger was lacking in flavour and the Cubano was slightly soggy. I had a burger at Dukes a few days ago and for the $3 price difference I would go to Dukes their burgers are fantastic, the perfect burger. Now both times I tried a taste of my fellow diners meals and the mac and cheese was incredible and the kebobs were also excellent. The atmosphere is great, service excellent and seating was fast because we hit them at an off time. That being said be prepared for a wait during peak times especially the weekends. I live nearby and have seen people milling about during lunch and dinner. The hostess said it can be an hour or more during popular times. read more

So on 5/22/19 several of us were meeting for a gathering. Our first guest arrived at 3:30 to get us a table outside. She told the hostess there would be maybe 5-6 more arriving to order some drinks and appetizers. The hostess then told her "So if you are going to order only appetizers and not dinners we may have to ask you to move @ 4:30 as that is our busy time." I then arrived at 4:00 and as we waited for our other guests not ONE staff member came over, NOT ONE! We each went up to the bar to get our own drinks, and were never "waited" on. At this time it was almost 5 o'clock when one of our other guests had to go inside to find someone to come wait on our table. Unacceptable! We all agree the food was fantastic the service was horrible! The man who eventually did become our waiter, although by his own admission he did not come onto his shift until 4:30 was lovely. I find it upsetting that paying customers are told they may have to move because we were not getting dinners, which in fact most of the appetizers are more pricy than the dinners. I think your hostess and wait staff should be more in tune and watching to see what tables clearly have not gotten anyone to serve them as it was blatantly obvious we hadn't. There were only three tables on the entire patio, and several staff members were standing outside staring all around into space. Very disappointing! read more

Have been here several times and am always satisfied. Food is outstanding for lunch or dinner. Have ordered burgers more than once and they are cooked properly medium-rare and so juicy you need to roll up your sleeves. The flavor is amazing! Salads are huge and delicious. If you add meat to the salads they are not stingy and it is more than a meal. Lunch combo's are a great bargain and plentiful, you won't leave hungry. Menu items are what I call Pub-Creative! I've never had a bad meal here and everyone I've dinned with raved about their meals as well. Although I'm not a beer enthusiast I will drink it here because it is so fresh and delicious. Beer flights are the way to go for a novice beer drinker and they are a good deal. Atmosphere is a little sterile, but that's OK for a brewery. Location is nice, especially in the warm weather when you are fortunate enough to get out on the patio overlooking the harbor, but I don't mind eating here in the cooler months because it's always a good meal at a good price and very satisfying every time! read more
